Chapter 8
She wakes up and is a bit confused, she doesn't remember leaving the library or getting in bed, and her shoes are off. How did this all happen? It must have been Tom last thing I remember is falling asleep on him.
She gets ready for the day and changes into some wrinkle free clothes. As she changes her shirt and sees her arms she panics for a moment , if Tom put me in bed did he see, he wouldn't look to be nosey but if my sleeve rolled up he would fix it, oh I hope that didn't happen. She debates taking another tranquilizer but doesn't, if she gets in the habit then she'll just take them every day and become numb to everything.
Good she's here and doesn't look tired, he can't help but glance at her arms. That's when it clicks for him she always wears long sleeves or a jacket he'd never seen her arms till last night. He still hasn't found the right words to talk about it though so he tries to set it aside.
Tom- “ Good morning Meeri”
Meeri- “ Good morning Tom”
Theo,Mattheo- “ Morning Meeri”
Meeri- “Morning guys”
Meeri- “ Umm Tom did you take me back to my room last night?”
Tom- “ Yes I didn't want to wake you”
Mattheo- “ whoa what happened last night”
Meeri- “ I feel asleep while studying in the library “
Mattheo- “Oh boring”
Tom wonders why she didn't tell him the full truth of what happened, it's probably a social thing he doesn't understand. Or maybe she just wants to keep it private, interesting.
Meeri- “ Umm I was wondering something “
Theo- “ Yeah shoot”
Meeri- “ Okay so I've never been to a party and was wondering if you guys would take me to one or throw one”
Theo- “ Oh never really?”
Meeri- “ Yeah really”
Mattheo- “ Well totally throw one, we throw the best parties And we can't have your first party be lame”
Meeri- “ Awesome”
She's got a big smile and looks up at him. I don't like parties but have been to some to keep an eye. But going to one with her doesn't sound so bad plus I'll need to keep an eye on her.
Meeri- “ Tom will you come”
Tom- “ Do you want me to?”
Meeri- “ Yes”
Tom- “ Then yes I'll go with you”
She's all smiles.
Theo- “ Have you ever gotten drunk before or anything”
Meeri- “ Yes”
She just keeps surprising them, so many questions sparked by that answer but they decide not to ask anything.
Meeri- “ What do you wear to a party though?”
Mattheo- “ You can dress causal or some girl dress well slutty, it's up to you”
Meeri- “ I don't really have anything but my uniform”
Tom- “ Would you like to wear something else, new for the party?”
Meeri- “ Yeah”
Oh no she sounds sad now all her smiles and happiness gone, I can fix this probably. He puts a hand on her back.
Tom- “ Ill take you shopping, we can get you something special, whatever you'd like”
Meeri- “ Really? But how we can't leave”
Tom- “ I have my ways, trust”
She smiles again and her eyes light up, he's glad he could fix this. But he also knows he may be in over his head taking her shopping isn't something he's skilled at but it shouldn't be too hard just take her to shops and read a book and wait for her to find something.
The party will be this Saturday So they have plans to go out on Friday, he still hasn't told her how they will get out but she trusts that he has his ways. She's excited but also nervous, she's never been go a party and never bought her own clothes before and dressing up she's very unsure about that.
Tom hasn't wanted to bring up the scars and cuts yet, he doesn't want to ruin her happiness, she's so excited about the party. Plus waiting gives him time to figure out his words and feelings on this. What matters today is her finding an outfit she likes that's all.
Classes are done for the day so he goes to her room to get her. He knocks and actually waits this time since he told her to change into regular clothes
Meeri- “ Come in”
He goes in and sees she's wearing very basic clothes, nothing like the brand names Draco wears, if she didn't have the white hair you would never think shes a malfoy. She's just wearing a pair of worn jeans a school button down with a mauve color sweater. Oh im going to spoil her today, she needs an wardrobe update.
Tom- “Ready to go?”
Meeri- “ Yes”
She doesn't ask any questions and just follows him across campus but when she sees they are headed for the woods, she can't deny her curiously anymore .
Meeri- “Tom why are we going to the woods?”
Tom- “ There is magic block transportation magic in the castle and school Grounds but the woods doesn't have that”
Meeri- “ Oh Cool but I haven't learned transpo magic yet”
Tom- “ Don't worry that's for me to handle, take a breath, today is on me so just enjoy, alright”
Meeri- “ Yes”
They get far enough in the woods where transpo magic will work.
Tom-"Come here”
Tom-” Closer”
Once she's standing within arms reach he puts an arm around her and pulls her to his chest. She didn't expect this, but no complaints.
Meeri- “ uhh Tom”
Tom- “ Arm around me like a hug, we have to be close for this to work”
Meeri- “Okay”
She does as he says and hugs onto him. He holds her to him with one arm and uses his wand with the other and casts the spells. She presses her face to him and closes her eyes as the spell starts she feels weird like the grounds disappeared and a strong dizzy feeling.
Tom- “ All done, how do you feel”
Meeri- “ Dizzy”
Tom- “ You'll feel better in a minute “
He holds onto her helping to steady her while she adjusts. Once she's better she pulls away from him and stands on her own and looks around.
Meeri- “ Where are we”
Tom- “ London, Mattheo gave me a list of shops”
So they head out of the alley and start heading to the first shop. Tom pauses when he feels her hands on his arm.
Meeri- “I don't wanna get lost”
Tom- “ I would never lose you”
He still gives her his arm to hold, if it make her more comfortable It's acceptable and it also reassures him knowing she's right there.
They get to the first shop and a worked comes over asking if they need any help, Tom takes change feeling how meeri is nervous.
Tom- “ Yes she needs a full wardrobe”
Worker- “ Okay, come with me well get you set”
Tom- “ Go I have a book”
So she goes with the sales lady who asks about her style and what she likes, but she doesn't really know. With some testing she does find her style dark color, elegant, showing off her curves, and refined. Now she looks like Malfoy.
Worker- “ what's your budget?”
Meeri- “ oh I don't know know”
Worker- “I'll go ask the gentleman”
Tom tells the worker the budget is 700 pounds. Mattheo informed him today would be an expensive day but he doesn't mind, he'll gladly spend his money on her.
She picks out a whole new wardrobe and even chooses to wear one of the outfits out.
Tom pays and waits for her.
He's stunned when he sees her, her uniform and clothes did nothing for her before. She looks like a Malfoy now, like a proper slytherin.
She's wearing a long black pencil skirt that hugs and shows off her curves, a dark green blouse that has a little tie at the neck, and a long black leather coat. Oh she's a vision, my heart it's becoming rapid, oh what she does to me.
She goes to him and does a little spin showing off her outfit, she's all smiles and so excited about it, she's never felt so confident and beautiful before.
Meeri- “ What do you think, do you like it?”
Tom- “ Yes it's very nice, you picked well”
He wants to say she's a stunning vision of beauty but that's not what you say to a friend, those are romantic words. This has been a lesson to him though, his feelings for her are definitely more than friendly now, but how do I tell her, will I mess things Up. So he decides that talk can wait till after the party that way if he messes things up he won't ruin her fun.
They head to then next shop, he notes how she seem happier, is stand straighter, and has a big smile. He just hopes she'll look this way when the truth comes out.
The next shop if for a party outfit, again he sits and lets her go off to find something. He doesn't mind this shopping not as bad as Mattheo warned him it would be. He gets to read and see her get all happy.
Again she gets help from a worker and explains how it's her first party, how her up uniform shows off nothing and how she wants to stand out and make show off. She trys a few things then finds the perfect fit, it's covers her arms and shows off curves and skin, she gets some short heels to go with and they check out.
Tom- “ That was quick, this is all”
Meeri- “ I don't need 20 party outfits just one thing is perfect “
Tom- “ Alright them”
Tom pulls out the shop list wondering if they should make more stops.
Meeri- “ What's that?”
Tom- “ A list Of shops Mattheo gave mec
Meeri- “ Can I see”
He hands the list over and she looks over it, she doesn't need anymore clothes, but she sees Sephora on the list and tells Tom she wants to go there, so off they go.
Tom- “ What does sephora sell”
Meeri- “ Makeup stuff, oh but this isn't a place that will have a chair for you to read is that okay”
Tom-” Thats alright”
So he follows her through the shop as she tests and picks things out. She stops and looks between him and her basket.
Meeri- “ Tom this is expressive stuff and you've probably already spent way to much on me today I don't need this”
Tom- “ Your going to let me spoil you today, so let's continue, alright Meeri”
She's a bit too shocked to speak so she just nods yes and continues. He didn't ask or just reasure me no he commanded me, his tone was a bit harsher but not in a bad way, more so in a way that gave me a fluttery feeling and made me blush and have to turn away.
When they check out he covers her eyes not letting her see the price, the contact gives her another fluttery feeling moment.
It's time to head back, they step into a side alley away from view.
Meeri‐” What about the bags we can't been seen with those coming from the woods”
Tom-” I've got that handled, the transp block only blocks people not things so I can send these back on their own”
He does just that and the bags disappear, then he opens his arms and that's her cue to hug on him. She gets close wraps her arms around him and buries her face in his chest. He holds onto her and casts the spells, the dizzy feeling isn't as bad this time but she still needs a minute to adjust. They walk back to campus.
Tom-” I'll bring the bags go your room”
Meeri-” I can help”
Tom-” I haven't let you carry a bag all day that's not changing now just go back to your room”
Meeri-” Okay”
As they walk towards the common room, Tom notices all the guys glancing at her with hungry eyes and he hates it. He pulls them into a side hall and buttons up her jacket covering her curves.
Meeri-” Umm Tom what are you doing”
He can't say his true answer it would give away to much.
Tom-” You Should cover up”
Meeri-” Oh okay”
He hears the hurt in her voice and it feels like a punch to the gut but he takes it. If he said his true words he would sound very jealous and possessive. He just hopes he didn't hurt her too badly.
He takes the bags to her room, he offers to help put things away but she politely declines, he knows its cause she still feels hurt, he curses his lack of knowledge in this area.
At dinner she is polite but again he senses her hurt, how she's more shy, more nervous, more quiet.
