The Explanation.
We all kept a weary eye on the people of the past, making sure they didn't make a sudden move. Although we knew they woudlnt...at least from the stories we've been told of them. Still, I'd rather be safe then sorry. Even with saying that Teddy would hold me and James back when the black haired man steps forward to ask, Albus, a question.
"Well, to start off, who are you? And I mean -ALL- of you." The man spoke, settling his wand at his side, in what I can only assume is an attempt to make us feel safer, yet never actually setting it down. His question had Albus glance back at us. -Me, Teddy, James- The look of worry he wore, non verbally, asking if it was even safe to say who we really are. I gave him a nod in reply, knowing there was no better option if we wanted to get home.
"Do you want me to introduce everyone?" Albus spoke as he turned back to the group of the past, - or maybe present, since this is their time.- The group would nod in response, to Albus, the woman saying "Go ahead." And that was all Albus needed to hear, before sucking in a deep breath and, getting ready to speak.
"Listen, what I'm about to say might sound crazy...but-" Albus started, however he got cut off by his look alike.
"Just get on with it, don't sidetrack."
Albus made a slightly annoyed face before mumbling an "Alright," at the interruption.
"My name is Albus, Albus Potter. The three with me are my close family, and or friends. The brown hair is James Potter, the blue hair is Teddy Lupin, and the blonde is Scorpius Malfoy.-" I watched as he stood up tall and introduced us, pointing to us when needed.We all nodded, or waved, when our names were said. And before somebody could interrupt Al, he continued. "-There was an accident with a Time Turner, nobodies fault,-" James let out a small huff. "-So we were sent to the past...what we believe to be 44 years." Albus finished his small rant with a fake smile.
In the end, adding on, "So my apologies for startling you all, we kinda just appeared here. And we were hoping..you could help us get back? -to 2024-" before he stepped back, to be closer to our group.
I stepped up to be next to him, before James and Teddy could join us the ginger came closer. We expected her to bombard us with questions, but she simply set her wand on the ground with ours. She motioned for the group of boys behind her to do it as well. The dark brown haired one listened, setting his wand down and stepping back away from us, yet the scared up one and the black haired didn't.
"That's a hard story to believe...you understand that right?" She spoke up, staring at us.
"Yes, that's why Albus tried to say it was crazy." Teddy nodded at her, speaking for us as a group since he's the oldest. "And that's why...agaisnt my best judgement...he offered to take Veritaserum if need be."
The girl smiled. "Well, I don't know about these three but..I trust you. That'd be a heard thing to fake and- your names. I don't think you'd name a Malfoy if you wanted us to trust you. Well, -if you were faking it.-" she explained. I looked at the ground with slight embarrasment and some guilt, Al put his hand on my back to comfort me. He ran circles across it until I stood back up. Which only happened when the light haired boy stepped forward.
He gave us a look before he and the girl spoke in whispers, until he set his wand down on the ground with the now growing pile. "You said...2024, correct?" he asked, seemingly just confirming what Albus had explained. James nodded in reassurance at him.
"Yeah- okay...Sirus- put your wands down."
The dark haired boy from the group groaned and set his wand down. Making me perk up, "So, you trust us?" My question got nods of agreement among the group, although one boy didn't budge.
"Yes, and we'll help you get back...if we can find a way. And, to make things easier, I'll introduce ourselves. I am Remus Lupin." The man, now knowing he truly is Teddy's father not just a look alike, gave us a smile. I looked over at Teddy only to see James giving him a comforting side hug. "This lady is Lily, the long hair is Sirius, and the other is James." Just like us they waved, or nodded, as their names were called. Just like us.
