Confession
Lily’s pov
The day Lily Evans met Regulus black it was her third years of Hogwarts, it was a Saturday and everyone had gone to Hogsmeade, lily didn't go because she knew James potter would find a way to make a fool of himself, so she had gone to the library instead, where she found Regulus black alone crying over a letter he was not sobbing, no hysterics, but he was shaking he hands were trembling so bad that he was wrinkling the paper.
Lily slids into the chair next to him, and gives him a tissue from her bag, Regulus jumps a little when he sees her, "thank you" Regulus says as he takes the tissue from her, "your welcome" Lily says trying to sneak a peek at the letter, when Regulus slams his hand on the letter making her jump "Sorry, i didn't mean t-" when Regulus head out his hand in a way to tell her to stop talking "it's my mother, I got an Acceptable, on my paper, my mother didn't like that"
Lily nodded, but not in understanding "why?, An Acceptable is still passing" Regulus looks at her eyes red from crying "my mother wants nothing but Outstandings, Evans" lily huffs "your mother's a bitch" but then remembered who she was talking too and claps a hands over her mouth but what surprised her was that he laughed, laughed so hard that he started crying " you got that right Evans".
As Lily Evans now drags Regulus black to the library, Regulus is almost tripping over his own feet "Red, Wait I'm going to fall" Lily immediately let's go Regulus’s hand "Sorry, but why didn't you tell you have left that wretched house?" Regulus sighs "let's go sit down some" Lily nods, and Regulus leads the ways to the corner of the library, that had a small table that could fit six, if Regulus wanted that many people around him, they both sit Lily in front of Regulus who takes a deep breath be starting "you know how last year Sirius ran away?" Lily nods and Regulus continued "and you asked why I didn't go with him," Lily nods even though it wasn't a question lily remembers that that day vividly,
"I thought tings would get better with Sirius gone, I mean Sirius always lashed out, and I knew that if we both left they would come get Sirius, because they don't want me because I'm a-" lily put a gentle hand over Regulus’s "what happened the night you left Reg?"
Regulus takes a shaky breath "they wanted me to marry Rabastan Lestrange, and take the Dark mark the day of my wedding" lily gasps " that's horrid, he's a old man, reg you're only 16, not even of age" Regulus nods looking down at the table "that's why I left, even though I should've done it sooner, I thought that with Sirius gone, it would be easier, but
They knew how weak i was, and how it didn't want so they needed a way to tie me to them, so I left, and ran to my uncles House Alphard, I was so damn scared ,red I thought they would find my and take me back" lily moves to his side and bring him into a gentle hug " you're safe now, reg don't cry I hate it when you cry"
Regulus rubs the tears away and after a while Regulus composes himself "sorry" lily huffs "don't apologize, it's okay to cry sometimes, so who else knows?" Lily asked as separated themselves from the hug "Lupin" Regulus mutters that lily has has to ask again "who?," Regulus huffs in annoyance "Lupin" Regulus grits out and lily gasps "you told Lupin before you told me!?, the betrayal reg" lily says dramatically throwing a hand to her forehead
" We were prefect partners, he dragged me into a empty compartment, we ran it to Sirius, and it slipped when he apologized for Sirius’s behavior"
Lily could see they redness creep up on Regulus his ears and cheeks were pink and flushed "Oh, Reg your crush on Remus is cute" Regulus scowls lily continues, but Regulus I'm glad you ran, you're free to do whatever you want now, like telling Remus Lupin that you fancy him like crazy" Regulus face goes from pink to red "lily!, someone could hear you" Regulus scowls "he probably doesn't feel the same,"
"Oh Regulus Black, don't give me that you have to at least try it's his last year you won't be able to see him again until you graduate" Regulus eyes widen little "about that, im taking 7th year classes" lily jumps out of her chair "How, I thought you need special permission," Regulus stood up as well "Alphard, talked to professor dumbledore after I ran away, and Dumbledore said that I would have to all my 6th year classes during the summer so I did and I passed, so now I'm taking 7th year classes meaning I'll graduate with you" Lily literally jumps up and down with joy "that's great Regulus!, what classes do you have?".
After lily had found out that she had at least three classes with Regulus, the boy himself had to leave because he had promise that he tell Dorcas, of his escape of that wretched house walburga black likes to call a home, lily understood and decided to go back to her dorm.
Because tomorrow was the start of classes, as he walked down the corridors someone cans her name "Lily!" Lily turns and sees Remus Lupin speed walking to catch up "Remus, you alone?" Lily asked as she continued to walk as soon as Remus catched up "yes, and I needs to talk to you"
Lily nodded in understanding " you're friends with Regulus black right" lily turns in a huff to face Remus "Remus J Lupin, if you some stupid shit about Regulus because he's a slytherin, I'll hex you" Remus quickly put his hands up in defense
"what?, no never, I want to know about Regulus’s schedule" Remus blurts out in a huff, cheeks flushed and lily understood, Reg you'll thank me later lily talk to yourself before answering Remus and why do you want to know?" Lily says smugly crossing her arms and Remus looks like a child being scolded "because I fancy him" Remus mutters "I'm sorry, I can't hear you" lily says with a grin as she put a hand to her ear "because I fancy him!" Remus says face looking like the color of Lily’s hair "My, my Remus, Regulus black, who would have thought" Lily says with a cheeky smile " oh shove off lily, you already knew" Lily pulls of her schedule "I did but I wanted you to say it, now do you want to know Regulus schedule or not?.
