The natural order of things is simple.
One will live, and then they will die. There is no getting around this fact, and Futaba Isshiki knows this well.
After her mothers 'suicide’, Futaba had searched her office. She eventually found her mothers work- the idea that a realm of cognition, a place where human thought takes tangible form exists.
She had also found hastily scribbled notes that had suggested that her mother had been murdered, and that she knew it was going to happen.
Futaba decided to cling on to that hope when she found it, desperate not to succumb to the guilt that others in her family had threw into her hands.
That's what led her to Tokyo-after chasing her mothers work. She had gone into medical and scientific studies as a result, needing something to guise her meticulous research. It turns out, being good at what you do gives you scholarships, as Futaba learned.
She's scheduled to leave for Tokyo in a week, to live with Tae Takemi and start attending Shujin Academy As a first year.
