Return to Hogwarts

1st September, 2022

I get through the platform 9¾ of King's Cross, right into an environment filled with countless witches and wizards.

Parents coming to see off their children, some first years wailing while holding their parents because of separation (pathetic), students running here and there.

The Hogwarts express stands still hooting steam out of it.

Soon, I was joined by my father. "I wonder where Levi is." Father glanced around to see if he can spot my little brother. "He'll be alright. He'd even be happier if he can board onto the train without meeting us." I muttered.

"Don't you dare start anything here." We were joined by our mother. Shit- she heard.

"I'm sorry." I replied, trying to sound apologetic.

"Y/n!" A male voice called from behind. I turned around.

A tall boy with a pale face, messy black hair with a little mullet, steeply arched eyebrows, grey eyes and two piercings on his ears and a creepy smirk pasted on his face approached me.

Caspian.

If I had to be honest, he was handsome. He could be considered as one of the most good-looking boys in our year. His sharp features made him look very attractive indeed.

He was accompanied by a girl, same age as him. She too was tall but wasn't as tall as him. She was skinny but with an hourglass figure. Her brown siren eyes against her pale face were glaring at everyone that dared to walk past her, along with her long wavy layered hair flying gracefully behind her. Her sharp features, with her plump lips and the image of a sophisticated and cold woman would have her mistaken as a Black family member easily.

Ivy.

They approached me, pushing their trolleys. "Hey." I said, without putting much emotion into it.

"Hey!" Caspian said.

"These bloody first years. I want to throw them out of the train." Ivy rolled her eyes.

"Ivy, dear!" My mother cried out. Yeah, she really likes her. "Well, hello, Mrs. Avery. It's a pleasure to encounter you again." Ivy's tone of speaking turned elegant again, as if she completely forgot about the first years she was planning to throw off.

Mother smiled at her pleasantly. Wish she'd do that to me once in a while as well.

"Caspian, how's your family?" She turned to my other friend now.

"They're fine. Orpheus and Levi had fun over the summer. Thank you for sending him to our home. They were around. I just can't spot them now." Caspian said.

"No worries, we'll find them." Mother's voice was dripping honey.

"Go, board in." Mother muttered, in her usual rough voice in my ear and walked off with father, probably to find my brother.

Finally, the three of us were left alone and I could take in air.

"Still scared of your mother, Y/n?" Caspian snorted. "Shut it, Caspian." I gave him a poker face and turn to Ivy. "There's a huge problem. We have to talk."

Ivy gave me a puzzled look. "Let's go in." I suggested and led the way while the other two followed.

It wasn't until long that we managed to come across an empty compartment.

"I'm getting married." I stated after I settled down. Ivy's eyes went wide. Caspian almost stumbled while he was shoving his trunk in the overhead compartment. "What?!" He shrieked.

"You cannot be serious!" Ivy said.

"Do I look like I'm kidding?" I replied with sarcasm. "Who is it?" Caspian landed on the seat across be, beside Ivy.

"Jeon Jungkook." I answered.

"The leader of our Slytherin quidditch team?!" Caspian sounded amused. I made a sound indicating agreement. "Yeah that 7th year Prefect." I rolled my eyes.

I explained my situation to them about how Jungkook was apparently in love with a mysterious person and about the deal that I made with him.

"I don't see a problem there. You can just marry him!" Caspian's eyes twinkled.

Is he thick in the mind?

"Caspian-" I was about to explain him the condition once again when the compartment door bursted open.

Two Gryffindor second years stood on the other side of the door. They seemed to be appalled to encounter us. Yes, fear us.

"What?" Caspian barked as the two boys seemed to blank out. "Get lost, peasants." I spat, roughly. They nodded, nervously and were about to run off.

"Flipendo."

Ivy's curse on them made one of them knock backwards which caused the other one to stumble over him. Both the boys landed on the ground.

Not gonna lie, seeing these monkeys perform such a circus is so entertaining. Caspian snorted enjoying the show. I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Learn to shut the door before you leave, you awful peasants." Ivy said in a venomous voice.

"Isn't it too early to curse people?" I recognise that voice.

Levi.

My little brother helped the two Gryffindors onto their feet. However, those two rushed away without even thanking him. "Mother won't be too happy about this?" I indicated at his at of ridiculous kindness.

Levi didn't answer.

Another 3rd year Slytherin came into view. "Y/n, your brother is becoming too much of a gentleman." It was none other than Caspian's younger brother, Opheus.

He resembled his brother too much. Opheus had the same grey eyes and sharp features. However he was shorter than Caspian. His jet black hair also lacked the little mullet that Caspian had. His jaw was wider than that of Caspian.

"Did you meet mother and father?" I questioned Levi. "Briefly." He curtly said and left for somewhere else. Opheus tailed him, after closing our compartment door.

"I'll take a sleep. Don't bother me." I rested my head onto the window frame.

"As if anyone here would seek death by doing so." I heard Caspian mutter. I smirked while slowly closing my eyes.

"This is so boring when you are not in the lot that are getting sorted." I rolled my eyes, eyeing the sorting ceremony of the first years.

"First year is blooming with pretty girls." Caspian, who sat across me was having fixed on the girls who were waiting to get sorted, nervously.

"Control your horses." Ivy warned Caspian from beside me.

Caspian turned to her instead. "Don't tell me. You're speaking of morals. How I shouldn't be having really unspeakable thoughts about kids?"

"You don't know what houses they're getting sorted into. Imagine snogging a Gryffindor." Ivy pretended to puke.

"Imagine being attracted to a Ravenclaw." Caspian cringed. "Imagine sleeping with a Hufflepuff." I added.

"That'd be worst." Caspian said.

"So, just wait until they get sorted." Ivy locked her eyes with Caspian. "I don't think I need to. You're a good option." Caspian smirked as he stared intensely into her eyes.

"Not a chance, you obstreperous obtuse." Ivy looked away.

I have no idea what those words even meant, but it surely is an insult. Caspian was about to speak again but I decided to interrupt.

"The houses seem to despise each other even to a greater extent this year." I said, observing the students across The Great Hall.

"You're right. The enmity is just increasing day by day. Students from other houses don't get too close to the common room areas of the other houses. A little exchange of curses between two 7th year students was witnessed earlier. Ravenclaw and Slytherin." Caspian seemed to be pleased with this situation. "Slytherin won." He added.

That's the reason for his satisfaction.

"There have been a little change in the timetable and Hufflepuffs are restricted from sharing any classes with us." Ivy shot her striking glare through the Ravenclaw table to the Hufflepuffs.

One student caught her gaze and looked away soon after.

"Too bad, I was planning to see what happens if I use 'Bombarda maxima' on a human." I frowned.
