We didn't start the fire
Once Dean realized how skinny Mortem was, he looked at Bobby and Sam. “Can I talk to you two privately?”
Mortem looked at them and looked at the door “I will go stand outside.” He went outside and looked around. Wondering if Death would be around. He started to tear up a little. ‘What if they don’t want me’ Hadrian started to cry a little. “Death?” Hadrian called.
Death appeared and looked at Hadrian crying. “What is wrong little one? What happened? Did they do something?” Hadrian shook his head and looked at Death. “Do they really want me?” he asked in a timid voice. “I am scared they do not want me. Will they accept me with you as my friend?” Death kneeled in front of Hadrian. “Would it be better if I talk to them? Or stay with you while they are around you?” Hadrian nodded to Death and smiled a little. “Thank you!! I really appreciate it. They will not know you are here, right?” Hadrian worried that they might see Death and be afraid of him. Death reached out to Hadrian and grabbed his hand ignoring the flinch from the boy. “Son, they have to know about me. Especially with what is in their future.”
Inside the house Sam looked outside trying to find Hadrian and saw him talking to thin air but when he looked closer, he could see the air shimmer a little like something was there. Sam yelled to get Dean’s attention. Once he had Dean’s attention, he quickly told Dean what he saw.
Dean ran outside to Hadrian and grabbed the boy in his arms and ran back to the house while Sam, who was right behind him, ran to cut the thing that was standing in the driveway. Dean put Hadrian down and looked him over for any lacerations. “Are you ok? Do you know what that was? Were you talking to anyone?”
Hadrian was crying and looked at Dean, “Why did you take me away? What happened?”
As Sam was trying to cut Death, he managed to make him angry. Death who heard Hadrian crying managed to appear right next to him. He put a hand on the boy’s shoulder and turned him to face him. “Hadrian, calm down it is ok.”
Hadrian was so freaked out he passed out.
