Chapter 1

James was running to find his cousins; he had to show them what he had found. He searched the entire house and finally found them in Albus's room. There were Lily, Albus, Rose, Lysander, Lorcan, Scorpius, Victoire, Teddy, Alice, Louis, Hugo, Fred, and now James.

"Guys, guys, you won’t believe what I found!" James shouted as he entered Albus's room, which had been expanded to fit everyone.

"James, what now?" asked Lily, tired of James's constant shouting.

"I’m going to ignore you, little sister, and pretend you’re not here," James said while pulling a kind of golden necklace out of his pocket. "Look at what I found." Rose immediately recognized what it was and snatched it from James’s hands to avoid an accident.

"HEY! That’s mine!" James protested.

"It’s a Time-Turner, you idiot! You could send us all to the past or the future. It’s dange—" But before Rose could finish, James grabbed the Time-Turner back from her, causing it to fall to the floor and break.

A violet smoke began to emerge from the Time-Turner, quickly filling the room.

...

Everyone started spinning and lost their sense of direction. When their heads finally stopped spinning, they realized they were at Hogwarts.

"JAMES SIRIUS POTTER, WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THIS TIME?" Rose shouted at the top of her lungs, drawing the attention of several students passing by.

"I don’t know," James was scared of Rose, and rightly so. You never want to make Hermione Granger-Weasley’s daughter, or her mother, angry.

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" Rose kept shouting, not caring that people were watching, or perhaps she hadn’t even noticed. "WHERE DO YOU SUPPOSE WE ARE? HUH?" Everyone was terrified of Rose and grateful not to be the target of her anger.

"I DON’T KNOW! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?" James was getting angry too.

"OH, I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO DO, BUT YOU GOT US INTO THIS, SO YOU’RE GETTING US OUT!" The argument was starting to attract more attention than they wanted, and Scorpius, noticing this, decided it was time to intervene.

"Rose, calm down," he gently touched her shoulder, expecting her to yell at him to stay out of it, but that never happened. "We should talk to the Headmaster of this time." Scorpius realized he didn’t know who the Headmaster was in this year or even what year it was. He approached one of the students watching the argument. "Hello, could you tell me what the date is today?" he asked, trying not to raise suspicion about their time travel. "Monday." That wasn’t helpful. "The full date, please." He was sure he was raising suspicion now, but he needed answers. "Monday, September 2nd, 1996." The school year had just started; maybe they could blend in. "Thank you," Scorpius thanked the student and went back to Rose. "Who was the Headmaster in 1996?" he asked Rose, knowing she knew everything about Hogwarts history—like mother, like daughter.

"Dumbledore," she answered without much thought, but then she continued, "It can’t be. We’re in our parents’ sixth year at Hogwarts." Everyone fell silent, unsure of what to say or do.

"You thirteen, please come with me," said Dumbledore, who had appeared among the crowd of students. "Yes, Professor," Scorpius responded, trying to avoid causing more trouble.

"But..." Rose whispered to Scorpius, to which he responded with a look that said, "We have no other choice." And so, all the members of the third generation followed Dumbledore to his office.

"Well, kids, I know you’re not from here, but if you could save me the trouble of figuring out where you’re from, that would be great," Dumbledore said bluntly. Rose glanced at Scorpius discreetly, seeking guidance, and he, noticing her look, subtly nodded, indicating they should tell the truth. And so they did. "Professor Dumbledore, we’re from the future. My idiot cousin brought us here by accident, and we don’t know how to get back," Rose blurted out the truth without pausing to breathe. "Fascinating, fascinating," Dumbledore replied, leaving everyone stunned, not understanding what was so fascinating about the situation. "What’s so fascinating, Professor?" Teddy asked. "Oh, nothing, just my own thoughts, Mr...." "Lupin," Teddy finished.

Dumbledore remained silent for several minutes, and all the teenagers looked at him anxiously, hoping he had a solution to send them back to their time.

"Well, there is a way to send you back to your time, but it will take one to two weeks to accomplish," Dumbledore finally spoke after several minutes of silence.

"And what are we supposed to do in those two weeks?" James asked, a bit irritated, still upset from the argument with Rose. It wasn’t entirely his fault.

"You could introduce yourselves to your parents and spend some time with them while they were teenagers," Dumbledore suggested. Rose thought it was a very reckless idea.

"But that would change the future, sir. It would change our present," Rose protested.

"Don’t worry, Miss Weasley. I noticed by your freckles that this can be fixed."

"How?" Albus ventured to ask.

"Well, Mr. Potter, you look just like your father. At the end of your time in this present, every moment you shared with someone from this time will be erased from their memory and will remain only in yours, so you can understand what your parents were like at your age." After these words, no one had any objections, and everyone agreed to spend time with their parents as young people.

"Professor Dumbledore, would it be too much trouble to ask for some people who aren’t at Hogwarts to come here?" Teddy asked, hoping to finally meet his parents.

"Of course, you can. Just give me a list of the people to call, and I’ll take care of it."

"Where would we stay?" Albus asked.

"You can stay in the Room of Requirement until you introduce yourselves, and then you can stay in your respective houses and attend classes, even those who have already graduated," Dumbledore finished speaking, and the teenagers were about to leave when Dumbledore stopped them. "One last thing, I’ll cast a spell so that until the moment you introduce yourselves, no one will recognize you except among yourselves." No one understood why.

"Why?" Rose asked bluntly. "It’s simple, Miss Weasley, because I need a bit of fun and drama before the year I have ahead of me begins." They all knew from the history of magic texts what Dumbledore would do that year and understood that he would indeed need some fun before facing that year. He wouldn’t have fun ever again.

"Believe me, Professor, there will be plenty of drama among us. The third generation broke some traditions," said Victoire before leaving the Headmaster’s office, and so did everyone else.
