wake up Cho chang x Cedric

Cho woke up to the smell of fresh breakfast being made. She smiled as she rolled out of bed and headed to the kitchen. Her husband Cedric was there cooking breakfast with their small child in his arms.

Cho smiled to herself while she watched her husband cook. He hadn’t noticed her standing there yet but that didn’t matter. The sun was shining on him causing him to look as though he was glowing. Their child was in his arms smiling and trying to take the food from the pan.

Cedric was a good father; he was kind and patient and never raised his voice. He always made time to spend with their child and made sure to not spoil them too much.

Cho loved her life and wouldn’t change anything for the world. Cedric turned around and smiled at Cho. He let their child down and they came running to Cho. She picked their child up into her arms, smiling softly.

“Morning sleepy head I’m almost done with breakfast” Cedric said, turning back to work on the food.

“I’ll start setting the table then” Cho replied, setting their child down.

Cho set the table (with the help of her and Cedric’s child) while Cedric finished up making breakfast. They all sat down and ate breakfast together.

“I have quidditch practice today but after maybe we could go out to dinner just the two of us?” Cedric asks, smiling softly.

“That would be nice but we do have a child” Cho said softly.

Cedric's smile grew. “Already took care of it Harry is going to babysit for us”

“Well you have thought of everything, what time do I need to be ready by?” Cho asks.

“Be ready by six Harry will be here at five thirty” Cho nodded as the family finished their meal.

The day continued on nicely. Cedric went off to quidditch practice while Cho stayed at home playing with their child and doing random hobbies. Eventually it got closer to six and so Cho started getting ready for her night out. She took a shower and carefully did her hair and makeup. She picked out a nice outfit and jewelry to match. Harry arrived at five thirty like Cedric said and Cedric returned shortly after Harry arrived. After the two caught up Cedric took Cho out to a nice dinner.

The dinner was nice. Cho had missed these small moments with Cedric where it was just the two of them. They ate their dinner and decided to walk home. It was dark and the stars were shining brightly in the night sky.

“I’ve missed this hanging out with you,” Cho said softly, holding Cedrics hand.

Cedric didn’t say anything for a moment, just continued to walk.

“Cedric?” Cho asked voice laced with concern.

She felt tears run down her cheeks which was weird.

When had she started crying? Why was she crying?

“Cho you have to let go” Cedric spoke softly.

Cho couldn’t see his face anymore. Why couldn’t she see his face anymore?

“What do you mean Cedric your scaring me”

“Cho I’m dead this isn’t real you need to wake up” Cedric turned to look at Cho.

All Cho could see was Cedric’s lifeless face staring back at her. Cho’s breath hitch as she was no longer standing in the street holding her husband's hand.

No now she was back at Hogwarts leaning over her boyfriend's dead body.

“No no no not again Cedric please wake up” Cho cried.

Cedric opened his dead eyes and started up at Cho.

“Cho wake up,” he spoke.

“No I won’t leave you” Cho yelled tears streaming down her cheeks.

“CHO WAKE UP”

Cho woke up sweating tears still falling down her cheek. Luna was standing over her giving her a concerned look.

“You were talking in your sleep again,” She said softly.

Cho let out a long sigh sitting up and whipping her eyes.

“I was dreaming of him again”

Luna only nodded a small nod in understanding.

“Do you want to talk about it?” The blond girl asked.

Cho shook her head standing up.

“No Luna I’m ok thank you I really do appreciate you” Cho said smiling softly at her friend.

Luna was the only one who really understood her dreams. Luna had similar ones about her mother. The two would wake each other whenever their dreams got scary. They would also stay up late talking to each other to help keep the dreams away.

Cho missed Cedric more than anything but she was glad to at least have one person in her corner to help her get through this grief.
