Chapter 1
"We're done black." Sirius knew what Remus meant, you don't betray the love of your life and expect things to stay the same, he looked over at his younger brother sitting at the Slytherin table, Regulus looked up and patted the seat next to him inviting his brother to sit, and that's what Sirius did he didn't speak he just sat there and ate his lunch his brother took that as a signal of he didn't want to talk about it whatever caused him and Remus to break up it didn't matter to him he now hated the older boy for making his brother cry. "You can spend the night in our dorm tonight, if you want you don't have to go back there." Sirius looked up it was Evan who spoke he nodded at the blonde mouthing a thankyou. After lunch the older black waved goodbye to his brother and friends walking to potions, he sat in the very back then he heard the door open walking past him was his ex boyfriend and their friends including some of the girls he didn't dare look in their direction when Remus noticed this he felt a tug on his heart but ignored it he didn't care about Sirius not when he told Snape his deepest secret. "Okay.. you're in groups you were in last time-" Slughorn began but noticed Sirius sitting on his own he decided not to pry. "Sirius go back with your group or fail this project." Remus had expected him to come over but when he heard the class room door open and Sirius walk out it took all of his strength not to follow him.
"Moony-" James began but stopped as soon as Remus glared at him and just continued with his part of the potion, who cared if Sirius Black failed he's just like the rest of his family.
Time skip to after potions
Remus and his friends headed up to Gryffindor tower before heading down to the Great Hall for some dinner, they stopped in their tracks when they saw Sirius packing his stuff back into his trunk. "Where are you going?" James asked with a hint of concern in his tone, Remus glared at this but he too was curious on where the other boy was going not that he cared or anything just pure curiosity. "Going to be staying in my brother's dorm." Sirius replied abruptly. "This is your dorm though-" Remus began, that seemed to tip Sirius over the edge, he turned around tears threatening to spill out of his eyes "WELL I KNOW I'M NOT WELCOME HERE.. YOU SAID IT YOUR SELF REMUS I'M JUST LIKE THEM." Before Remus could reply Sirius pushed past them ignoring the girls calling his name and headed straight to the Slytherin dorms. "Pureblood" he whispered the password and the portrait opened and closed as he went in.
"Sirius, you'll be having Evan's bed he and Barty sleep together anyways." Regulus could see that his brother had been crying but didn't press on the issue and helped him take his trunk to where he would be staying, after that Regulus, Barty, Evan, Pandora and Sirius headed down to the Great Hall, Sirius stopped in his tracks and saw Grant Chapmen sitting with his friends kissing Remus, Pandora saw this and pulled the boy into a hug and whispered "Whatever happened, you can be hurt and sorry at the same time." Sirius just clinged onto the younger girl crying his eyes out. "Sirius let's sit down you need to eat." Barty said loud enough for Remus to pull away and see Sirius crying once more and walking over to the Slytherin table picking at his food. James noticed this and pulled Remus close so Grant didn't hear what he was about to say "I fully support you mate. but you need to stop.. if you love him stop hurting him just cause he hurt you."
Remus was about to say that Sirius deserved everything he got but then again he stopped. "Talk to him tomorrow." Peter suggested, Remus looked at his friend and nodded, deciding that no matter what he was going to talk to Sirius the next day.
The next day
Remus knew Sirius had a free period first thing, and he knew exactly where Sirius would be much to everyone's surprise Sirius spent his free time in the library, and there the black haired boy was sitting on a table next to the window, but of course his brother was sitting with him glaring at Remus as he came over. "Sirius-" Remus began "He doesn't want to speak to you" Regulus interrupted. Sirius looked up he had bags under his eyes from not getting enough sleep he had so many different smells on him from Barty to his brother. "Please Sirius I need to talk to you." Regulus was about to tell the taller boy to piss off but his brother shook his head grabbing Remus by the hand and walked to a quieter place of the library even though everywhere is a quiet place.
"I know you haven't been sleeping, Sirius." The werewolf began "I want to apologise for what I said about you being like you family" Sirius shook his head stopping the taller boy mid sentence "I deserved that. I betrayed you." Remus felt even guiltier when he heard the boy say he deserved it. "No you didn't Sirius, you didn't deserve me pushing you away when we're your only support network. I am truly sorry, pup." Remus hung his head low, Sirius lifted his head up and spoke "I'm the one who's sorry." Remus took a deep breath before continuing. "I am not saying you're fully forgiven, but I'm done with the cold shoulder treatment. Come back." Sirius nodded, he felt a small bit of relief knowing that he was going to be able to sleep in his own dorm tonight, and with that the two boys left the Library and walked to Defence Against The Dark Arts hand in hand making everyone in their friend group give them confused looks.
