Conflict of the houses
1st September, 2022
After the feast, we started for our common room.
But by the staircases, two Hufflepuff first year girls, who seemed to be running around playfully, bumped into me. I wasn't paying much attention either, so, it could be said that I bumped into one of them.
But, will I accept my fault? No.
"Sorry!" One of them grinned up at me for a mere second and then was about to run away. But I caught the grip of the back of the collar of her robes.
I dragged her, to stand infront of me as if she was just a sack and threw her to the ground.
Her friend stopped her track too, in fear. While, Caspian seemed to be enjoying this.
"Ouch!" The little brunette fell with a thud.
"Bumping into me? And all you had to say was a 'sorry' that you didn't even mean?" I glared at the girl. "Bow down to me." I ordered. "Your head must be coming in contact with the floor below."
The girl seemed to realise her mistake. She knew who the superior one was. She didn't answer back. But didn't move a muscle either.
"Go on, little butterfly, do it. You don't want to get on Y/n's bad side." Caspian said through a laugh of merry.
Many other students had stopped their journey to their common room, to watch this marvellous show.
"But, she apologized!" The brunette's friend suddenly spoke up. Much courage!
"Standing up for a friend, are we?" Ivy stepped up. She went to the other girl and made her wand dance over the little one's head. "Don't do it again."
"S-she apologised already!" But the girl protested again. "I already had relied a chance over you filths." Ivy sighed, frowning.
"Incarcerous."
Ivy tied the brunette's friend. And bowed her head to me with a smirk, signalling me to continue. I nodded, satisfied.
"What? Are you waiting for an invitation card to do it?" I spat at the brunette. She flinched. She seemed to get the idea.
As she was about to do what needed to be done.
"Let her go, Y/n." A calm male voice called through the crowd of students, from towards the end. The crowd parted itself, revealing a Ravenclaw 6th year wizard.
He had dark shiny hair, a pale face, noticable big eyes a fairly high nose and what seemed to distinguish him the most, he had fangs.
"It's none of your business, Taehyun. Get lost." I turned my attention back to the Brunette who was still pasted to the floor.
"But she apologized, didn't she?" Another 6th year wizard, this time, a Gryffindor emerged from the crowd, helping the Brunette to climb up back to her feet.
This one had dark hair as well. He had a high nose and a small face with small brown eyes. He had double eyelids.
"Can't you Half-bloods keep to yourself? Always getting into the business of the pure-bloods?" Ivy spatted.
"Yeonjun!" Caspian seemed to spot a familiar face from the crowd. Caspian went up to a 6th year Slytherin wizard and wrapped an arm around his shoulder and brought Yeonjun up, into the scene. "Don't you see what your little friends are doing? They're fighting us. They're even taking away our prey." Caspian flashed fake concern.
Yeonjun had cat-like eyes with monolids, his full lips resembled a triangle. He had a lot of piercings and resembled a desert fox.
"Just let that kid go. She apologized, didn't she?" Yeonjun spoke up.
The audacity-
"You're getting infiltrated, staying with these people." I glared at Beomgyu and Taehyun. "Using your power on the weak isn't wise." Taehyun stated.
"I don't wish to be wise." I declared. "Fight your equal, coward." Beomgyu called out, chasing away the two little Hufflepuffs that were taken away by the two remaining members of their little friend group.
Choi Soobin, a Hufflepuff 6th year wizard with big brown eyes and dark hair, along with dimples.
And Kai Kamal Huening, another 6th year Hufflepuff with a strong jawline and a higher nose. His looks are really American.
Caspian leapt towards Beomgyu after he made that statement. "Watch your mouth, Half-blood." Caspian pressed his wand against Beomgyu's throat.
"Or what? I just spoke the truth, didn't I? You people bully the younger students because you're too weak to fight any of us." Beomgyu's eyes travelled through the three of us.
"Beomgyu, that's enough." Yeonjun warned.
"We don't need to start any fight." Taehyun said.
"Yes, Beomgyu, that's enough, listen to your friend." Caspian chuckled, insanely. "I see you lot being affected that I called you what you are. You're nothing but wimps-"
'Densaugeo'
Ivy made Beomgyu's teeth grow out of control. Caspian let Beomgyu go and left him to suffer, while watching Beomgyu curiously, with a grin.
'Exepelliarmus!'
Taehyun made Ivy lose her wand. "Weren't you avoiding a fight?" I turned my focus to Taehyun.
'Flipendo!'
I made Taehyun fly backwards.
'Stupefy!'
Beomgyu tried to stun me. But because of his overgrown teeth, he couldn't speak it out well. It made me burst into a laugh. But Taehyun shot another spell at me, that missed me by a hair.
"Oh, this is going to be fun!"
It was indeed. It wasn't just our little argument anymore. Slowly, all the houses had jumped in into the fight. The Slytherins were on our side with the other insignificant houses tried to fight us.
Students were duelling one another and the staircase area filled with different shades of colours of spells that emerged from the wands of copious students.
Some got hexed. Some landed on the ground. While most were duelling one another quite bravely.
Until....
"STOP IT!! NOW!!"
And everything froze at once. No, no one had casted any stunning spell on any of us. But it was fear, the fear of the headmistress. People had stopped in different and rather funny positions.
Everyone fixed their posture and stood straight at their positions, avoiding McGonagall's eyes.
"Who started this?" McGonagall surveyed the crowd consisting of mostly the 6th and 7th year students who now stood with ridiculous states. Some had overgrown teeth, some had boils, some were mildly wounded.
No one uttered a single word.
"For Merlin's sake, your term hasn't even started yet and you're starting this war?" McGonagall seemed disappointed. "Tell me, who started this?"
There was complete silence again.....until.
"It was her! She cursed Beomgyu first!" That Brunette from Hufflepuff dared to speak again with that shrill and annoying voice of hers. She pointed her finger at Ivy, whose eyes looked like she'd kill her with her eyes if she could.
McGonagall turned to Ivy. "Is it true, Miss Lierre?"
Ivy shot her eyes at Beomgyu. "That arsehole-" "LANGUAGE, Miss Lierre!" McGonagall warned. Ivy rolled her eyes, sassily. "Beomgyu called us a coward!"
"He didn't attack you, did he?" McGonagall knew that Beomgyu didn't attack. "No." Ivy stated. "If he's calling you names, call him names too. There's no need to start a war." McGonagall said.
"30 points from Slytherin. And you have 2 detentions with me this Thursday and Friday after your classes." McGonagall announced. "I'd have deducted even more points. But since it looks like all the houses were involved, I won't do it. But since it was Miss Lierre who started it."
That was just her excuse to save her house points. She's the head of the house of Gryffindor, after all.
"I initially started it." I couldn't just push Ivy into a mess I had created. "Miss Avery?" McGonagall raised a brow. "I was messing up with that little Muppet. Then Beomgyu showed up and yeah..." I said.
"The same detention for you too." McGonagall announced after a second of thought.
"Now, go to your respective common rooms and I better not witness another such fight again." McGonagall gave a last warning and strode away while complaining about how the term hasn't even started yet and there's already a house war. What'll happen during the term?
Oh you'll see, Professor.
"Don't tell me you did that for Ivy?" Caspian said we started for our common room, towards the dungeons.
Caspian was signalling about how I told McGonagall that I started the whole conflict.
I scoffed, sarcastically. "You think I'd do that?" Caspian smirked. Ivy wrapped her arm around my shoulder as we skipped to the common room.
I did that for her.
