plot
Atsushi hates his job (sing)
Atsushi was suggested to go to
Bar Lupin by Dazai.
Akutagawa works there... and immediately doesn't like him.
Atsushi is intrigued, as this development is NEW and INTERESTING.. ( he's dealt with haters but not right off the bat, and not from someone who doesn't recognize him. (He's really nice and friendly and so he has little beef.)
Atsushi starts to frequent the bar
SSKK oddly enough, doesn't develop. On Akus end. (We don't see Akus end until wayyy later though.) Atsushi is fucking WHIPPED
Atsushi first shows.. weird stalkerish signs, a little ways in. He knows it's going to be difficult to get the others attentions, and so he (very reluctantly, with Dazai's "great" advice) hires a PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR. (Under the air that they're 'dating') Said Private Investigator found things bout Akutagawa.
Specifically that he's Dating Lucy Maud Montgomery... and they recently had celebrated their two year.
Atsushi is ...disappointed (he's pissed off and lying to himself.)
Atsushi's bar frequents slowly stop for a while, jealousy over riding his urge to see aku.. but he follows him sometimes. Watches, takes pics when the other isn't looking.. steals things like dropped jewelry..
Akutagawa starts to get visibly paranoid.
When Atsushi finally arrives back in lupin, he's not greeted happily by the other. Just a cold annoyance.
Atsushi, who had seen how he treated Lucy, was sad :(
Ideas
Kyouka finding Akutagawa in Atsushi’s basement - Atsushi ends up knocking her out and berates Akutagawa for making him hurt her :(
Port Mafia Trio hanging out and Atsushi getting an odd feeling (jealous)
Akutagawa getting stalked and be coming increasingly parinoid (show not tell from atsus pov.)
Atsushi doesn’t think he’s stalking anyone, or doing anything wrong. He feels entitled to aku so why wouldn’t he follow him home to make sure he’s safe..?
My little drabble
“-thank you everyone, and goodnight!” Atsushi’s voice ran through the stadium, the speakers all around amplifying his voice even higher than the screams of the crowd in front of him.
He had always enjoyed this last bit of shows, the part where he could have a small bit of closure before he was forced into a role that felt impossible to fill. From signing constantly to signing contracts to watching his weight to running from paparazzi, he almost never had a break from his work. These few minutes, no matter how small, had always been an amble break.
He carefully moved the microphone he was holding back into its stand, and walked off stage after one final goodbye. As soon as he left the public eye, he slumped over on himself. Technicians from all sides rushed to his side, bringing towels and water for him to drank. He took them gratefully, a small smile on his face.
Atsushi reached his dressing room slower than he had wanted too, slumping to the floor as soon as the door closed behind him. For the first time since he left the room in the first place, a few hours before, he let the smile he held on his face fall as he quietly groaned.
He hated the fame of being someone like this, and it made him sick to think about. He knew what other people were dealing with on the daily, how they struggled to get by and get ends meet. But here he was, complaining about his comfortable lifestyle where everyone adored his every move. He felt like a terrible person even trying to think about complaining.
A knock on his door stopped him from spiraling. He panicked, crawling off the ground as he scrambled onto a loveseat, trying to act casual.
“Come in!”
The door to his dressing room cracked, and the last man he wanted to see walked in with a clipboard in hand.
“…hello, Shibusawa..” he murmured, trying to keep his gaze off of him and trying to act casual.
“Good Evening, Nakajima-san. Amazing show as always.. but we need to talk about-”
Atsushi inwardly groaned, already halfway zoning out as he listened to the other white haired man drone on.
Shibusawa …gave him the creeps. There wasn’t anything inherently wrong with the man, he was honestly an amazing manager, and he Atsushi trusted his decisions when it comes to his career.
That was it though, career. There was.. something off, about Shibusawa. Something he couldn’t quite place. It had thrown him off the day they met, and he had never gotten rid of that sinking feeling of wrongness when he was around him.
Shibusawa was a family friend of the Nakajimas, and he had many past experiences with quite famous singers in the past. Dostoevsky comes to mind, a quite famous Russian composer. Shibusawa had helped get his career off the ground, but they fell off a few years before Atsushi even attempted to try his hand at this music thing. He was the best option when thinking of a cheap, reliable, high-end manager for a newly chart-topper like Atsushi.
He hadn’t expected the other to stick around for so long.
“Nakajima-san? Were you listening to me?” The gentle voice pulled him from his thoughts,
“Huh? Yes! We can do that!” He held a thumbs up, winking, despite having no idea what the other had said. Shibusawa stared at him, unamused, and Atsushi could feel his face falter.
Shibusawa sighed. “I’ll start over, then..”
