Chapter 14
Luna hummed softly as she headed down the hallway towards the entrance to Ravenclaw tower. She knew Harrison had already saved Colin, but it would still be safer inside.
The eagle on the door was just about to give her a riddle when she heard a jovial voice behind her.
"Miss Lovegood! Why aren't you wearing shoes?"
Luna blinked and looked down at her socks. "I couldn't find them, Professor," she replied softly.
Lockhart tisked and shook his head. "There's no need to lie, Miss Lovegood. Who would steal shoes? I think you need a detention."
The color drained from Luna's face.
Severus and Harrison were headed back from the hospital wing when someone exclaimed, "Potter-Black!"
A portrait to their left, which usually just contained a man with his child, now had someone else. "Lockhart has Luna Lovegood," the woman panted, leaning against the side of the frame.
Harrison suddenly looked incredibly calm. "Harley," he said quietly, and Severus could feel the magic in the boy's voice.
The red-haired menace suddenly appeared beside them. "Yes?" he chirped.
His brother's response was spoken in Parseltongue. Harley's expression turned wild with insane delight.
"I don't want to know," Severus decided, earning cackles from Harley and an eye-roll from Harrison.
When Luna next came to, she was in the hospital wing. Harrison Potter-Black was sitting beside her, reading a book.
"Hello, Master," Luna said sleepily. Harrison blinked at her in slight surprise. "You have blood on your shirt."
Harrison glanced down, frowned at the tiny speck of blood, and flicked his wrist in irritation. The spot disappeared. "Are you a seer, Miss Lovegood?"
"Luna. A Truth Seer, but close enough, my Lord," Luna replied serenely. She sat up and paused. "Did you Obliviate me?"
The budding Dark Lord studied her. Then he said, "How did you know?"
"I have an eidetic memory. There's a spot missing in my mind."
Harrison's expression darkened briefly before his face went blank again. "It's better you don't remember."
"I know, Master," Luna agreed. "You wouldn't have Obliviated me otherwise."
"Harrison," the boy returned.
Luna smiled. She tilted her head. "Is Lockhart dead?"
"Very," Harrison responded, eyes flashing.
"Good," Luna hummed. "The Nargles didn't like him very much."
Confusion swept briefly over the boy's face, but he ignored that statement. Then he said, "I have a question."
"Yes?"
"Where are your shoes?"
"I couldn't find them," Luna replied. "A lot of my things have gone missing lately. I did ward my things against Nargles, but I didn't ward them against very book-smart Ravenclaws."
Harrison stiffened and closed his eyes. "I'll have Harley... talk to them."
"You don't have to-"
"I want to."
Luna blinked slowly at him, feeling warm inside. "Thank you," she said finally.
Harrison nodded. "I'll introduce you to my friends tomorrow, when you've been discharged."
"Okay," she agreed. The next second, Harrison had disappeared, leaving behind and empty chair.
Madam Pomfrey bustled in, then looked confused. "I thought I heard... nevermind. Are you alright, dear?"
Luna nodded dazedly. "Hello, Madam Pomfrey. I think I might have fallen asleep in the hospital wing by mistake. I don't remember sleep-walking here."
The woman stared at her, looking partly relieved and partly alarmed. "You didn't sleep-walk here, Miss Lovegood," she said finally. "It seems you've blocked out what happened."
"I feel fine," Luna said in a puzzled tone.
"That's... good. I'll have a house-elf bring you some breakfast."
Harrison's friends and brother had gathered in the usual abandoned classroom. Luna was sitting beside Hermione, reading a book upside-down.
"Before we begin," Harrison said calmly, "we have a new addition."
Luna set down her book. "Hello," she said dreamily.
"Hi!" Harley chirped. The Weasley twins and Ron snorted.
"Luna, is there something you want to say before the meeting?" Harrison asked.
The girl nodded. "I know a place more secure to meet than a classroom, even with your Secrecy Wards."
Hermione started. "What are you talking about?"
"The Room of Requirement," Luna said pleasantly. "And because Harrison and Harley are Heirs to Hogwarts, the castle will give them access to rooms she doesn't give access to anyone else."
"She?" Ron frowned.
Luna tilted her head at Ron. "Didn't you know? Hogwarts is a woman."
"Where is the Room of Requirement?" Harrison asked before Ron could say anything else.
"I'll show you."
Rowena Ravenclaw straightened up in her portrait. Godric and Helga turned to her, looking excited. "Our Heirs are coming," she said. "Hogwarts will soon be free."
