Lay my eyes upon you

Remus’s pov
It had never been this quiet every ever since he met his friends.
James potter who is already bored out of his mind waiting for the missing person in this compartment Sirius Black "where is he!?" James complaints, Remus sighs as he slams his book close a little annoyed because he's still healing from the full moon but of course his friends don't know that "bloody hell James" as he stood and as soon he opens the compartment door and feels a small thud against his body and when he looks down all he sees are a pair of beautiful gray eyes.
"Remus!" He hears the voice of the person he was going to look for ge sees Sirius hair a little shorter than when Remus last saw him "I see you met Regulus my baby brother" Sirius said with a grin, Remus looks back at the little black, shorts curls neatly kept tucked behind his ear that framed beautifully around his face but the one thing that stood out to Remus was the strands of white hair and the whites in his lashes too "hello" the younger black said softly and Remus that his heart skip one too many beats "hello".
after for what felt like hours Sirius and his brother enter the compartment Regulus says hello to everyone but one thing doesn't say right with Remus but didn't say anything but James’s did "mate, I thought you had a sister" Sirius looks at James as if he just insulted his mother which i don't think Sirius would care, but Remus noticed how Regulus stiffened "mate, James did you hit your head on the way here or something, cause I don't know what you're talking" James looked baffled "but you were always talking about Reg, Reg this Reg that" and then the compartment goes quiet "James, this is Reg" James’s mouths hangs open for a while "b-but, I swear to merlin, you were always talking about a sister!?"
Sirius nods his head no "This tells me that none of you listen to me when I talked about my baby brother, bet you are always thinking about Lily Evans!" Sirius said as he was twisting a strand of short "Oh Lily Evans I pledge my love for you" Sirius teased "Sirius you look like an idiot" Regulus said but not looking up from his book, Sirius gasped"Reggie you wound me" and while this was going on Remus had caught himself staring at Regulus once or twice or in Remus’s case twelve times and when they get to Hogsmeade and every but Sirius and Regulus stay behind.
Regulus pov
As Sirius’s friends leave the compartment he and Sirius stay behind "Sirius, what if I get sorted into Slytherin?" Regulus asked his brother, Sirius looks back "Reggie you can just tell the hat that you don't want to be in Slytherin, and say that you want to be with me" Sirius says as he puts both hands on Regulus shoulders, but Regulus doesn't look at Sirius
"but what if i don't want to be in Gryffindor, what if I want to be in Slytherin" Sirius slowly removes his hands from Regulus shoulders "Reg, no one wants to be in Slytherin, just ask the hat to put you in anywhere but Slytherin" Sirius said and with that left the compartment, and Regulus felt his eyes stings he wanted to let them fall but then remembered mothers works "the house of black doesn't do this nonsense weeping Cassiopeia, you will do well to remember that" Regulus bites the inside of his cheek to stop his nonsense crying Regulus brings his hands to his face and wipes his tears and leaves the compartment.
Remus pov
Sirius leaves the train alone and not long after Regulus left the train but he and Sirius did talk Regulus just left with the group of first-year students and Regulus or Sirius looked back "Sirius what's wrong" James asked instantly "Regulus doesn't want to be a Gryffindor" Sirius said looking at the ground "he's probably just the nerves Sirius" Peter said "Now come on before they leave us" Sirius did not look convinced but doesn't say anything all, four leave to the carriages.
When they enter the Great Hall almost everyone has been seated bit the first years they are in line waiting to be sorted it took Remus a while to spot Regulus but found him talking to a blonde and apparently she made him laugh, it's a while before Reg is called to the stool.
"Black, Regulus" My calls out and Regulus looks relieved?
Regulus walks to the stool and the hat is placed upon him and the Great Hall is met with silence and Remus sees Sirius who is sitting next to him gained hope,
7 minutes pass when the hat finally yells out "Slytherin!" Remus hears a choked sound come from Sirius and Remus know Sirius will be crying in James’s bed tonight, he watches as Regulus makes his way to the Slytherin table he sits next to Dorcas Meadows and Remus can tell that instantly the two click they began to chat away.
And when they we feast ends and every one leave going up to their dorms, Sirius Black hides in his bed curtains closed and no one says anything, not even Peter who always says things with bad timing
Not even James who is always there to comfort Sirius and it's maybe because none of us understands having a sibling's, so the group let's it slide and eventually they tuck themselves away in bed.
And when Remus closes his eyes he sees a certain pair of gray eyes.
