Chapter 11
Ginny grabbed the last of the clothes she had sitting out on the couch, shoving them into the suitcase opened on the floor.
“You’d fit so much more if you folded them Gin,” Hermione laughed from the other couch.
“I know but I’ve still got clothes at Mum’s. I don’t need that much.”
“As you say, chucking the whole of your wardrobe into a tiny suitcase.”
Hermione helped her with the last of her things, grabbing her jacket for her. On time, a knock came from the door. Ginny answered it with a bright, “Hello!”
“Hello gorgeous,” Theo said, kissing her once on the cheek.
“Afternoon my love. I can’t thank you enough for this, it would have been no bother to get the bus.”
“Nonsense! I’ve got a car for a reason sweetness.”
“Do you ever stop flirting?” Draco’s drawl cut through the sound of Ginny zipping the suitcase. Hermione hated how fast her head turned.
“What are you doing here?” Hermione asked.
“Thought you would be inconsolable after your girlfriend leaving.” He leant against the wall, folding his arms.
“So thoughtful of you,” she deadpanned.
Once Ginny was fully packed, she hugged Hermione tightly. “If you’re freaked out, go to the boys. Or your mums or anywhere,” she said quietly.
Hermione nodded. “I will Gin. Be safe travelling.”
Not that he was earwigging - but it was difficult not to hear Ginny’s voice – Draco now had to wonder why she would be so freaked out staying herself. It was a relatively safe building, with codes on the main door and apartment door. He looked at Hermione and she did look freaked. He would continue to wonder until she wished to speak he supposed.
