Chapter 1
Handcanons
Barty
- Barty is "smart academically" but "stupid in life." He can learn to skateboard in a few minutes or learn to speak another language in a few days, but he can't sew, iron or cook to save his life.
- He suffers from insomnia, so at night he reads school textbooks out of boredom. When he reads them, he turns the pages into joints or cigarettes (you roll up the paper and pour in the tobacco, but please don't try to do that)
- There is no mirror in their dorm room because Barty once broke it with his fist in anger. After that, Pandora added a colorful inscription in place of the mirror: "The most important reflection is our reflection in the eyes of others"
- Barty says "rest in peace" instead of "good night" to piss off Regulus and Evan
- Barty has to take pills because he has bipolar and his friends take colorful Skittles every morning in solidarity
- Barty has a very good pain tolerance
- Due to his strange behavior, people assumed that Barty was taking something long before he even discovered drugs
Regulus
-You can tell when other people are stressed because their faces show emotions. When Regulus gets stressed, his face expresses nothing, as if it were blank. As if his body was a dead wax figure that his soul had abandoned
- Sirius loves music and Regulus loves theater (Regulus would be a great actor because he is able to perfectly control his voice and facial expressions because he hides his true emotions on a daily basis. All of Sirius's emotions are reflected immediately on his face, so he would be terrible at it)
-Regulus has an eating disorder and problems with finishing meals but it becomes easier for him when Barty sits down and eats half of the food on his plate (At first Barty was just hungry but then he did it to help Regulus)
Pandora
- Pandora "Fuck questions about my favorite color, ask me about my favorite constellations" Lovegood on a first date ( her favorite color is lilac pink)
- Her friends say "Dora" or "Panda" alternately, and for some time other students heard this and thought they were two different people and Pandora had a twin sister.
- loves reading romance novels, especially gay ones
- She is as good at potions as Barty and loves experimenting with them, so her long hair is always slightly singed at the ends.
Pandora reads about all the side effects of every drug Barty takes and knows them by heart in case something happens to him
Dorcas
-Dorcas is one of those people so strong and self-confident that she doesn't need the presence of others to feel whole. Sometimes, however, she does not notice how much others need her presence to feel it.
- Her friendship with Pandora began when Dorocas took extra art classes because she has an internal pressure to be good at all classes. But she was hopeless at it and Pandora taught her how to paint and let her imagination run wild
-Dorocas has excellent control over her emotions and Barty cannot control them at all. Only she can stand him when he has a manic episode
- she is a perfectionist.she is one of those people who always want something more and have unfulfilled ambition to such an extent that sometimes she feels that her own expectations are ruining her life, but she is unable to give them up. He cannot settle for anything less than perfection. One of those people "I want to be great or nothing"

- when he discovered the cell phone, he became addicted to it almost immediately
- he loves skateboarding and was a little jealous when he showed it to Barty and Barty immediately became better at it than him. (Barty then fell in love with Evan's passion for sports because Barty was always good at sports but was never passionate about it)

They high-fived each other not knowing if it was the last time they saw each other alive (I saw a similar dialogue on tiktok but I don't remember it so I can't tag the creator)

My handcanon is that Barty is hypersexual due to SA experiences in his childhood (from older friends, not his father because that would be too much even for me)
Evan: Where did you learn to kiss like that?
Barty: I was taught by the same person who took my virginity when I was 12

It was strange that Barty's father had known him all his life and not known about his scars. Regulus had known him for a year and knew about every one of them.

Once, when Evan was thinking about running away from home, he imagined himself packing all his things. His skateboard, his favorite T-shirts, his favorite food and books. Now he just wants to take his friends with him. Especially Barti. And run as far ahead as possible

Barty thought "Evan Rosier" was a great name for alcohol because every time he was near him, he got dizzy and wanted to smile stupidly until the end of time.
***Regulus was ashamed to even breathe in public, while Barty could walk naked and others would be ashamed to see him (Regulus is afraid of criticism from others, while Barty doesn't give a damn what others think about him)

Barty is obsessed with dangerous things such as fire, alcohol, knives and razor blades. He attracts them, or they attract him, as if to prove that he is more dangerous than them. That they cannot destroy him, only he can destroy himself using them if he wants

When Barty was younger he liked to look at frogs but the frogs jumped too fast so he couldn't get a good look at them. One time he caught one in his hands and squeezed it tightly so that it wouldn't run away. It didn't run away. Crushed things don't escape very quickly. It was the first time he realized that he didn't know how to take care of delicate things. Maybe because no one ever treated him gently either

Unlike Sirius, Barty did not seek social approval. Regulus couldn't understand why he was making such a fuss about himself then. One day he saw younger students getting out of his way in the corridor and realized that his way of isolating himself was to be quiet and Barti's way to be as loud as possible.

One day in his sixth year, Barty realized that he was starting to think Pandora's kind attitude was stupid. Regulus' calmness was starting to irritate him. And he perceived every act of kindness as weakness. He was always afraid that his father would come to Hogwarts and contaminate the place with his toxic ideology. He realized he didn't have to because he had poured this poison into his son and it was now flowing through his veins.

In muggle AU Barty's father is a military man who raises him in strict discipline. After some time, Barty becomes immune to pain and stops feeling fear and respect for authority because his father punishes him with pain for everything and he finally crosses the critical point and Barty starts to think, "He can't do anything worse to me anyway, so I don't care anymore."

Drunk, Barty lies down and stares at the sky and babbles about the spinning stars dancing the Macarene. A sober Pandora lies down next to him and talks to him until they both fall asleep (Pandora is just as crazy as Barty, she's just better at hiding it)

After an argument with Evan, Barty sits on his bed and looks at his photos. He misses him even though they are in the same room, sitting in silence

Barty uses alcohol to dull his emotions. He's been drinking a little less since he started dating Evan, and Evan wonders if Barty is just using him as another distraction.

Barty and Regulus both hate their families and their names, so Barty told Regulus that he is the only official Black for him and Regulus said that Barty is the only official Barty Crouch for him (I hope that makes sense)

When Barty was sad, he didn't sit for hours staring at the endless depths of water or the black sky. Regulus showed his emotions only when they were forcibly pulled out of him, while Barty flaunted them like loud fireworks. But what right did we have to judge someone else's madness just because it took a different form?

It would be easier if Regulus just didn't hate his parents. The problem was that he loved them despite everything and wanted to please them. Sirius claimed it was impossible and cut himself off completely. Regulus thought he was a fool, but it turned out that he was the fool to believe that his parents would ever change. Unlike Sirius, however, he preferred to hide this anger and hatred deep inside himself and let them slowly kill him

At one point in his sixth year, Barty hadn't been sober for over a dozen months, Dorocas was studying in every free moment, even forgetting to wash her hair, Pandora had visions almost constantly and couldn't tell the difference between truth and dream, Evan was constantly lying, and Regulus ate almost nothing.

At the same time, Regulus desperately wanted touch and closeness, but when he finally got it, it hurt like the touch of a warm hand on frozen skin because he wasn't used to it. When you give a whole handful to a person who has never eaten sugar, they will probably become addicted to it or get sick. Or both at once (That's what I'm talking about Regulus' relationship with James)

When Regulus was little, he and Sirius were playing and they both fell down a hill. The only thing Regulus remembered was that he had broken his arm and Sirius had broken his leg. They were both sitting in the hospital corridor and Sirius was complaining about his pain and moaning. Then he complained and moaned that Regulus was sitting so quietly and always acting like a "sweet little angel", a "perfect son". Years later, neither of their parents remembered that Regulus had broken his arm that day. If you asked the doctor who was treating them, he would probably say that he remembered that on that day Sirius Black had an extremely painful leg fracture.

Regulus and Pandroa wrote letters to each other every day during the holidays. Regulus couldn't send them officially, so they handed them to each other on the first day of Hogwarts and read them to know what happened to them during the holidays. The descriptions were so detailed that they felt as if they had never been apart

Loving Barty is like jumping headfirst into the ocean during a storm. Barty is like a raging ocean. He wants to engulf you completely, immediately flooding you with his emotions and expectations. He's also willing to do anything for you in return, but it's hard to see that when you're buried beneath the waves so deep you can barely breathe. For Evan, it was like jumping from high into the water and hitting the surface of the water. It hit him unexpectedly and almost broke him.

Sirius smokes and drinks a lot of alcohol and Regulus promised himself that he would never try it. Sometimes, when he misses Sirius very much, he lights a cigarette and inhales its smoke because it reminds him of his brother. The first time Regulus tried alcohol accidentally was when Barti's mug of whiskey was next to his mug of coffee. They both believe it was the most disgusting thing they had ever drank

When Slitherin Skittles were talking to each other on their phones during their vacation, they felt as if they were in a post-apocalyptic world and listening to the only voices of living normal people on the world

Before the holidays, Barty gave Regulus his favorite punk rock and his record collection for safekeeping because his father would destroy them. When Regulus was alone in the compartment of the train, he sat covered with Barty's jacket, inhaling his scent until the train arrived at the station where his parents were waiting.

The world needs a Marauders crosover from the Attack on Titan anime. Where James will come from the Ackermann family and will do everything to protect the Black brothers and Remus will be able to turn into a titan instead of a werewolf
We should more often describe Regulus and Barty's parents as not just purely evil in fanfic. Abusive parents also do good things and it makes them even worse because it is harder to see them only as monsters.
