Chapter 1
Tom Riddle is a very experienced thief. He has been stealing his whole life; he has needed to live. There was definitely not anything fun about it, well except for of course the adrenaline rush of the chance of being caught, the reward of the goods you got, and the feeling you get when you know you are the only one who knows something or that something happened. Ok well there might be a few things fun with it.
Tom has been scouting out houses to target, walking through the local neighborhood, and watching which houses would have lots of stuff and might not notice a few things missing. All the houses in this neighborhood looked almost exactly the same.
He saw a little family of three going to their car to go someplace: a tall woman with a long neck and a horse-like face, a fat man with a mustache, and a (not so) little boy. The woman was fusing over the little boy Tom could guess was their child. He looked over the house and the family and saw the perfectly taken care of garden, the nice clothes the family wore, and that it was a single kid family. Only children's parents usually spoiled their child, especially if they were well off, and this family certainly looked like they made enough to spoil their kid.
Tom decided to mark this house as one to hit later that night, kept in mind 4 privet drive, and kept walking. What Tom didn't see was the little boy looking through the window staring at him.
