Mattheo- “Damn whos that
Theo- "Who, Oh wow hot new girl "
Draco turns to see who they are talking about
Draco - " Meriabell"
Theo- " You know her"
Draco- " She, she uh is my sister”
Mattheo- " Since when do you have a sister”
Theo- " I see why you’d keep her a secret”
She sees Draco and goes over to him and the guy.
Meeri- " Hey Draco"
Draco- " Meriabell what are you doing here"
Meeri- " Mother said I'd had enough homeschooling was time I came here"
Draco- " When did you get here"
Meeri- " This morning"
The guys are all checking her out
trying to get a read on her, even Tom glances up at her.
His take is she seems like a very anxious little thing.
Mattheo- " Come dude aren't you gonna introduce us?"
Draco- " This is Mattheo, Theo, and Tom riddle best steer clear of him, now come let go,"
Draco takes her arm trying to lead her away.
Meeri- " Nice to meet you guys"
She calls out while Draco drags her away,
once at the stairs to the dorms he stops leading her.
Draco- " Just go"
Meeri- " Nice to see you too brother"
It's dinner time she heads down
and Theo waves her over so she joins them.
She standing on the same side of the table as Tom and
the only open spot is next to him but
he gives off an aura that kinda scares her.
Meeri- "Excuse me Tom can I sit here"
Tom- "Yes”
Tom does not usually let anyone take that spot
But she asks os politely and he is a bit curious about her,
And she doesn"t seem the type to bother or try to take his food.
She sits next to him and has dinner,
The guys notice she eats oddly like she is being timed
Or like a dog competing with others for food.
The next day at breakfast she gets there first taking the same seat,
Tom does not mind thought and sits beside her.
Again they notice how she east oddly, but it does fit,
She has a very anxious, nervous, scared energy about her.
Draco leaves after a quick breakfast,
The guys take this as their opportunity to talk to her.
Mattheo- " We aren't gonna bite you, you know"
Meeri- " What"
Theo- " You just seem scared, and we aren't gonna hurt you or anything"
Meeri- " Oh I'm just the nervous type"
They guys aren't sure they believe that answer,
Seems like something more is going on,
But they don't push her more.
In defense against the dark arts class
Tom notices how she looks more scared.
He goes over to her side.
Tom- " Have you learned any defensive magic"
Meeri- " No”
Tom- " Today, south garden, 4:30,"
Meer- "That's the one near the owl tower right?"
Tom- " Yes"
As he thought no defensive magic was taught in homeschooling,
She's very good at everything else, even catching up to him.
He hopes that teaching her some defensive magic
It will help her be less scared all the time.
He usually doesn"t do anything for
others but this is more about fulfilling a curiosity.
Mattheo- " Where are you going"
Tom- " South garden giving Meriabell DATDA lesson"
The guys are a bit shocked hearing that,
It's totally out of character for him but they don't question him.
He goes to the garden and finds she already there waiting for him,
Good she's punctual, I hate when people are late.
Meeri- "Hello Tom"
Tom- " Greetings Meriabell, let's get right to it, do you know any defensive magic"
Meeri- "I know I spell but I shouldn't know it"
Tom- " Show me”
Tom stands in position and is ready
and curious for whatever this spell is.
Such an odd way to phrase it, matter of fact she always words things in an odd manner.
Meeri-" You want me to fire at you”
Tom- " Yes go ahead"
Merri- " But"
Tom- " Dont worry I can deflect, now show me”
So she gets into position, and Tom sees her change,
Finally, for the first time, she does look scared or anxious.
She looks calm, focused, and imposing.
The spells she says he doesn't recognize the words,
and the spell that comes at him, thank Merlin he put up a strong barrier just in case. This still could kill if it made a direct hit.
What in Merlin's name was that?
Meeri- " Ar are you okay, did I do bad"
Tom- " No that was good but where did you learn that spell"
Meeri-" Oh well I overheard and saw something I shouldn't have"
That makes sense the Malfoys are death eaters,
Makes sense she would see something like that.
But still to pull off such a powerful dangerous spell so effortlessly.
Tom- " Well that spell is one you shouldn't use in class, I will teach you lower-level ones that are class-appropriate"
Meeri-" Why shouldn't I use it”
Tom- “ Im top student and have strong magic but others if they took that hit it could be lethal”
Meeri- " Oh I see”
Tom- " Yes so let us begin our lesson on class-appropriate spells"
She is a good student, she's a natural, she has a lot of raw power.
Even low-level spells she makes stronger
with her raw power.
He's impressed and looks forward to teaching her.
They set up a schedule for more lessons.
Meeri- " Did I do good”
Tom- " Yes you did good”
Tom doesn't give praise but the desperation in her voice,
The expectant look on her face,
like she expects ridicule,
So he praises her.
She has never gotten praise before,
Never been told she did good,
So this is quite a rush and makes her genuinely smile.
Draco had warned her about Tom, and she's seen how others react to him but she doesn't understand, he is nice to her.
