Summary
Rita Skeeter was your ordinary girl. She enjoyed ordinary girl things like writing, gossiping, and snogging with other girls. Maybe the last one isn't as common. Now Rita is all for trying to hide who she really is. Yeah, so maybe the other girls in her house have caught on a bit but to be fair she does try her best to hide. But it has been hard to hide ever since she started noticing the curly, raven-haired, Slytherin girl that has taken a liking to her, or well more like taken a liking to bullying her. Bellatrix just can't keep her eyes and hands off of Rita. And Rita is more than okay with that.

"A Perfectly Good Heart"

Snogging girls in a dark broom closet. Yeah, my mother would not approve of this. There is not time to worry about what she thinks when she is touching me like this. Merlin, my hands in her hair and her hand on my- Suddenly, the door swings open to reveal not one, not two, but about 10 girls my age standing outside of the door listening to us snog.

I immediately pull away from her and notice her brilliant blue eyes mischievously looking into my aqua green ones. “Was this all a set up?” I ask rhetorically. “You didn’t even like me?” Once again this is a rhetorical question because how could I be so stupid to think that a girl actually likes me.

She lets out a giggle. “Why did this poor little blonde think that a girl would ever like her? Go find a rich husband you’re going to need him with your intellect,” I knew she was right. I was not the smartest. Sure, everyone knew that but to hear it from the girl that I loved so dearly hurt. Hell, it hurt more than ‘hurt’, it felt like a thousand pins poking me everywhere imaginable.

“I’m not stupid!” Before I could bother to hear another remark from the girls, I quickly ran away, pushing through the crowd. I could feel hot saline coming from my eyes. I knew I was crying, but I was too scared to stop running. It feels like someone was chasing me even though I know it’s just in my head, I couldn’t stop running no matter how hard I am willing to try.
I crash into something that feels like a brick wall. “I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to!” The tears continue to rush down my face. I look up to say the girl I loved even though I know she doesn’t like me quite as much.

“How dare you bump into me!” Bellatrix exclaims. “Do you know how much these clothes cost!? More than your house, that's for sure!” she continues. She immediately loses the enraged look that was cursing her face with a ruby color once she notices my blushed face with the salty droplets on it.

“What’s the matter, why are you crying like this?” Bellatrix knows I am a lesbian. Or well may she doesn’t know but she will once the word gets out that I like to snog women.

“I was in the broom closet with a girl, and we were snogging and then a bunch of the people in my house opened the door and it turns out it was all a sick joke to her!” I continue to sob, my face turning a deeper shade of cherry and my eyes turning blood-shot.

“Who did this?” She demands. “Just some girls,” I say, dabbing at my eyes with the tip of my sleeve. “No, I want names,” I can see in her dark eyes that she was slowly getting more enraged with the circumstance.

“The main girl who tricked me into liking her was Audrey, she’s in Gryffindor,” The color in my face is slowly beginning to turn back to the porcelain shade it was prior to this. “And the other girls?” Bella asks.

“Their names were Camilla, Penelope, Gretchen, Phoebe, Leilani, Mileena, Jade, Amber, Faerlie, and Saffron,” Bella takes a mental note before she swiftly heaves me from the floor, so I am standing upright. I never really noticed how strong she was almost like a queen on a throne. “Rita, listen to me, you will go to the Slytherin common room and wait for me to arrive. If anyone tries to give you a hard time just say that you are waiting for Bellatrix,” She states with that form of eloquence that always seems to manipulate me into doing whatever she wants.

I give her a nod but by now she is already halfway down the hall with her hair in a tight bun and her back perfectly straight. I walk to the Slytherin common rooms silently praying that nobody tries to question what I am doing there.
