Prologue
Ragnar and Aslaugs sons were all laying down on the beach all shocked that their father has finally returned. None of them knew how to feel they loved their father but he had also abandoned them for over 10 years and come back talking about going to England so he clearly had no intention of staying. "I'm hungry" Hvitserk broke the silence making his brothers laugh lightly he was always hungry or thinking about food. "We should head back" Ubbe groaned he didnt want to he was content on the beach with his brothers who for a rare moment weren't fighting, he sat up. A thrall came running to the beach which made them all get up in alarm, "you have to come quickly!" she exclaimed before running back to the hall. They looked at each other unsure of what to expect, they made their way down to the hall Ubbe carrying Ivar so that they could get there quicker.
In the hall was the seer who was standing at the front surrounded by their father, mother and surprisingly Bjorn. "What's going on?" Sigurd asked looking at the seer, whatever it was it must've been important as he left his cave. "The Gods have spoken to me and is showing the life of a Ragnarssons child" he spoke clearly this was the first that anyone else had heard of this as Ragnar snapped his head towards the seer in surprise, "which son? and why?" he asked.
He and his sons sat on a table in front of him looking between each other wondering whose child was so important that the Gods have interferred, the seer smiled and turned to Ivar, "Ivars daughter" he revealed. Ivar was shocked after his failed attempt with Margrethe he didn't think he was capable, he wasn't the only one as his family stared at him his mother and father smiling while his brothers were shocked. "As for why, she is the only child he will have and she lives over a thousand years in the future" he finished.
Ragnar and Bjorn looked like Yule had come early at the idea of seeing so far into the future, "seems like you only have a daughter brother no sons for you" Sigurd gloated. "I do not care i didn't think i could have children so i am more than happy with a daughter, i don't see the Gods showing you your children so they must not be important" Ivar smirked back. Sigurd was not done yet, "have you even thought about the fact that she may also be a cripple" judging by Ivars face he hadn't thought about that. He looked at the seer in panic not wanting his daughter to have to suffer the way he does, "she is perfectly healthy" he let out a sigh of relief as did his mother.
"What's so special about Ivars spawn" Sigurd asked his voice showing how annoyed he was, "you'll find out" the seer gestured behind him and a cloud of mist appeared before clearing and showing a boy around 9-10 years of age with green eyes, black hair and a scar shaped like a lightning bolt. "i thought it was about my daughter" Ivar snapped wanting to know what she looks like. "it is but this boy plays a big part in her story".
