Day 3 (Jilly)
“Hello Lily, can I carry your books?”
“No.”
“Hi Lily! Would you like some sweets?”
“No.”
“Hi Lily, are-“
“No”
Lily Evans was sick and tired of James Potter annoying her. Sure he meant well, but he followed her around like a lost pup. And sure, maybe she could admit that she did like James’s glasses and the way his hair was always styled the same way was sorta cute and may-
“Earth to Lily?” Lily’s friend Marlene waved her hand in front of her friends face.
“Sorry, just off in my head.” Lily admitted.
Marlene raised an eyebrow as she slung an arm around her girlfriend Dorcas.
“Is that James Potter you’re staring at?” Dorcas asked.
“No!” Lily screeched, her face turning as red as her hair.
“Ooo, Lily fancies James!” Marlene sing-songed.
“Shut up!!” Lily yelled.
The table was silent for all of five minutes before Marlene gasped.
“Oh my god, he’s coming over.” Dorcas said in disbelief.
James potter had a goofy smile as he stood next to Lily.
“Hello Lily Evans!” James said.
“Hello James Potter.”
“Wow, you’re actually talking to me, and not telling me to be qui-“
“James?”
“Yes?”
“What did you come over here for?” Lily asked.
James smiled.
“My friend Sirius is having a party at his place tonight, would you like to come? With me?” James asked as he bounced on his feet.
Lily thought for a moment.
“Sure.”
James blinked.
“Did you just say sure?” James beamed.
“Do not make me regret it.” Lily warned.
James smiled and ran off to his friends.
Lily sat down with her friends and their mouths were wide open.
“Did you just say yes to James Potter?!?” Marlene asked.
Lily nodded as she rummaged through her bag.
“Yep.”
Lily pulled out a pack of sticky notes and wrote something onto the top one.
“Told you you fancied him.” Marlene said.
James Potters’s friends were congratulating him on getting Lily to come.
James was laughing when he felt someone tap his shoulder. It was Lily.
“Here. I figured you don’t have my number, and I’m only going if you pick me up.” Lily said as she handed James a folded sticky note.
As Lily walked away, James unfolded the note.
