Friends
The newly selected first years, made their way to their respective common rooms, following the lead of the red haired second year. Her voice was stern and Lucy could tell she took the rules extremely seriously. Despite her menacing voice, her face was soft and very pretty. Her red hair shielded her left eye, but the one uncovered eye was wide and a soft brown shade, it reminded Lucy of chestnuts and a cozy fall afternoon. Her lips were a light shade of pink and glossy. Although she was afraid of the girl, Lucy couldn't help but be in awe of her.
"This is the Gryffindor common room, anyone in this house please make your way inside. The password for your painting is Fairy Glitter. Please make yourself at home but do not forget to wake up promptly in time for breakfast in the morning." The red head left the smaller group, leading the way for the other house groups back onto the shifting staircases.
Once the group arrived, the blonde took the liberty of collapsing straight onto one of the black leathery couches and closing her eyes. The seats were clearly worn but this made them feel more homely and warm, she thought to herself. "I'm still hungryy.." Whined Natsu, slumping down next to her to Lucy's annoyance. She snapped her eyes open glaring at him.
"Just because we spoke ONCE does not mean we're friends." The girl replied blatantly ignoring his moans.
He turned to face her, their faces uncomfortably close. Lucy became slightly flustered at this but ,to no surprise, the boys face remained unfazed and unchanged. "H-hey could you back up?" She stammered. He continued staring hard into the girls dark brown eyes for a few more moments before finally replying.
"Sorry, I've decided I like you so ya don't have a choice, we're gonna be friends." He answered bluntly, turning back to face the fireplace that lay in front of the two. Lucy sighed, rolling her eyes once again as she reluctantly stood up and made her way to the staircase. This was not how she pictured her first day and she wasn't happy about it.
Shortly after the blonde had finished unpacking her belongings, she made herself at home in the currently empty dorm room, cozying up with a book under her covers. After about 20 minutes she heard a gaggle of conversation coming closer towards the room. "You should ask him Juvia I'm serious!"
"I shouldn't even be in here.."
"Oh don't be such a goodie two shoes come inside!" The wooden door creaked open to reveal a trio of girls giggling, stumbling into the room. Lucy lay her book down and looked up to the three.
One of the girls, on the far left furthest away from her, was slim and tanned, she had unbuttoned her top few buttons revealing her chest and her red robes draped over her arms messily. Her hair was a dark shade of brown and she had it parted to the side. Her expression gave off a confident aura. She was the louder of the three.
The one in the middle was shorter than the other two. Her hair was a bright white, shaped in a pretty pixie cut. Lucy knew they had to be the same age but this girl looked so young. There wasn't too much to note about her appearance aside from her cheerful smile. It showed that of a kind soul.
The girl on the end was paler, her hair a light shade of blue, but not like the striking blue shade of Levy's, no this shade resembled that of a bluebell flower, it was silky, long and wavy. Lucy noted how well it complimented her bright blue eyes. She had a small button nose and plump lips yet her face seemed to be unnerved and uncomfortable. Her robes were also something Lucy took note of, they wear unlike hers or the other girls' as they were a deep sapphire shade.
"Should you even be here?" Lucy stood up questioning the blue haired girl, her brow furrowing.
"N-no not really this isn't Juvia's common room b-but Cana reassured me that nobody would find out..Juvia apologises." Lucy's eyes narrowed in confusion.
"Are you Juvia?" The girl nodded shyly.
"Lighten up girl! It's the first night so what if she's skipping rooms?" The tanned girl came up from behind Lucy resting her arm on her shoulder. The blonde gave a judgmental stare turning to face the tall girl.
"And you are?" Lucy interrogated.
"Cana Alberona." She beamed, "This one's Lisanna Strousse and this beauty is Juvia Lockser. She's got the hugest of crushes on the guy downstairs, isn't that cute?" Cana snorted squeezing her arm tighter around Lucy's neck. Shoving her off she looked up at Juvia's gloomy eyes.
"Fine, but don't drag me into this if you get into tro- wait." Lucy froze a look of horror came over her. "Not him!?" Juvia's sorrowful expression changed to a similar judgemental look to the one Lucy had just been sporting.
"You like him too don't you.. HE'S JUVIAS!"
Lucy's eyes widened, she shuddered to think that she would ever be caught "with" him. "Trust me girl, he's ALL yours, I don't even know what you see in that pink haired freak." She held her hands up defensively in response.
"Pink haired?" Lisanna questioned, as all three girls tilted their heads in confusion. "Yeah? You're talking about Dragneel right?" Juvias face contorted to a grimace "You think Juvia would ever fall for that bumbling idiot? No! Gray owns Juvias heart." Suddenly things were making a lot more sense as the girl gazed towards the sky. "OHHH! I know Gray! Yeah he seems like a nice guy.."
"HE'S MINE! JUVIA WILL NEVER LET YOU HAVE HIM!" Her pale face was flushed as she breathed heavily, clearly out breath from screaming. Lucy was taken aback at the seemingly shy girl's aggressive reaction.
"No no! You've got it all wrong I'm not trying to steal him! I think you two would make an adorable couple!" She defended. Juvias expression softened although still slightly aggravated. "Good." Her head upturned as Cana and Lisanna giggled at the interaction.
"So what's your name?" The sweet girl smiled.
“Lucy Heartfilia, I hope we can be friends." She returned the grin as all four girls laughed together at their strange meeting.
