Chapter 3

"Where the hell have you been, Reg? You've been out for more than ten hours straight!" Sirius said in the exact instant the younger brother stepped in the old house.

"Wait." he added a second later, scanning what Regulus was wearing.

"Those aren't yours. What-" he tried to say, but the younger cut him up.

"Oh, for fuck's sake, shut up a damn minute." Regulus said, exaspered by all the question his brother was asking.

"I went to Evan's place because it started raining and he gave me some clothes to change since mine were soaking wet." he explained with a dryly.

"Evan? Evan Rosier? Seriously? You know I don't want you to go around with him or the other one." he said, clearly mad because his little brother kept disobeying him.

"I don't care what you want, Sirius." Regulus said as he walked past him, heading to the stairs.

"They're my only friends, deal with it." he added, shruggling as to end the conversation but, of course, the older wasn't going to let it go that easily.

"No, I'm not 'dealing with it'. Stop being so stubborn for once." Sirius said, raising his voice a little.

"You can make new friends, stop using it as an excuse." but Regulus didn't stop his walk up the stairs, not bothering even to answer, strangely.

With a loud, frustrated sigh Sirius walked in the living room again, plopping down on the couch with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Didn't go so well, huh?" another boy asked, sitting close beside him.

"It never goes well with him, Moony." Sirius answered as he leaned against the other's shoulder.

"Have you tried to, I don't know, change the way you aproach him?" the other said softly, not wanting to trigger any type of anger.

"Trust me, I tried everything I could have thought about, Remus."

Remus wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pulled him closer as to comfort him.

"I could try to talk to him." he offered, still with a soft tone of voice.

"He isn't the type that talks to strangers." Sirius said.

"He hardly even talks to me." he sighed.

"Trying doesn't do any harm." Remus said and stood up from the couch and headed out the room.

The door wasn't locked so, even without any answers from Regulus, the door could be easily opened.

"Hey." a strange voice said as a tall boy walked in.

"My brother begged you to come here?" the cold, sarcastic tone of Regulus's voice didn't have much effect on Remus.

"Actually, no. I just wanted to make sure you didn't try to run off."

Then silence, Regulus was turned to his side, lying face to the wall, his back toward the door, while Remus sat on the desk chair, a few feet away from the bed, looking down at the younger male.

"You know Sirius worries about you. That's why he acts like this." the taller one said in a soft tone of voice.

Again, no answers, no words, just silence. Remus needed to think about another way to make the younger at least say something and he needed to do ot quickly.

He turned around a second, seeing all the book scattered around the room.

"You like reading." Remus said, in an half way between a sentence and a question.

Then he saw a book on the desk, the only one on it, so he curiously took it up to see what it was.

"Chess?" the taller asked, reading attently what was written on the cover.

"I want to learn how to play." Regulus finally said as he turned his head slightly, just enough to look at him.

"Really? You know, I'm not a genius in subject, but I know how to play a little." Remus said, a small smile appeared on his lips.

"We can play when I come over. It may help you a little to start."

Regulus kept looking at him a little skeptically, holding up on his elbows, still lying on his bed.

"I already have someone who teaches me, thanks." he said, again with a cold tone.

"I never said I want to teach you, I said we could play sometimes." the taller cleared, repeating his previous words.

"Okay, fine. I don't really care." Regulus shruggled and lied back down fully.

"You're not even here for me, you don't need to try that for nothing." he muttered under his breath.

"Give me that fucking joint." Evan whined as he lazily tried to snatch the joint from Barty's lips.

"You've had that thing all for you for hours." he added as he was too far to reach it.

"Stop pouting like a child." Barty said while chuckling like an idiot.

"You're face gets all wrinkled." he said, but after a second he finally handed the joint to the other.

With finally the joint, Evan sprawled again on the floor, facing the ceiling while taking a drag.

"Where's Reg?" Crouch asked after a little of silence where both of them were facing the ceiling, both high out their minds.

"Still playing that stupid game with my sister." Evan groaned as the smoke left his lips.

"Again? Every time we get here, he disappears. I'm getting jealous of those stupid pawnes." he said, almost rolling off Evan's bed.

"Oh, stop. Let him have fun." the blond said back as he sat up on the floor, staring up at Barty.

"I've never seen him so happy to do something."

"Alright, alright. But it's kind of boring not teasing him for so long." Crouch said, sounding like a child without their toy.

"Excuse me?" Evan said as he stood up and moved to the bed, where the other was still sitting down.

"Am I boring to you?" he added, clearly teasing the other.

A grin flashed on Barty's lips as he leaned back on his hands, looking up at the other that was standing in front of him. It was almost funny how quickly it was to get his attention.

"Never said that, Rosie." he said, porpusely looking the other up and down slowly, wanting it to be noticeable even for a blind person.

What happened after was so quick, Evan's lips crashed against Barty's, it wasn't soft or delicate, it was rough and needy from the start. Then Barty's back was on the mattress and Evan was on top of him, straddling his waist.

Their lips moved togheter, letting out muffled sounds from the small gaps that occasionally formed between their mouths.

Evan's hands moved beneath the other's hoodie, slightly pulling it up and exposing his stomach as he explored every inch of skin. As to respond to that movement, Barty's hands rested on the other's hips, keeping him steady.

"Never knew you kissed so well, Rosie." Crouch said, the grin on his lips only widened by each second, his teasing nature coming out without any filter.

"You never asked." Evan answered.

Both knew the moment couldn't last, not when Evan's sister and Regulus were on the other room, so Evan had to move off him and sat on the mattress.

A slight pout formed on Barty's lips, clearly sad that it had to end. He didn't even cared much being seen like that with Evan, probably Regulus already knew something was up between the two.

"When did you learn to kiss so well?" Barty asked again, clearly wanting to tease the other as much as he could.

"You're not the only one who pulls enough bitches to have fun." Rosier answered, flirting back and a smirk appeared on his lips aswell.

And, onestly, Barty was left surprised about it that it took him a second to collect himself enough to talk.

"Oh my God. You finally learnt how to flirt back." he said, still not stopping with the teasing tone.

But the small teasing-bickering was interrupted by Regulus's knocking at the door.

"I'm entering. Stop me if you're naked or doing things I don't want to see." the younger said and carefully opened the door, slowly.
