Middle of the Night
4th September, 2022
I lie in my bed, sleepless. The term starts from tomorrow. We've spent these days with utmost freedom. We'll be stuck again with schoolwork starting from the very next day.
I hate it.
I hope dawn doesn't even arise.
I glance at the clock that was in the room. It was past midnight. The light snores of Thea and Zoe, my dorm-mates could be heard.
We're not technically allowed to exit the common room before 6 in the morning. But apparently, who cares? I'm getting married to a guy who loves someone else in 2 years, what could be worse?
I jumped out of my bed and exited the dorm, making sure I don't wake anyone up.
It's not any care for those wanker Half-bloods, scared that they'd wake up.
I just don't want to encounter any questions from Ivy, who's also my dorm-mate and is probably sleeping.
I climbed out of the common room. I just have to avoid Filch and Mrs. Norris. Not a difficult task. I've been doing that for quite some time now.
Hmm... Let's see where I should go. I haven't visited the astronomy tower. Let's rely a favour onto it by gifting my presence.
On my way to the astronomy tower, I noticed that the hallways were completely deserted. I couldn't help but be satisfied with the absence of those filthy mudbloods roaming around. Hogwarts would've been a much better place to attain education without them.
I don't get it.
Why are they even given a chance to learn magic? I personally believe that the honour to learn and use magic should be relied only to the pure-bloods.
Even the half-bloods shouldn't be provided the opportunity.
But those hideous mudbloods. They make my blood boil for unknown reasons.
I realised I've reached the Astronomy tower while being lost in the thoughts of becoming the Headmistress of Hogwarts someday and chasing away all the mudbloods.
I was about to get through the door when I heard muffled noises, as if someone was talking. I thought students weren't supposed to be out of beds at this hour.
I quickly pasted my back to the wall by the door and slightly parted the door, making sure I wasn't causing any sound. I peeped through the little gap.
The area was dimly lit with two people standing there and having a conversation.
One was a male, another was a female. I shifted, to get a better view. One was surely a student. I caught the sight of the student. Wait- eh??
It was that tosser from Ravenclaw. Taehyun.
He was talking to a female that I failed to recognise. She definitely wasn't a student. She wasn't wearing the uniform robes. I haven't seen her around in all my years of studying here. I don't remember Hogwarts allowing strangers into the school that too in the middle of the night.
I always knew this bloody school was of no good. 'Hogwarts is the safest place' my arse.
The girl seemed to be in her twenties. She had long hair that was of a silvery colour with blue tips. She wasn't much appealing. However, a noticable feature of hers was a tattoo of black Augurey wings on her back near her neck.
Taehyun seemed to be having a deep conversation with the girl.
I brought my ear nearer to the gap, trying my best to catch their words.
"Keeping all that aside, you could've just owled me, you really shouldn't have come. What if McGonagall spots you??" Taehyun said. I don't know about McGonagall dear, but I have.
"I don't care. I just...I just... I'm begging you, please do it as soon as possible." The girl grabbed his hands.
"I'd need some time. It's not that easy, you know." Taehyun hesitated. What the fuck are they even talking about? "I have faith in you, you can do this." The girl was on the verge of tears while Taehyun just smiled reassuringly.
Why do I feel like I'm interrupting a bloody rom-com?
Taehyun said something again. But I couldn't hear it. I leaned in more, to get a better hearing. But, suddenly I stumbled. I saved myself from falling by grasping the doorknob but that didn't stop a noise from escaping from beside me.
"Who's there?" Taehyun's voice called out, alarmed.
Footsteps approached.
Blimey! I didn't look back again. I just ran. I kept striding away from the astronomy tower and my run only came to a halt when I reached the common room.
"Pure-blood"
Chanting the password, I leapt into the common room. Finally, I caught my breath. My chest rose and fell. Phew! That was close-
Wait....why did I run? I could've just encountered him instead..? This thought emerged in my mind just now...
But anyway, that arse is surely upto something, bringing in a girl, an older girl into the castle and being all lovey-dovey in the middle of the night, intoxicating the Astronomy tower.
Wondering about what the matter must be, I went to my dorm and got into my bed. While making up several stories in my mind ,I didn't even realise when did I even drifted to sleep.

"You infectious lewdster!" I was woken up by a sudden shriek from Ivy. I pulled away the curtain and threw a pillow at her, sleepily. "What?!" Ivy screamed, shedding her usual sophisticated nature.
"Why are y'all yelling so early in the morning?" I shifted in my bed, head down, not wanting to get up anytime soon.
Ivy scoffed. "These dimwitted toerags!!" I'm assuming she's talking about Thea and Zoe.
"What did they do now?" I didn't move an inch.
"This bitch, Thea had the audacity to assume she was important enough to mix her clothes with mine! She kept her bloody bundle of robes just by mine. I was one step away from wearing her filthy robes!!"
I don't think I'll be getting any sleep.
"This is too early for this." Rubbing my eyes, to wake myself up, I got out of bed.
I encountered Ivy holding half-burnt pieces of a black cloth material which I'm assuming to be our uniform robe. I raised a brow at it.
"This was the rubbish of a robe that this wanker over here owns." Her eyes were bulging with an insane energy while she held the piece of cloth up. "You burnt it?" I questioned.
"She did!" A short and flat round faced girl with ginger brown hair, freckles and thin lips shrieked. Her nervous eyes, hesitating to meet mine.
"I don't think she needed to burn down Thea's robes! That was too cruel!" Another tall redhead with messy frings and healthy eyes revolted. Zoe.
I started to chuckle.
Thea and Zoe stopped complaining and just kept watching me. I picked up my wand that was on the table by the bed. I started walking towards the girls.
"Listen, I don't care whatever the robe drama you have here." I gave a quick glance to Ivy before turning to Thea and Zoe again. "However, Miss Rosewood and Miss Ryder. I don't think a half-blood must have the audacity to speak in such a disrespectful tone to a pure-blood."
I looked at Ivy. She returned the smirk that I flashed her.
"B-but-" Thea protested. But Ivy leapt to her, completely letting go of her sophisticated image and acting more like an insane person, widening her eyes and flashing an unpleasant sneer.
She pressed her wand against Thea's throat.
"You should fucking get onto your knees and beg for my forgiveness all while thanking me I burnt your robes and didn't burn you." Her eyes were piercing Thea's.
Zoe, eyeing them nervously seemed like she was about to make a move to help out her little friend.
So, I raised my wand at her. "Don't you dare." I warned. "So, Ivy." I, with an evil sneer, turned to Ivy. "How shall we punish them?"
"Let's see...." She laughed hysterically.
