What Happend ?
"Albus!" I yelled as I saw the sand start to turn, getting higher and higher as it surrounded us. Though the boy I called out for was still in shock, all he could do was reach for my hand. Holding onto each other in a tight grasp. Scared out of our minds...though it seemed I was the only one out of us two that heard the pairs of footsteps enter the room in the midst of panic. The only one of our duo who heard them yell with us, and notice they were sucked into the whirlpool of sand with them. Closing my eyes as I tightened my grip on Albus, he tightened his back, holding onto each other for dear life as we let the sand take us. Knowing that protest wouldn't do anything. The noises of storms filled our ears, until we we're hit with silence...and pitch black.
It wasn't until I felt someone shaking me, rough hands covered in rings, and a familiar voice whisper yelling my name, could I open my eyes. Blinding light hitting me as I squint..trying to recognize my surroundings. That is, until I remember what had happened to bring me here.
Shooting up in my spot from the floor, I groan in pain, my head throbbing and my arm appeared to be bleeding from a scratch. A scratch I can only assume is from the table edge I appear to be next too. My eyes darting around, worry for where the others were filled my head, until I saw who shook me awake.
Teddy, Teddy Lupin, who had James standing next to him in a stance similar to what some wizards do before fights, and right next to James...although almost out of sight...I could see Albus. Both boys held their wands out, and it wasn't until Teddy mumbled a spell to help, my now settling, headache could I finally notice we weren't the only ones in the room. A group of people...probably about 18 or 19, some maybe older. Multiple looking like people we all knew, either from photographs or meets. Three in specific were very noticeable. One, a boy who looked like an exact copy of Teddy..if Teddy had natural hair, two was a boy who was an actual carbon copy of Albus, as well as very similar to James. And the third, well she looked like Albus's grandmother in pictures he's shown me, and a bit like Albus and James's sister..Lily. However I couldn't dwell on my thoughts much as I started to hear yelling, realizing the people we didn't know were also holding wands.
I stood up with Teddy's help and immediately went to Albus's side. Going to grab my wand from my sleeve before- wait..."Where is it?" I whispered. Confusion filled me and I looked at Albus frantic, the look he gave back seemed to say he knew what happened,if the head nod he gave to Teddy wasn't enough to judge by. I glance back and register what he meant. So I stepped back behind him, closer to Teddy who had his wand held in a fist.
"Who are you, people?"
The words made me perk up, seeing the carbon copy of Albus speak. "I said, who are you?" he repeated.
"Tell us where we are, or better yet..what year is it?" Teddy replied. Pushing both the Potter boys closer to me as he walks to the front line, just like usual with the protectiveness he always shows.
"Its 1980." The ginger girl replied to Teddy's question before Albus's carbon copy could ask who we were again. And it was in that moment, the four of us turned to each other. A look of realization dawning on our faces and an unspoken "Oh Shit," coming to our minds. We're in the past. Almost, or exactly, 44 years in the past.
"...What did you two do-!?" James started to yell, clear panic going across him, before Teddy grabbed his arm. "James. Its alright," he'd whisper as he looked at James. Me and Albus watched before Albus pulled me closer to him. I watched him finally set his wand down, sliding his onto the floor before taking James and Teddy's as well and setting them down, although with protest from the two older.
"I can explain everything. Just set your wands down, like we did. I'll even take Veritaserum, if you need me too." Albus spoke with sinful confidence.
Teddy looked at him with a face of "What are you doing?," yet Albus simply stood in front of me and gestured for the people to let him speak since they were talking over each other.
"Alright. We'll let you speak, but if we even have a slight hint you're lying then we WILL get Veritaserum." The man who looked like Teddy with brown hair spoke, seemingly the leader and confidence of the group.
We looked around at each other before James pulled Albus and I to him. "What are you thinking, Al?" He whisper yelled at us, although more directed towards Albus.
"Thinking of how to get us home. We need their help...it's either them or we get sent to what, the death eaters?" Albus spat back, getting defensive.
"Stop it you two!" Teddy replied well grabbing one of each boys arms. "Listen, just don't lie and if they still give you the potion then only drink a tiny bit. Alright?" Teddy turned his eyes to Albus with a worried look. Albus gave a nod of agreement before Teddy gave his and James arm a squeeze of reassurance. "Be careful." He whispered before tugging me and James to him. Letting Albus step up to be slightly in front of us, still within arms reach if need be.
"What do you want to know?" Albus started as he stood tall and waited for the past group to speak.
