Remus walked towards the train station and looked around. He pulled the envelope out to double check. Okay, so it does say 9 ¾ but where the fuck is it? He continued looking round the station and then pushed all of his anxiety down and walked to a platform attendant.

“H-Hello, do you know where platform nine and three-quarters is?” Remus spoke, cursing himself in his head for stuttering, pathetic. Pathetic.

“Boy, are you playing tricks on me? There ain’t no nine and three-quarters ‘round here.” The mustached attendant spoke meanly.

“Oh, sorry sir.”

Remus looked around again and went to sit on a bench next to a big train map. Great, how was he ever gonna get to Hogwarts if the fucking train didn’t exist. WHAT IF THE SCHOOL DIDN’T EXIST. HOLY SHIT WAS ILLIONA RIGHT? AM I CRAZY?

Remus’ outrageous thoughts were cut off when he caught a glimpse of a boy and presumably his parents walking through the train station.

“Mom, where is nine and three-quarters again?” The brunette haired boy spoke while bouncing up and down as he walked.

He looked quite happy and had a white owl on his trolley. Why he had an owl though Remus had zero fucking clue, but he must also be a wizard (still trying to make sense of that) and going to Hogwarts.

“Right through this wall here. You have to run through it real quick, don’t worry we’ll be right behind you.” The woman spoke.

Remus got up off the bench and slowly walked towards the family. His trunk squeaked back and forth as he walked. Before Remus could convince himself not to, he walked up to the family.

“Excuse me, um do-is-um platform nine and three-quarters through here? I overheard you, I wasn’t eavesdropping!” Remus spoke. Fuck, why am I still stuttering?

“Oh hello there! Yes, the platform is right through the wall here. Is it your first year? It’s James’ here, he’s quite excited, are you excited? Oh deary I’m rambling again. Do you need help going through?” The woman spoke so fast Remus wasn't sure all she had said in the short amount of time.

“I-uh think I got it..” Remus looked nervously at the wall.

“Hi! I’m James! Although Mum already introduced me. Want to walk to the train together and sit together? Mum packed me some snacks too!”

“Yeah sure,” Remus said cautiously.

“Just run right through bud,” James’ Dad spoke as he looked back at him expectantly.

James backed up a little and then ran full speed ahead at the wall Remus winced and looked away a little but he had no need to because as James “hit” the wall he went right through. Remus stared straight ahead and placed his luggage on a nearby trolley. He scooted the trolley with him and ran. He emerged on the other side of the wall in a place that looked like no other Remus had ever been.

James was waiting for him on his left. No one had ever waited for him before.

James and Remus walked past a bunch of people. It was more crowded than the train station with all the non-wizard/witches people.

“What house do you think you’ll be in? Mum says I’ll be in Gryffindor but Dad says I’ll be Ravenclaw. Personally I think Gryffindor. Everyone I know of in my family has been a Gryffindor besides a couple outsiders.” James spoke the same as his mum and motioned with a hand as he spoke with the other on his luggage trolley.

His caramel-like skin glistened in the sun and was a sweet brown color. His smile was so wide and happy. Remus couldn’t recall ever seeing someone so happy.

They appeared at the train and it was huge. Bigger than any train he’d ever seen on the tele at the orphanage in the common area.

They walked up to the train door and climbed in. Remus looked around. It was so nice it had mahogany features and brown wood, The carpet on the ground was swirly with colors. It felt homey. Which was a weird feeling for Remus. He hadn’t felt that feeling in a long time.

They walked through the very narrow train corridor looking through the windows trying to find an empty compartment. They found one, but it already had someone in it.

They both walked in and Remus instantly recognized the boy as the one he saw outside.  He was even prettier in person, holy fuck, his nose.

The boy had changed clothes since then and was wearing a muscle tee with black trousers, and platform boots. Fucking hell how much hotter could this guy get? Not gay. Not gay. Not fucking gay.

“Can I help you?” the pretty boy asked.

“Huh? What?” Remus replied.

“You are staring at me,” the boy replied in a posh accent.

This is so unfair…”Oh. Sorry. Was thinking about something,” Remus mumbled.

Remus placed his trunk on a shelf above the seat and sat across the boy.

“I’m Sirius Black,” the boy said as he shifted in his seat and held out a hand.

James took it and said, “James Potter.”

Remus was looked at by both of them, Remus realized he never introduced himself to James.

Remus took the hand, “Remus Lupin.”

Another boy walked into the room.

“H-hello may I sit h-here all of the other compartments are taken?” The boy asked; he was shorter than Remus and was pudgy. He had blonde hair.

“Yeah.” and “Sure” came from Sirius and James. Remus just nodded.

Sirius held his hand out and pointed at all of them. “I’m Sirius..Black, That’s James Potter, and Remus Lupin,” He held his hand out towards the boy, “You are?”

The boy wiped his hand on his trousers and shook Sirius’ hand. “I’m Peter, Peter Pettigrew.”

Remus looked all around the cabin at the other three boys. He knew they were all gonna be great friends.
