Heading to Hogwarts and Sorting
The screen opened up to show Orion and Walburga Black waiting by the stairs. It zooms in on Cassiopeia and Regulus Black walking down the stairs. "Bonjour papa et mama." They said at the same time. "Bonjour our stars" Orion and Walburga Black replied. "Where is your brother?" asked Orion. "I don't know papa." Cassiopeia replied. "I think he is making his way down here." Regulus replied. Just as he said that down walks a Sirius Black. "Bonjour Reggie, Bonjour Etoile" Cassiopeia smiled hearing her older brother use the Etoile nickname for her.
"Kreacher" Walburga called. As soon as those words left her mouth the house elf appeared. "Yes mistress Black?" Kreacher asked bowing his head. "make sure to have this house spotless clean by the time we get back home." Walburga demanded. With a swift nod towards his mistress Kreacher makes his way to the family room to start cleaning. Walburga then turns towards her only daughter. "Now Cassiopeia, remember what we taught you." Walburga said. "Yes mama. A pureblood daughter is to not embarrass her family." Cassiopeia replied. "Remember to keep you head tall, Posture perfect, do not cause any trouble, make friends with other pureblood families, be the perfect daughter, and do not talk to any muggles unless it is required." Both Cassiopeia and Walburga Said at the same time.
Even though Cassiopeia prepared for this her whole life, she still couldn't help but wonder if she messed things up, what would happen? What if she wasn't the perfect daughter? Would she be a disappointment to her family? Would she cause disgrace to the family name? Would she cause the Black family to face another scandal in society?
This cause the wizarding world to look at Cassiopeia with looks of pity. Cassiopeia looked down she hated having her feelings and thoughts out in the open for everyone to see. Percy noticed and pulled her into a hug, trying to comfort her. Regulus Black not liking a stranger he doesn't know being so close to his sister stands up and walks over towards them. "Get your hands off of my little sister". Percy just looked up at Regulus and didn't move. Thus caused Sirius to stand up and start walking towards them. "I would listen to him if I were you." This caused Cassiopeia to look up.
Cassiopeia looked at both of her brothers. One who abandoned her and the other who she will do anything for. She turns to talk to Regulus. "Its ok lune I know him. He is a good friend of mine" while more than a friend Cassiopeia thought. "You can trust him." This caused Sirius to scoff. "How do we know he isn't going to hurt you etoile? We don't who he is." Sirius argues. This causes Cassiopeia to get mad. "One he isn't going to hurt me and my word should be enough to prove that. Two do not call me that nickname. Three you have no right to be worried about if he hurts me because you hurt me first when you abandoned Reggie and I. Now go sit back down with your quote on quote brother in everything but blood. And your stupid best friends who I am pretty sure aren't even loyal to you." This caused Sirius to look down. He soon followed her words and walked and sat down between James and Remus.
After going over the rules and expectations the family made it to kings cross station. "Now Etoile walk through the wall right." Regulus told his little sister. "Can I watch someone do it so I don't mess it up?" Asked Cassiopeia. " I will go through the wall first Cassie, so don't worry your big brothers got you." Sirius replied. Sirius gathered all of his luggage and walked through the wall disappearing. Soon after Cassiopeia followed.
Once all of the Blacks were on platform 9 and 3/4s, Sirius departed from his family looking for his four best friends. A half-blood, and what the wizarding world deems two blood traitors. Cassiopeia was wishing her older brother stood with them but shrugged it off. They were walking down the platform when they ran into Cassiopeia's Uncle, Aunt and cousin. "Bonjour Uncle Cygnus and Aunt Druella." Cassiopeia said with a polite nod. "Bonjour Cassie, and Reggie" Cygnus replied. "Bonjour my little peia." Narcissa greeted her cousin with a smile. "Bonjour Cissy" Cassiopeia replied wishing to hug her favorite cousin, but follows the rules and gives her cousin a slight nod.
Bellatrix stands up and fakes being hurt. "How could you do this to me peia?? I thought I was your favorite cousin?" Cassiopeia looks at her oldest cousin and looks at her with a smug look. "I don't know who told you that lie, but Cissy will always be my favorite cousin" This causes Narcissa Malfoy to smile at her younger cousin. Bella only laughs. "I know, I know. We all have our favorite cousins."
As they were saying their greetings they heard the bell ringing deeming it's almost time for the train to leave. "Bye Reg, remember make us proud" Orion told his son as he pats him on the back. "Bye Cassiopeia, remember make us proud, get into Slytherin and show everyone who the Blacks are." Walburga told her only daughter. Cassiopeia gives her mother a nod, and takes Regulus' arm and walks to the train.
Once on the train Regulus ran into his friends. "Hello Evan, Rabastan, Barty." Regulus said. "Hey Reg, hey Cassie I see you are finally joining us at Hogwarts" Evan Rosier greeted. Cassiopeia looked at Evan and smiled. "Couldn't leave you guys to cause all the trouble alone" Cassiopeia responded to her brothers best friend. After saying her greetings Cassiopeia walked down the train looking for an empty compartment. She walked past many compartments until she found an empty one.
After a couple of minutes the door opened and in walked Caspian Nott with his famous chocolate brown hair. "Hello Cas number 2" Cassiopeia said with a smile. " Cas number 1 how amazing to see you again. Caspian replied back. Before they could continue their conversation the door opened again and in walked Acacia Macmillan. "Oh, I am so sorry I didn't know this compartment was full already. Please forgive my intrusion." Acacia said embarrassed. "It's Ok, Acacia you didn't know. You don't have to leave the more the merrier" replied Cassiopeia. "Thank you Cassiopeia. "Just call me Cassie. I can tell we are going to be great friends." Cassiopeia said causing Acacia to smile.
Caspian turned towards Acacia and gives a friendly nod. "Merry meet I am Caspian Leonardo Nott Heir to the most ancient and Noble house of Nott." Acacia nods and replies "Merry meet I am Acacia Daphne Macmillan of the most ancient and noble house of Macmillan." Acacia goes to sit down by the window sitting in front of Cassiopeia when the door opened for the fourth and final time. In walks a boy with black hair and blue eyes. He looks around and greets everyone. "Merry meet I am Beauregard Phoenix Parkinson Heir to the most ancient and noble house of Parkinson." Everyone turned towards hum and did their own greetings. "Would it be possible for me to share this compartment with you?" Asked Beauregard. " You may" Cassiopeia replied.
"The start of a beautiful friendship" Beauregard Said. "Of course it was Beau, I Mean I am apart of that friendship Caspian replied. "Be quiet Cas number 2" Acacia Said slapping Caspian on the shoulder. Many of the adults looked at the group of friends and smiled.
After a while the train came to a stop. Cassiopeia and the others gathered all of their things and walked out of the train. 'First years over here." Cassiopeia turned to see a tall man. Her and the rest of the first years followed the half giant to the Black lake. They all got into the boats, Cassiopeia was in a boat with Caspian, Acacia and Beauregard. Once they reached the shore, Caspian helped Cassiopeia out of the boat. They walked into Hogwarts where a lady with green robes and glasses was standing.
"The first years professor McGonagall." The half giant man said . The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will
have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory and spend free time in your house
common room. ‘The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff,
Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will
earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup, a great honor. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours. 'The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting.’ ‘I shall return when we are ready for you,’ said
Professor McGonagall. ‘Please wait quietly.’
"Same speech every year" said a 7th year Hufflepuff. "So the house are basically your family?" Asked Nico. "Yea they are Neeks" Cassiopeia replied.
"What house do you guys think you will get into? I for one know I am going to be in Slytherin, but if by a small chance I wouldn't mind getting into Ravenclaw" Beauregard Said. "I hope I get into Slytherin." Acacia replied. "I am happy with any house as long as it is not Gryffindor, what about you Cas number 1?" Caspian asked. Cassiopeia looked at her new found friends. " My whole family minus my oldest brother has been in Slytherin. I know I will follow my ancestors footsteps and be sorted into Slytherin." Cassiopeia replied.
"Why is it so wrong to be sorted into Gryffindor?" Asked Thalia. "We all have our different reasons, I know I am not a Gryffindor. That's why I wouldn't want to be sorted into Gryffindor. I would stick out like a sore thumb" Caspian replied. "When I was 11 I had no faults with Gryffindor I just had my preferences. Sadly can't say the same now." Beauregard and Acacia both replied. "Thals my whole family was in Slytherin minus Sirius I wanted to follow in my families footsteps and be sorted into Slytherin. I would have been unhappy with anything else." Cassiopeia replied.
Shortly after Professor McGonagall walked into the room "follow me." McGonagall said. The first years listened and followed Professor McGonagall in a straight file line into the great hall. Cassiopeia looked around and saw her oldest brother sitting at the red and gold table surrounded by his friends. He saw her and smiled at her. She turned towards the green and silver table and saw her cousin and brother sitting by their friends they both gave her a nod and smile.
They soon reached the front of the great hall. At the front was a long table that sat the professors and headmaster and in front of the table was a stool with a sorting hat that looked like it beat dragon pox. The hat opened its eyes.
"Oh,you may not think I'm pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your tops hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.
Y ou might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell brave of heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff,

For I'm a Thinking Cap!!" The Sorting hat finished singing. Everyone clapped their hands for the hat.
"When your name is called walk up to the front to be sorted into your house." Professor McGonagall said.
"Adam's, Aubrey" became the first Ravenclaw.
After a few minutes of waiting her name was finally called.
"Black, Cassiopeia" she slowly and elegantly walked toward the stool. All around she could hear whispers. "That's the Black family princess" " I bet 50 galleons she is going to be sorted into Gryffindor like Sirius Black." "You are so going to lose, her nickname is literally the Black family princess she is going to be sorted into Slytherin" was all she could hear.
"Why do they care so much about where you are sorted?" Asked Eurytion. "Like Lord Malfoy said before, the Blacks are considered royalty in our world. And everyone wants to know if she is going to follow in her oldest brothers (Sirius) footsteps or the rest of her families footsteps." Replied Euphemia Potter.
As soon as she sat down the Sorting hat was placed on her head. She could feel the sorting hat rummaging through her thoughts. After about 5 seconds the sorting hat yelled "Slytherin!" Cassiopeia smiled and gently stood up from the stool and made her way over to her brother and cousin. She looked over at Sirius and gave him a smile to which he returned. "Give me my 50 galleon's" the student from earlier said.
Soon the sorting ceremony was done. All of Cassiopeia's friends were sorted into Slytherin. Cassiopeia was contempt and happy she was on her way to make her mama and papa proud. She just can't forget to also make him proud.
This cause confusion amongst the wizarding world who is this him they all thought. The Demigods turned towards Cassiopeia and gave her knowing looks.
