Chapter 12
The feast was brilliant as always, but the tension was clear as days as the students were all tense, the choosing of the Champion was finally happening. So after the feast the tables were moved at the sides while the Goblet was now placed in the middle of the Great Hall, Dumbledore then made his way Infront as the crowd went silent. The man waved his hand as the torches dimmed, making an the hall turn into a bluish color.
The Goblet then one by one presented the champions of each schools, Cedric Diggory for Hogwarts, Fleur Delacour for Beauxbaton, and finally as expected, Viktor Krum for Durmstrang. Harry was frightened for Viktor, although he did have full faith in Viktor that he can make it through the Tournament alive, though, there is another thing that made him nervous, and not knowing what's about to happen made him want to throw up.
And finally it happened.
His name was spit out by the Goblet.
All eyes turned onto him.
Murmuring.
Watching.
Judging.
It made his stomach drop.
Dumbledore then ushered him to the chamber where the other champions would be.
"What ez going e'? Do zey want us back to ze hall?" Fleur then asked. The other two champions then looked over at Harry. Viktor, who was the first to react upon seeing his friend enter then pulled him into a embrace, Harry was shaking like a leaf, something must have happened. "Harry? Vat happened? Is everything okay?" Harry shook his head, clutching over Viktors uniform. "M- my name. Viktor I- I don't know how- why but I did not-" footsteps, a lot of footsteps then entered the chamber, along with hush voices.
Viktor moving Harry to his side, shielding him from the incoming teachers, headmaster and judges. "Harry!" Dumbledore said loudly as he looked over at Krum, who was glaring daggers at everyone who came near the Potter boy. "Mr.Krum, I suggest you step away from Mr.Potter." Mr.Crouch said. "No." Viktor said firmly as he pulled Harry even tighter against him. "He did not put his name in that Goblet." Bagman scoffed, earning himself a glare from Viktor. "Oh for crying out loud, Potter! Get over right here. Now!" Viktor could feel Harry shake his head, shaking more, making Viktor want to punch that ugly face bastard into a pulp.
"No he will not." Surprisingly, It was professor Snape who spoke, making all heads turn to him. Snape raised a brow at them. "What? He is a minor, and is under no obligation to do what he deems uncomfortable. I have taught Mr.Potter for years now, idiot as he may, he will no do such thing as put his name in that Goblet." Snape stated firmly, Harry, who was now poking his head a bit from Viktors body, smiled at Snape who in turn smiled a little, although no one noticed.
"Severus is right, plus the age line was placed by Albus, you know how strong the age line was, so it is impossible for Mr.Potter to put his name in, although, he could've asked him an upper year to do so hm?" Mad eye asked turning to said person who shook his head vigorously. "NO! I DID NOT! please believe me, I never wanted to enter the tournament in the first place.." Harry said as he buried his face more in Viktors side, Viktor who now was caressing Harry's side, turned to Dumbledore.
"Headmaster, you must understand and believe that Harry would not do such thing, I was with him the entire day, he told me so himself fo his concerns regarding the tournament, as well as my well-being when I mentioned it to him that I myself could be joining the Tournament, he truly did not want to join nor placed his name in, there is a possibility of someone sabotaging this. Ve all know of Harry's history of getting himself nearly killed for the entirety of his school life. So please, if you lot are just Ganna stand there and accuse a 14 Year old boy then I am disappointed in you all.
You are all adults here aside the champions and myself, you should be wiser. Think about it Atleast, but heed my words, I will help Harry getting through this Tournament- whether you like it or not Headmaster Karkaroff." Viktor finished turning over to said headmaster who was about to protest, Viktor then lead Harry out of the Chamber. Not noticing a black figure following them on their way out.
"Well..." McGonagall started. "I suppose that solves that. I do as well don't think Mr.Potter could have done such thing, yes he may have done reckless stuff, but not willingly might I add. You should know this Albus, you know this." She then turned to Albus and sighed, now regarding the audience. "I shall get going now, Goodnight everyone." McGonagall then regarded everyone who in turn bid farewell to the witch.
"I think it's better if we all head back to bed, it has been a draining day, we shall continue this conversation tomorrow. Albus, Children." Mad-eye then said, he took leaving the chamber, followed by the chosen champions and headmasters except Albus who stood there frozen on spot.
"What am I Ganna do now Fawks?" Albus mumbled as Fawks appeared Infront of him in a ball of flame, looking at his master with a disappointed look before disappearing once again. How is this even happening? Dumbledore thought to himself as he sat himself in a nearby chair. Thinking of a way to solve this issue.
