Chapter 2
First Year
"My my, it seems I've sorted you before, let's take a look" the hat says.
Frowning I cut my eyes up to it "What do you mean?"
"Now" it says.
"I don't understand" I mutter.
"No matter, Now let's see loyalty any Hufflepuff would be proud of, a thirst for knowledge that Rowena herself would admire, courage to fight and protect, but your ambition has such potential, what to do with you" it says making me look at each table.
"Better be SLYTHERIN" it finally says.
Walking to the table I sit down by Sev glancing around, I tense seeing the older students start moving around before a blonde female sits by me while a blonde male sits by Sev.
"Relax" the girl says while making a plate.
"Slytherin house has rules, one is fifth years each pick one or two students to mentor, seeing as you're half bloods Lucius and I will be both of your mentors, if you need anything let us know" she adds after swallowing a bite.
Narrowing my eyes at her I frown getting a flash of Sev in a ball crying with these two sat by him in silence, till Lucius stands pulling him up "stand up, keep your head held high and get your mask in place" he says placing a hand on his shoulder.
Shaking my head I sigh nodding "arms off the table".
Frowning I look at the girl before seeing her lift her hands slightly "like this" she says.
Watching her hands I copy her as best as possible seeing her nod "a lady must have proper manners".
"Not a bloody lady" I mutter seeing a slight twitch of her mouth in a smile.
"My sister would like your attitude, but a lady can be proper without being pushed around"
Curling my nose I look at Sev seeing him watching Lucius with a confused look "I'm Narcissa Black" the girl says catching my attention again.
Nodding I look down seeing food in front of me that I didn't make, looking back at her I frown "Severina" I mutter before trying to eat only to be corrected about table manners.
Once finished she motions for me to get up as Lucius does the same leading us from the Great Hall to the dungeon.
"Now most houses have 3 or 4 students to a room, Slytherin has 2, most people will choose to stay with who they're first placed with, you're roomed with Alecto while your brother's with Amycus, they're twins as well, we thought it might be easier for you both since they'd understand the bond between twins" she says while leading me to a room.
Walking in I see a girl with brown hair that has a red tint to it with sparkling green eyes sat on the bed reading "unpack and try to get a good nights rest" Narcissa says before leaving the room.
Laying down I sigh taking a moment to relax, being away from my parents without having to fear when he'd come home, it's all a lot to take in.
Next day
Getting up I pull my robes on before grabbing my first few classes books, walking for the door I hiss tripping over my shoe that's sole hangs half off.
Feeling someone catch me pinning my books between us I step back tensing up seeing Alecto smirking at me "should get more shoes" she says calmly.
Frowning I walk past her clenching my teeth together, seeing Sev waiting I join him seeing he looks aggravated "what happened?" I ask.
"My robes ripped" he grunts "Lucius fixed them then taught me a spell for it".
"Wonderful, will it work on shoes?" I snark.
He shrugs "we can try" he offers.
Nodding I pull them off letting him try it on one, after a few tires he gets it and I try on the second shoe.
Pulling them back on I sigh looking at Sev "let's get to breakfast, might as well enjoy it while we can" I mutter.
