The Last Will and Testament
“The Last Will and Testament of James Fleamont and Lily Ann Evans Potter. We leave everything to our son, Harrison James, except the following:
“To Sirius, we leave you the Potter Villa in France. Take Moony on that honeymoon you always wanted to, and now you can return anytime you wish.
“To Remus, we leave you Skye Cove. It’s warded to hell and back, perfect for your furry little problem.
“To Minerva, James’ Transfiguration journals. There are some interesting experiments in them, if you wish to take a peek, or maybe help Harry with them when he is older.
“To Severus, Lily’s potions' journals. They have all of my potion's ideas going back to school days. I made some progress on some of our experiments. Also, the letter addressed to him in Harry’s Trust Vault.
“To Albus, nothing. Albus was the binder in our Fidelius. He should also never have anything to do with where Harry is to be placed.
“To Peter, also nothing. Peter was our secret keeper; if we are dead, he had to disclose our location.
“In regards to Harry’s placement; he is to be placed with Sirius and Remus first, we know Remus can’t hold custody by himself if something happens to Sirius. Ridiculous werewolf laws.
“If Sirius is unable, Harry is next to be placed with Frank and Alice Longbottom. Alice being his only godmother, and hopefully Neville and Harry can be like brothers.
“If Alice is unable, Harry is next to be placed with Minerva McGonagall. Minnie, we understand if you don’t want to take him because of school, but you were like a second mother to the both of us, and we would trust you to raise him right.
“If Minerva is unable or does not want to, Harry is to be placed with Severus Snape. Sev, I know what you did, both times, and I thank you. I know you think you don’t deserve it after everything, but it isn’t your fault. You gave us a chance, but we put our faith in the wrong people. First Albus, and then Peter. Protect my son, that is my last wish.
“If, and only if, every one of the above people are dead or otherwise physically unable to care for my son, should he be placed in the care of my sister, Petunia Dursley, with the following conditions:
“1) suitable living conditions, 2) monthly Ministry check-ins, 3) biweekly medical checkups at St. Mungos with his healer, 4) Remus, should he be alive, is allowed to visit whenever he wants to; we all know the Ministry would never allow him soul custody. Sorry, Remus. 5) Once he starts Hogwarts, all holidays, except summer, he is to spend with Remus, unless of course it is a full moon, and then he will stay at school, and 6) My son should never have to be hidden from magic, he needs it to get around and survive.
“This concludes the Last Will and Testament of James Fleamont and Lily Ann Evans Potter.”
Ragnar rolled the scroll back up, and everyone was just staring in silent shock. “Sirius is in Azkaban for something he didn’t do. Peter played him. Peter is alive if that is that is the case.” Remus stated, and everyone turned towards him. “Peter is a rat. A literal rat. He cut off his finger, cast the spell, and turned into his rat form. Gods, we need to get Sirius out of Azkaban.” Remus picked up Harry and hugged him, and Severus saw him take a deep breath, probably inhaling Harry’s scent to calm himself down.
“Moo’y.” Harry muttered as he petted Remus’ hair.
“I will contact the DLME, Remus, and see if we can get him out.” Minerva stated, before she turned towards Ragnar. “I will leave James’ Transfigurations journals for when Harry is older.” Minerva stated before standing. “I will leave the raising of the babe to my youngers.” Minerva smirked as she started walking out of the room; she brushed her fingers through Harry’s hair before leaving.
“Bye, Mi.” Harry shouted.
“Well, that leaves you, Severus, as I can’t raise him by myself.” Remus stated with a sad smile.
“We can do it together for now. I am teaching, so I can’t keep him in my quarters at Hogwarts. So, you can ‘babysit’ him for me during the week, and once Black is free, the both of you will have custody.” Severus stated, and Remus looked up at him.
“Really, you would let me do that?” Remus asked, and Severus sighed, but nodded.
“Yes, I would not have offered otherwise.” Severus drawled.
Remus turned towards Ragnar and asked, “I assume there should be paperwork that we need to sign.”
“Yes, Mr. Lupin.” Ragnar said as he pulled out some parchment. “Master Prince, these two are for you to look over. The first is for Lily’s Potions journals, and the other is for custody of Harry. Any changes in custody will have to be written up here with all parties present.” Ragnar stated, and Severus pulled both forwards. He signed for the potion's journals, and he browsed through the contract for Harry and looked up at Ragnar.
“So, this is just for the primary custody of Harry; this doesn’t include what Remus and I just talked about.” Severus questioned.
“Like I said, custody must first be claimed, then you and Mr. Lupin can come up with an additional agreement, as Mr. Lupin can’t have primary custody.”
“Okay, sorry. I misunderstood.” Severus stated and then signed for custody of Harry. “So, now Lupin and I can write up an agreement, so he doesn’t get into trouble for having Harry.”
“Yes, that is correct. Mr. Lupin shall care for the young Lord Potter during the week, unless it is the day before, day of, or the day after a full moon. The Wizengamot recently restricted werewolf rights again.” Ragnar stated.
“Is anyone using Harry’s seats right now?” Remus asked, and Ragnar smiled.
“Why yes. Dumbledore is illegally using the seats.”
“Severus, do you have any seats?”
“Yes, Albus has forced proxy, because of my employment contract. He believes I won’t use the seats correctly.” Severus stated as he rolled his eyes.
“Do you know that is technically illegal?” Remus stated.
“Well, I guess we will add it to the list.” Severus stated, and Harry held his hands out to him with grabby hands. Severus leaned over and plucked Harry out of Remus’ lap.
“Now, Mr. Lupin, I need you to sign this form to transfer the property left to you into your name.” Ragnar stated, and Remus took the parchment and signed it and handed it back to Ragnar.
“This is the portkey for the property, activated by saying ‘Skye Cove’.” Ragnar stated, and Remus took the pen shaped portkey and placed it in his pocket. “This is the custody agreement for young Lord Potter, giving Mr. Lupin permissions to have Harry during the week except on the dates around the full moon. Look it over, make any adjustments, sign, and all will be well.”
“Can we add Halloween to the list of day’s that I can have him? I don’t know how long it will take to free Sirius, but with the feast at school, and I would rather not be alone on Halloween.” Remus stated, and Severus nodded.
“Yes, that’s alright, obviously as long as it doesn’t fall under the full moon dates.”
“Obviously.” Remus rolled his eyes, and Ragnar made the adjustments and handed the parchment to Remus, who looked it over before signing it and handing it over to Severus, who did the same, and he handed it back to Ragnar, who signed it before it disappeared.
“Anything else before I take the young Lord Potter to his cleansing.”
“His seats should automatically transfer to me, correct? Not to Albus, who holds proxy over my seats?” Severus asked.
“Since Albus illegally holds your seats, they will go to you. You can also request a recall vote for all events that used those seats illegally and go over the votes that your seats cast against and change them according to how you would vote. You can do this with your own seats as well.”
“Do you know how I would go about doing that?” Severus asked.
“No, I, unfortunately, do not know the innerworkings of the Wizengamot.”
“I will have to talk to Lucius then, which I was avoiding.” Severus sighed, and Harry clapped his hands.
“Dayco.” Harry giggled, and both Severus and Remus looked at him in confusion.
“How does he know Lucius and Narcissa’s son’s name?” Severus asked.
“I was going to ask you who he was talking about, so I have no idea.” Remus stated.
“Wait, didn’t his test say something about a Seer Ability?” Severus questioned.
“That is correct. Shall I take him back for his cleansing?” Ragnar asked, and Severus handed Harry over. “This should take a few hours, if you would like to go talk to Lord Malfoy. Mr. Lupin can stay and let you know when everything is done.”
“Yes, thank you.” Severus stated as he stood, and he handed Harry’s bag off to Remus. “I need to stop and talk to Minerva first, but meet me in her office when you are done here. I will let her know to expect you to let you in.” Severus stated.
“Sounds like a plan. And thank you for this, Severus.”
“It isn’t a problem, besides this saves me the trouble of trying to find someone to babysit anyway. This way I know it will be someone trustworthy.” Severus stated.
“None the less, given our past, I appreciate it even more.” Remus stated.
“Which Black will have to grovel to get his godson back. Just to let you know.”
“Which is completely understandable.” Remus chuckled.
“I am off then.”
