He knows how to shut down his emotions with ease, he knows more about magic than the rest of his year combined, and he has seen things that the other kids could only dream of. This sometimes makes it harder to form connections with his friends, but he tries. However, late one night, with an escaped convict in the castle, one of his worst fears comes true, when he cries in front of not just anybody, but Harry Potter. Draco is determined to ignore what happened, while Harry attempts to uncover his secrets.Drarry enemies to lovers. Not really a slow burn, but kind of. Starts during the summer between second and third year, but some things are different. Ginny Weasley is a Slytherin, and also friends with Draco's friend group. Things get interesting very fast. I really suck at summaries so sorry lol. Try to update at least once a month. Mostly Draco POV, but there is some Harry POV in there.Any constructive criticism is welcome, just don't be rude about it!P.S. frick jk rowling

Hi! So, I don't usually post life update chapters, but this isn't really a life update and is more of an update on this fic.

So, I've been working on this fic for a few months now, almost half a year, and I am so happy that you all have stuck with me for this journey. This fic is NOT ABANDONED. It will be continued. However, I have recently been stuck on some plot issues and writers block for over a month now and have made the hard decision to put it on a temporary hiatus and rewrite. I have also had some life events that have prevented me from writing, but those are all worked out now. This time around, I will plan it out more and have a good outline before I start writing. Mostly my style has been to write and post whatever comes to mind, and while I love how it's gone so far, I cannot continue until I make some major plot readjustments. I have already started on the rewriting, and since it's already written, editing probably won't take very long. My current time estimate is about two months, but sometimes I can get on major writing sprees and it could be done in two weeks. Who knows, right? Once the necessary editing is done, I will most likely start posting it as a new fic under the same name, as opposed to just replacing the current chapters here. I will post another update here once reuploading starts and will provide a link to the updated fic. I'll probably leave it up for a week or two before completely deleting this work, unless you guys really want it left up.

Again, I want to thank all of you for being here for this fic every step of the way, and I hope you come back to it once I have rewritten it and worked out the problems! Your comments and kudos are what keep me posting. I will still be responding to comments on here until it is deleted, and feel free to leave any advice you may have. I am so glad you have chosen to read my fics, and there are other works that are getting updates under this account (I am rewriting another one of my old fics, but this one takes top priority!).
