Chapter 2

Dinner had arrived, and throughout the day, the main topic of conversation had been about those kids who had been arguing in the corridors and then disappeared after going with Dumbledore.

Everyone was eating when Dumbledore stood up from his chair and asked for silence.

"Good evening, students. As you may have noticed, we have guests at our dinner tonight," he said, pointing to the table where Molly, Arthur, Remus, Tonks, Bill, Fleur, Percy, and Rolf were seated. "Well, they won't be our only guests; they are here at the request of our special visitors." The Great Hall filled with murmurs. "Silence, please," he requested, and everyone fell silent. "We have received visitors from the future. They will be staying with us for two weeks, and some of them may be your children." The murmuring started again, but it was quickly silenced by a Muffliato cast by McGonagall. "Continuing, these visitors will be introducing themselves to you between tonight's dinner and tomorrow's breakfast, and I hope you will treat them with the utmost respect," Dumbledore concluded and whispered something to McGonagall, who simply nodded and left the Great Hall. "Now, let's start with some of them who will be introducing themselves and sharing a few things about the future." Dumbledore paused for a second and added, "Before you ask, Miss Granger, this will NOT affect the future. Everything is defined and organized to ensure that doesn't happen." With that said, Dumbledore sat down, and almost immediately, McGonagall returned to her seat at the teachers' table.

The first visitor from the future walked to the front of the Great Hall, where there was a fountain of water, and stood behind it. "Hello, my name is Alice, and I’ll reveal my last name later," she said, wetting her face with the water from the fountain. The students from the second generation could see a teenage girl with a defined figure, straight blonde hair, and brown eyes. "I’m 15 years old, I’m at Hogwarts, and I was sorted into Gryffindor." The named house cheered. "I love Herbology, and I hate Defense Against the Dark Arts, plus I’m not very good at it," she added. Everyone was analyzing her from head to toe, trying to figure out who her parents were, but it wasn’t entirely clear. "And my full name is Alice Longbottom." Neville turned pale; he couldn’t believe he had a daughter. He had always wanted children but never thought he would have them, as no one seemed interested in him romantically. "And my mother is..." Neville dropped his glass, but he ignored it and urged his daughter to continue. "As I was saying, my mother is Hannah Longbottom, née Abbott." Hannah couldn’t believe it either—she would end up with Neville? How was that possible? She was just starting to realize she might feel something for that Gryffindor boy, and Neville, Neville couldn’t process so much information at once and just stared ahead with a blank mind. "Well, I’m not surprised by this reaction," Alice said as she made her way to the Gryffindor table and sat down.

"Hey, sweetheart, do you have a boyfriend?" shouted a boy from Ravenclaw, earning a murderous look from Neville, who had processed what had happened and didn’t like that someone was flirting with his daughter in such a way, regardless of the fact that he had just met her. "Yes, I do have a boyfriend, and besides, that’s disgusting—you could be my father," she replied. All eyes in the Great Hall turned back to Hannah and Neville, who didn’t dare to speak to each other, both blushing slightly.

"I almost forgot, I’m the youngest; I have an older brother named Frank, who’s 17." Hannah and Neville exchanged a brief glance but quickly looked away, both slightly more flustered.

Immediately after Alice’s introduction, two boys of the same height entered the Great Hall and made their way to the fountain at the front. "Hello, past! We’re the Scamander twins." One of the twins wet his face, revealing a handsome, tall boy with blonde hair and dreamy gray eyes. All the girls were staring at him, entranced. "I’m Lysander Scamander." The other boy wet his face, showing how identical they were. "And I’m Lorcan Scamander." All the girls continued to gaze at them, whispering among themselves about these two handsome visitors, which caused a slight irritation from Rolf, who didn’t care that no one knew him at this school and that he had just met his sons. He spoke to all those girls, "They could be your sons, and to add to that, they’re MY sons, so I ask you to show some respect and let them continue." The entire Great Hall stared at the boy they had never seen before, wondering who the lucky girl was who married him—he was very handsome. "Thanks, Dad," said Lorcan. "We’re twin brothers, we’re 17, and we’re in different houses. I’m in Ravenclaw, and my brother Lorcan is in Gryffindor," Lysander summarized, and the mentioned houses cheered.

"Our mother is Luna Scamander, née Lovegood." All the girls looked at Luna with envy. "What? Did someone call me?" asked a confused Luna, who hadn’t been paying attention to what was happening until that moment. "Definitely the mother we know," Lorcan commented humorously to his brother. "I think we should introduce them. Mom, this is Dad." The entire Great Hall laughed at the twins' antics.

"Hi, I’m Luna," she greeted timidly.

"Hi, I’m Rolf," he replied, and both of them quickly sat back down, very embarrassed and confused, promising themselves to get to know each other better when there was less of a crowd around.

"I think that’s all from us. Any curious minds want to know something?" Lorcan asked, and immediately a voice was heard in the Great Hall, "Do you have girlfriends?" It was Rolf who asked.

"No," Lorcan replied, to which several girls silently cheered.

"Yes," Lysander replied, causing groans from some of those present. "Can we know who it is?" Now it was Luna who spoke. "Yes, Mom, actually, you’ll meet her soon; she’s one of the visitors." Neville relaxed his gaze when he realized the boy was talking about a girl who hadn’t introduced herself yet—it wasn’t his daughter. "Now I’m addressing my girlfriend’s father: please don’t kill me, I promise you’ve already done it in the future, there’s no need to repeat it." Everyone was confused, trying to figure out who this mysterious girl’s father was.

With that, the twins went to sit down, each at their respective house table. Lorcan at the Gryffindor table, and Lysander at the Ravenclaw table.
