Hermione struggled to fall asleep that night. Tossing and turning in her sheets, throwing them off to wrap herself back up again. Her legs became restless, her mouth like sandpaper. Before she knew it, she was sitting with a cup of tea, doomscrolling on her phone.
She clicked into her photos, scrolling up to her old school days. It was hard to look at the girl in the pictures and see how happy she was. How little care she had about silly things. Before there was too much responsibility on her shoulders. The Hermione from then had no idea how much hurt she would go through.
