Dream or Nightmare?
“I want to be an Aes Sedai.” Alessia replied while looking at Liandrin who then smiled. The woman in red had a prideful smile upon her face. Alessia didn't understand if Liandrin was happy about this or not. She could still see the hurt in the woman's eyes from losing her green sister. Alessia looked back over her shoulder. Feeling a hand on her shoulder.
“I am truly happy to hear that you want to join us. What made your mind up?” Liandrin had asked as Alessia knelt down. Putting the small candle she had upon the dirt mound that was now Kerene's grave.
“Logain mocked the Aes Sedai. It made me angry. After everything you do for us and the world. How could I ignore my powers when I can use it to help?” Alessia asked as she stood back up and looked at Liandrin again.
“That is a good way to look at it. I am proud of you for making that choice. Now. I will do everything in my power to help you become the best Aes Sedai that you can be.” Liandrin spoke as she was still smiling.
“I should tell Moiraine Sedai as well. I know she is expecting an answer.” Alessia added as she was walking back towards the camp. Seeing Tarna smile and wave a little. She waved back.
“I am sure my sisters will want to stop for a bit to sleep. I do not want you sleeping outside again.” Liandrin spoke. It wasn't angry but more in a concerned tone. Alessia nodded her head at this before taking her leave from the red ajah's side. She could hear the wind whispering to her again as she closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath before walking across the camp. It was very silent as she looked around. Kerene's death had an effect on the sisters. No one was talking. Everyone was in pairs at least. They do not want anyone to go anywhere alone. After the attack that just happened. She didn’t blame them. She hated to think this but it was lucky of them to not lose anyone else. Seeing a flash of blue enter a green tent. Alessia took a deep breath before following into the tent after Moiraine. Seeing the two went silent and looked at her as she entered.
“Everything alright?” Moiraine asked as Alessia nodded her head.
“Yes. I’ve decided.” Alessia spoke. Alanna was silent and waiting for an answer.
“On what?” Moiraine asked. Pressing for an answer.
“I want to be an Aes Sedai.” Alessia spoke. Hearing Alanna gasp with a smile as Moiraine walked up to her. Placing a hand upon her shoulder and squeezed.
“I am happy to hear. Your journey is going to start soon.” Moiraine spoke with a smile. Alanna nodded her head in agreement as Alessia smiled softly.
“I for one, cannot wait to work with you, daughter Alessia.” Alanna spoke. For some reason, this made Alessia smile with pride and nodded her head again.
“She’s not a daughter yet but will be soon!” Moiraine spoke. “Now. I know we are riding here soon. There is a town a few miles from here. I am sure our sisters wish to stay in a tavern once we arrive.” Moiraine spoke.
“The men will enjoy that.” Alanna spoke as she stood up and began to pack up the green tent. Alessia was quiet at the moment while helping out as well. She yawned lightly. She was very tired after today’s events. She helped Alanna put the things up into the wagon before mounting a horse she was given for her to use. Nynaeve was riding with Lan. Alessia gave her new friend a brow.
“What?” Nynaeve asked as Alessia shook her head with a chuckle.
“Nothing.” Alessia replied.
“Let’s head out!” Alanna shouted as others agreed in unison.
Night was cooling off the day as the moon was high in the sky. Alessia was looking up to the stars. Wanting to count each one of them. Knowing that it would never be possible in any of her lifetimes. Smiling at the thought before looking back towards the road they were taking. It seemed the horse she was riding was just manually following the others.
“Sister Liandrin told me what you said to her earlier today.” Tarna’s voice came up next to her. She looked over to the Red AJah and smiled.
“Yes. Something had made my mind up.” Alessia answered.
“Care to tell me?” Tarna asked. She could sense they were being listened upon.
“Once we get there?” Alessia asked. Seeing Tarna nod her head before picking up the pace to head towards the front.
“What made your mind up?” Moiraine’s voice came this time.
“I saw the battle outside of the cave. I felt helpless. Weak.” Alessia spoke. She was only half explaining why.
“You want to get stronger?” Moiraine asked as Alessia nodded her head at this. It was only half the truth. “Do not worry. You will get there. It will take time.” Moiraine explained.
“It seems like everything these days do.” Alessia spoke.
“What do you mean?” Moiraine asked.
“Traveling. Learning. Getting stronger. Knowledge.” Alessia explained.
“Well. It’s better than rushing.” Moiraine spoke. She nodded her head in agreement.
“I am afraid though.” Alessia added.
“Of what?” The older woman asked. Feeling her horse pick up the pace as the town was now in sight. It couldn’t have been more than a few hours?
“Of falling behind. I was told there are lessons at the Tower.” Alessia answered. Seeing guards at the entrance.
“I believe you will be just fine.” Moiraine spoke with confidence. She looked at the woman in blue and gave her a small smile.
“Who goes there?” A man yelled.
“We are traveling though and wish to stay at the tavern till morning.” Alanna explained to the guard.
“It’s the Aes Sedai!” A few voices spoke. Some had smiles while others were sneering at them. This confused Alessia. She thought the Aes Sedai were well respected. She gave Moiraine the confused look as the blue ajah waved her hand. That she would explain it later. Nodding to show she understood as they made their way towards the nearest tavern.
“We will have to take shifts to keep an eye on Logain.” Alanna spoke to Liandrin who nodded her head.
“I want to help.” Alessia spoke up.
“Nonsense dear. You need to rest.” Alanna spoke. Alessia sighed at this and dismount her horse. Gently pulling the reins as she walked him over to the others. Tying him loosely before rubbing him down. Gently petting his neck before following the others inside.
“Hello Aes Sedai! I will have rooms available here soon! Please, make yourself comfortable. Food is freshly made and hot. If you are, of course, hungry.” The man at the bar spoke.
“Wonderful! We have had a day and we are hungry!” Alanna spoke. This woman. Always had something to eat. Alessia chuckled at the green ajah before she felt Nynaeve nudge her.
“I’m going to take a table at the corner. Lan and Stephin are coming. Come join us?” Nynaeve asked. How could she refuse that? She nodded and followed the Wisdom to the corner. She took a seat between Stephin and Lan. Nynaeve across from her.
“Tell me. How did you meet her?” Nynaeve asked Stephin who chuckled.
“What would everyone like to drink?” A woman asked as she walked up to them.
“Ale all around.” Lan answered.
“Coming right up! I will also bring the food.” The woman spoke as she took her leave.
“I met her at a bar. She sat down across from me. She was already brilliant at everything she did. I was nothing compared to her or anyone else. I had just gotten into a fight at the bar you see. She healed my wounds and said I knew how to fight well. I laughed at her and said I was only drunk.” Stephin began telling his story. Alessia smiled and nodded her thanks as they received their drinks. She took a drink quickly and coughed. The taste was not something she liked.
“You’ll get used to it.” Lan was laughing at her. She nudged Lan while rolling her eyes and laughed with a small sigh.
“She saved me that day. Told me that she wanted me as her warder. I had never been so humbled and honored at the same time.” Stephin spoke as he downed his drink. “More please!” He raised his mug at the bartender who nodded.
“I don’t think I could ever have a warder.” Alessia spoke as they all looked at her.
“Why not? It’s an honor to fight for an Aes Sedai.” Stephin spoke.
“I see the pain in your eyes. I could never put someone through that.” Alessia spoke with a frown. Stephin nodded and sighed.
“I loved her. She understood me.” Stephin spoke. “There is no bond closer than one between an Aes Sedai and her warder.” Stephin added.
“Except the very rare one.” Lan spoke.
“I thought there was only one bond?” Nyaneve asked as she finally joined the conversation.
“There are many different bonds. The bond depends on the two or more people.” Lan was trying to explain.
“Like when a sister takes an Accepted under her wing?” Alessia asked.
“No. Not like that. That is different. It starts like that, yes but it evolves into something more.” Lan spoke.
“The two have to be in love. Or share a deep connection. It cannot be explained. It only makes sense between the two.” Stephin added. Alessia was still a bit confused but she was starting to understand it more.
“Just do not do it.” Lan warned them. She raised a brow at him with a questioning look.
“Once a bond is performed, it is for life and beyond. It cannot be undone. If two people bonded and hated each other, life would become miserable.” Lan answered her look.
“Your souls will be bound for all eternity.” Stephin added.
“I see. I understand now. Do the sisters who bond with their warders not fall in love? I mean I am sure the feelings get intense.” Alessia asked. Their food had finally arrived as Alanna walked up.
“We have a few rooms but we are sharing up. It might be a little tight.” Alanna spoke. They all nodded at this. Alessia however was already eating as she felt her stomach hurt a little. It had been awhile since they last ate.
“So, is it true Alessia?” Nyaneve asked as she looked up to the woman. “Do you want to be an Aes Sedai?”
“Yes. Only took me a while to finally decide upon it. Though yes. I do want to become one.” Alessia answered. “What about you?” She asked. Hearing a Gleeman starting singing and playing music. The people in the tavern were cheering and dancing now. Much how they did back home during Bel Tine. She was saddened that she missed it. She was already missing her father. Lost in thought, she did not hear Nynaeve’s answer.
“We should head to bed. Get some rest.” Stephin spoke. They nodded in agreement before standing up. Alessia took out her coin purse for only Lan to push it away.
“You do not pay here or tonight.” Lan spoke as Alessia followed his line of sight and saw that Alanna had paid. She nodded and headed up the stairs.
She yawned again while pulling out her nightwear and quickly changed. The ale was still lingering in the back of her throat. Brushing her hair as she braided it. Noticing that it was now past her waist.
“Hmm.” She spoke before setting her bag down on the bed. Hearing a knock, she answered it. Seeing Tarna leaning against the wall with a smile. Alessia already knew. She followed the woman in red into another room across the hallway from the others. She went into the room after the red ajah and closed the door behind her. It seemed only Liandrin was the other one inside. Seeing a weave used as she was curious. Watching it move around the room. Alessia smiled at this.
“What was that?” She asked.
“A weave of air so we will not be heard.” Liandrin spoke as she sat down on the bed and crossed her legs.
“So, is my little friend going to tell us the truth?” Tarna asked. ‘Friend?’ Alessia smiled at this and sat down next to Liandrin.
“About?” She asked while starting the conversation.
“I saw what you did to the False Dragon.” Liandrin spoke. Alessia felt her cheeks heat up at this and looked away. “I am not judging. I am sure you had your reasons.” Liandrin spoke.
“Why should he be alive? After killing so many innocents and an Aes Sedai?” Alessia asked while looking back at the woman sitting next to her.
“As much as I agree with you, you must face trial. His fate is not up to us.” Liandrin explained. Alessia sighed at this.
“What did she do?” Tarna asked. She was curious.
“Alessia here was using a weave to choke the false dragon.” Liandrin spoke.
“We may have another battle ajah on our hands.” Tarna spoke with an impressed look.
“Do greens have to take a warder?” Alessia asked.
“Yes. Why do you ask?” Liandrin asked.
“I do not want a warder. They will only get in the way.” Alessia spoke.
“Ah. She just may be red then.” Tarna spoke while crossing her arms.
“I doubt that. I still have much to learn.” Alessia spoke.
“Either way. What you did must not ever happen again.” Liandrin warned her. Alessia nodded her head lightly at this.
“It won’t happen again.” Alessia spoke.
“Tell me. How do you feel about others abusing the one power?” Tarna asked.
“I do not like it. I don’t know. It’s like what Liandrin said. That we use it to do what we believe is right.” Alessia spoke. “Do all men go mad when they touch it?” She asked as they both nodded their heads.
“They kill the ones they love first.” Tarna added.
“Men cannot stand girls being better than them so they tear us down.” Liandrin spoke. Alessia had a feeling that Liandrin hated men.
“I heard that White Cloaks are not any different?” Alessia asked.
“No. They are worse. They have been hunting our sisters down and killing them. Burning them at the stake.” Tarna spoke with a frown.
“Why?” Alessia frowned at this as well.
“Like I said. Men cannot handle us women being better. They are angry that they cannot control what we have.” Liandrin answered. Alessia was in thought at this.
“How could the Light let these things happen?” Alessia asked while looking at them both. “Let terrible things happen?” She added. Liandrin and Tarna were both silent but they were giving each other a look. A look she did not know.
“So, what made up your mind?” Tarna asked again.
“He mocked the Aes Sedai. Said they are nothing but selfish pawns.” Alessia spoke.
“How do you feel about that?” Liandrin asked.
“Angry. I’ve seen nothing but kindness from you.” Alessia spoke as she sighed and looked at her hands on her lap. Feeling an arm wrapped around her shoulder as she was pulled into a side hug. They were silent for a while. Hearing other voices from downstairs as the music was still playing. The townsfolk had no care in the world. Alessia didn’t until that fateful day. She still did not understand what had led to the attack on her town that day.
“I want to increase her training.” Tarna then spoke. Breaking the silence.
“You cannot. Not yet.” Liandrin spoke. Tarna sighed this time.
“How far away from the Tower are we?” Alessia then asked.
“Well, now that we don’t need to shield him. Less than a week. Why, ready to get your name signed?” Liandrin asked. Alessia nodded at this.
“Well, that’s good. We need your strength.” Tarna spoke. “The Tower used to be full of girls. Now we get less and less.” Tarna added.
“How come?” Alessia asked.
“People think that we are responsible for the Breaking of the World.” Liandrin spoke.
“But that was the men that did that.” Alessia frowned. "So, that is why some of the townsfolk were not too happy to see us?” Alessia asked as they both nodded. Hearing Alanna shout about bedtime.
“Go get some rest. We will see you in the morning.” Liandrin spoke. She stood up with the other two and smiled weakly.
“Have a goodnight.” Alessia spoke.
“You too dear.” Liandrin spoke while rubbing her shoulder. Alessia began to walk to the door only to stop and move back. Giving Liandrin a hug. It was returned. Hearing a light chuckle as her back was rubbed before taking her leave.
Birds were singing as Alessia was sitting in a field of flowers. Closing her eyes and inhaling the sweet aroma of the flowers. The sun was beating down on her with gentle heat. She had a single flower in her hand. Feeling the softness of the petals. Hearing a river nearby as she stood up. Walking over to it. She was barefooted. Wearing a long white dress that went to her ankles. She looked at herself. Seeing seven different colors around her wrists on the sleeves of the dress. It had a silk and cotton feeling to it. It fitted her perfectly. She smiled while feeling the grass against her bare feet while walking towards the river. There was a pond at the end of it. She looked around her surroundings. She was alone. Slowly taking a step into the water. The cold met her skin in a refreshing way. She smiled and began walking around in the shallow end of it. Seeing several different colored fish swimming in circles around her feet. She chuckled lightly at this. She could feel the movements they were making. The wind was soft as it went through her hair. She closed her eyes and listened. Hearing the whispers of her name again. Calling to her. She then opened her eyes and looked around. Everything was gone. The water is gone. Fish and flowers. It was a blackened field that surrounded her. She frowned at this. She moved from her spot while looking around.
“You cannot run from your fate?” A male’s voice spoke as she looked around. She stopped and saw a woman much taller than her watching her. Shoulder length black hair. Pale skin. Beautiful. Dark eyes and a smile that had evil behind it. A shadow moved from behind the taller woman. It was a shorter woman. She had dark eyes also. Hair up in a tight braided bun. Very short bangs and a smile that sent chills up your spine. Her face was handsome.
“Who are you?” Alessia asked. There was no answer. They only stared at her. They started to move closer as Alessia was backing up. Fear is rising inside of her now.
“Do not run, daughter.” The voice spoke again. She turned back around and saw the shadow man from before. He was standing a distance from her but she could see him clear as day.
“What do you want?!” She asked. There was fear in her voice.
“Release us!” A voice shouted behind her. Looking over her shoulder and screamed. She had tripped and fell. The two women were now very close to her. They were reaching for her.
“Stay away!” She shouted and stood up. Turning on her heels and running. Her heart was beating against her chest as she was now out of breath. Her bare feet hit the ground hard with each step. She stopped and looked around. She had nowhere to run. Everything was dead around her.
“Where am I?” She asked.
“In the seal. Where we have been living for thousands of years.” A woman’s voice spoke as she turned again. It was as if she never ran to begin with. They were still right there next to her.
“The seal?” Alessia asked.
“Yes. Where we sleep. Release us.” The taller woman spoke. The shorter one was still silent but still smiling.
“I don’t understand.” She spoke.
“Your destiny. You cannot run from it.” The shadowed man spoke again. His eyes were burning brighter again. She felt something warm at her feet. She looked down and saw red blood spewing from the ground. Covering her feet in the process.
“I do not know what you mean by that. I am no one special.” Alessia spoke. Her voice caught in her throat.
“You are more powerful than you think. When the time comes. You will see it.” The man spoke. He reached out towards her as she moved back quickly. Bumping into the woman who both held onto her. Alessia began to panic. Screaming as darkness engulfed her again. She could feel the cold touch of the women holding onto her.
She jumped up with a scream before covering her mouth.
“What is it? What’s the matter?” A panicked Moiraine’s voice came. Alessia looked up while taking in her surroundings. She was in the green tent by Moiraine’s bed. It seemed her scream had woken everyone that was asleep up. She frowned and shook her head. Feeling her cheeks cupped as she was forced to look into the blue eyes.
“It’s nothing. Just a nightmare.” Alessia spoke.
“Dreams have power. What happened?” Moiraine asked again.
“I don’t know exactly what happened.” Alessia spoke with a frown.
“Is everything alright?” Liandrin’s voice came as she rushed into the tent. Alanna and Tarna had followed. Nynaeve was watching her from across the tent.
“Everything is fine sisters. Just a nightmare.” Moiraine spoke while dismissing them. Liandrin was watching her closely with a look that sent warmth through her. Alessia nodded her head to let them know she was alright. Once everyone had left, Moiraine sat down next to her.
“What did you see?” Moiraine asked. Lan was standing outside of the tent.
“It was him again.” Alessia spoke softly.
“The shadow man with ember eyes?” Moiraine asked.
“Yes, but he was not alone.” Alessia spoke.
“Who else was there? Did they say anything?” Moiraine asked.
“He said I cannot run from my destiny. The two women were saying to release them.” Alessia spoke weakly.
“Do you think it was the Forsakens?” Lan asked from the entrance.
“I doubt it. They are sealed away. They cannot influence anyone. Perhaps it was just a nightmare after all.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia nodded her head. Though, she could see the worried look upon Moiraine’s face.
“What is it?” Alessia asked. Touching the older woman’s shoulder.
“I feel like the Dark One is trying to influence you. Whatever happens. You must not let him.” Moiraine spoke while holding both of Alessia’s cheeks.
“I understand Moiraine Sedai.” Alessia spoke.
“Just Moiraine when we are alone my dear. Now come. We have a long day ahead of us.” Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded. She stood up and pulled out a pair of clean clothes. Grabbing a towel and soap.
“I’m going to wash. I need it.” She spoke. Seeing the woman in blue nod her head.
“Do not take long.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia bowed before taking her leave from the tent. She could see eyes looking at her before away. As if she was going to fall any moment. She sighed and ignored this. Taking her leave and followed down a dirt path they found last night when they arrived. There was a river nearby. Hearing the rush reminded her of the dream. She hesitated for a moment before taking a deep breath. This was not a dream. She was safe. She stripped her clothes off and slowly walked into the cold water. Shivering a little before moving around to warm up. Her feet touched the bottom as she was now in the center of the river. Tilting her head back as she listened to the river. It was like music along with the trees. They were singing. She smiled as she imagined herself dancing to the music. Hearing voices as she was brought back to reality. SHe began to quickly wash up her skin and hair before dunking into the water. Hearing the silence that met her ears. She stayed for a moment. It felt calm. The most calm she had ever felt in her life.
“Alessia?” Tarna’s voice came. She pushed up from the bottom and broke the surface. “We are leaving here shortly.” Tarna spoke as she grabbed Alessia’s towel.
“Sorry.” Alessia spoke as she moved from the water. Quickly grabbing the towel to dry herself quickly. The red ajah had turned to give her privacy. Alessia quickly changed and put her boots on. She felt air move through her hair. She looked up in time to see Tarna weaving.
“What was that?” She asked.
“Weave of air. It’s used for drying.” Tarna spoke. “Don’t worry. I will teach you.” Tarna added before Alessia asked. She nodded with a smile. Gathering her clothes and items before following back to the camp that was packed up. She packed up her items and mounted the horse.
“We should arrive at the Tower this evening!” Alanna shouted as many of them cheered. Alessia wondered if they were ready to be back.
“Are you alright?” Nynaeve’s voice came as she was riding next to Alessia.
“Yes. It was a nightmare. A bad one.” Alessia spoke while she was staring off to space.
“Want to talk about it?” Nyaneve asked.
“No. I think it’s best to forget about it.” Alessia spoke.
“I understand you want to keep to yourself but understand that I am your friend and I care about you.” Nynaeve spoke. Alessia looked at her and then smiled. She was thankful for having Nynaeve as a friend.
“Of course. As I do for you. Though, it was a nightmare. Nothing more.” Alessia spoke. “Even Moiraine Sedai said the same thing.” Alessia spoke.
“So, you told her about it?” Nynaeve asked.
“Yes. You know how she gets.” Alessia spoke.
“Right. She’s stubborn.” Nyaneve spoke.
“You and Moiraine are a lot alike.” Alessia spoke.
“How dare you!” Nynaeve snapped at her. Alessia laughed at this. Seeing Moiraine look over her shoulder at them with a smile before turning back. Liandrin was watching her closely.
“I meant in a good way. You are stubborn as well.” Alessia spoke. Nynaeve sighed at this and shook her head.
“She’s right, you know.” Lan then interjected himself into the conversation.
“Whose side are you on?!” Nynaeve asked in a shout. Alessia laughed again at this as she watched Nynaeve shove Lan who almost fell off his horse. He was chuckling at this as well.
“You are strong.” He spoke and winked at her before moving his horse closer to Moiraine.
“Do you like him?” Alessia asked as Nynaeve jumped at the question that caught her off guard.
“He is kind. Different. Much different. All the warders are kind.” Nynaeve spoke. Completely ignoring the question.
“Not what I asked.” Alessia spoke.
“I’m a Wisdom. Do you know what that is?” Nynaeve asked as Alessia shook her head.
“I’m a leader in my town. The Two Rivers.” Nynaeve began as the sun was getting ready to set. It was well past noon now. “I’m a healer among my people. I listen to the wind as it tells me about the weather. The seasons. How our harvest will be. If a sickness will come or not.” Nyaneve was explaining.
“My mother was from the Two Rivers.” Alessia then spoke.
“Who was she?” Nynaeve asked.
“Amelia Solstice.” Alessia spoke. “She was a traveling merchant. Met my father in Tarabon. You can guess the rest from there.” Alessia spoke.
“She must have left before my time. I never met a woman by that name.” Nynaeve spoke.
“She died during childbirth. We didn’t have any healers in our town at the time.” Alessia added.
“I am sorry to hear that.” Nynaeve spoke.
“Thanks. I try not to think about it. My father curses the Light. Blames me for it. Says I’m born of Darkness.” Alessia spoke with a laugh. Hearing Nynaeve chuckle at this.
“For what it’s worth, I am glad you are here. It’s nice to have friends from other places. Even though you are tied to the Two Rivers as well. You should come visit sometimes.” Nynaeve spoke.
“I shall look forward to that.” Alessia spoke.
“Let’s pick up the pace!” Alanna’s voice came. Hearing the others cheer. She knew everyone was tired from traveling and were ready to sleep in a bed behind walls. The safety of the city. She was as well. Alessia saw that Stephin had sighed in relief. He had Kerene’s ring around his neck. She had learned that there was a fire that never went out at the very top of the Tower. Where the rings of fallen sisters go to rest and never be used again. The stones however were buried with the fallen sisters. Alessia looked up ahead. She saw a tall stone with rune writings on it. It was white but had dirt on it. Some vines covering it as well. It was very old. She wondered how old it was. Maybe a few hundred years? She would have to ask about it. Though, someone had answered for her.
“It’s in Old Tongue. Warning the dark to not come near. It's been around as long as the Tower itself.” A green ajah spoke as Alessia smiled and nodded her thanks. She looked in the distance and saw a mountain. It looked so familiar. She stopped her horse and moved a bit closer to the edge. Getting a better look.
“That’s the Dragon mount.” Moiraine’s voice came.
“I’ve dreamt of it before.” Alessia spoke. “I was trying to figure out why it looked so familiar.” Alessia spoke.
“Come. We are nearly there.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia gasped with a smile.
“I bet you are ready to be home soon!” Alessia spoke.
“Soon it will be your home as well.” Liandrin spoke. The red ajah was listening nearby them. ‘Home.’ Alessia thought. Her home back in Tarabon, if it was still there. It did not feel like it was her home. Ever since she found out she could channel, she never felt at home anywhere. She knew her friend Jane felt the same. She moved the reins to the side to get the horse moving again. Following the red ajah as Moiraine was now next to her. She wondered if she was going to ever get time alone to herself or if the blue ajah was going to be around her at all times. After what Moiraine had told her, she was expecting to see Moiraine around a lot in the future.
“When you are constantly on the go. The Tower just becomes a place in between. Your horse becomes your home. These boots. The brooding man next to you.” Moiraine spoke. Hearing Lan chuckle lightly at this. Alessia smiled as well. Looking up and gasping. She could finally see it. It had taken away her breath. It was magnificent. It was shining brightly as the sun’s rays were meant for it. There she saw in the distance. The city of Tar Valon but that is what did not catch her eyes. It was the largest tower in the center of the city. White marble as it stood for over three thousand years and Alessia was ready to join it. The White Tower.
