The Escape
Finally, everyone went to sleep. I opened the cupboard door and double checked that I had all my things. Once I was sure I left the house and never looked back.
While running from the house I had run towards a place I had seen a lot while out on the rare occasion with the Dursleys. I ran straight to the leaky couldron. Once inside I went straight to the barkeeper.
"Can you help me?" I asked timidly so as not to scare the barkeeper who wasn't paying any attention to the pub.
"What's a little one like you doing without your parents? Do you know where they are?" He paused and looked at me "Are they in the alley?" I nodded trying to find a way to get away from the creepy man.
"My name’s Tom let me help you get to the alley. You need to remember this for when you get older" he proceeds to do the pattern on the wall after finishing his sentence.
"Thank you, sir," I inclined my head slightly out of respect for the man and ran through the doorway that appeared. Once in the alley, I figured why not window shop. I went to the most expensive looking place first. Once at the door I noticed what looked like gremlin looking creatures, I inclined my head as to not piss them off. Those creatures are quite scary I hurried into the building only to find out it's a bank.
I walked up to a teller "Hello sir?" I asked while waiting for a reply. My only reply was a grunt and a universal hand sign to continue. "My names Harry Potter and I was wondering if I had an account with you?"
I was not expecting the shocked look I got from the creature in front of me.
The creature quickly schooled his features to a look of indifference. "Mr. Potter come with me please."
As harry followed the creature down multiple hallways thinking they were lost half the time. They finally came to a stop at a door. When the creature opened the door and went to sit down at the large desk Harry took a minute to look around at his surroundings.
On the far wall behind the desk were all sorts of weapons ranging from battle axes to maces. On the wall to the left was a bookshelf filled to the brim with books and files, next to the bookshelf was a filing cabinet. On the opposite wall, was a mural of what looked to be like a war but multiple.
When Harry finally gave the creature his attention again, he bowed his head a little in respect not noticing the shock. "Sir, if I may ask, what are you and what I am needed to do" Harry asked the creature. This strange creature smiled creepily "I am a goblin, and we are here for an inheritance test.” Harry smiled having gotten his answer and given the truth.
