Chapter 2
It's was the morning of the day they go home for the Christmas holidays. Regulus just laid in his bed wondering how he got to this point in a few hours Regulus was going to be at the potters house spending Christmas there although it doesn't seem like a bad thing he also wasn't looking forward to spending two weeks in the potters with his brother and worst of all james.
Regulus thought to himself that it wasn't to bad because although james was going to be there so was sirius, remus and Peter although he didn't know them well Regulus didn't mind the two boys and thought that they were all right.
As he laid there thinking to himself he hear barty yelling at him to get up or he was going to miss the train. Which was a bit dramatic because the still have at least 2 hours before the train left but still Regulus remember that he hadn't finished packing his stuff which he should probably do. As he sat there barty called out to him again.
"Come on reggie don't wanna be late to go to your boyfriend's house"
"Barty potter is not my boyfriend"
"You sure about that"
"Yes barty I'm positive"
"Ok whatever you say reg"
With that he heard the door to there dorm close as barty had left for breakfast he assumed that evan had gone with him because when he finally got up he wasn't in the room.
Regulus quickly got ready and went to the great hall for breakfast where he met his friends at the slytherin table as he sat down he saw dircas staring at the gryffindor table presumably at marlene as dorcas had stated not long ago that she had feelings for her.
Dorcas had mentioned it to regulus and he told her that she should just tell her which is when dorcas called him mental and said that he should shut up because he doesn't know anything and regulus wasn't in the mood to fight with her about it.
Dorcas had turned to regulus as he sat down and saw that he was looking in the direction that she was a minute ago and got annoyed telling him to shut up and not say anything about it which made barty laugh them dorcas said that he wasn't any better which barty replied saying that he doesn't know what she was talking about. Which is when regulus told her that she shouldn't even try because it was useless because he already did and it didn't end well.
The five of them started to discuss their plans for the winter break when sirius appeared behind regulus asking to talk to him about something.
"What did you want"
"I wanted to tell you that I'll meet you on the train in my usual compartment"
"And why would I want to sit with you"
"Because I'm your brother and you love me"
"Ugh fine"
"Ok I'll see you then"
And with that sirius skipped of back over to the gryffindor table. As he sat back down regulus thought about what he had just agreed to. He just said he would sit with sirius and his friends on the train. Which wouldn't be so bad except for the one thing regulus forgot james potter. After awhile regulus just accepted his defeat and thought it would be fine. Wouldn't it ....

As regulus got back to his dorm he finished packing all of his stuff into his trunk that he would need for the Christmas holidays like his hat and scarf. Regulus can't say he is too excited about going to the potters but he is excited to spend more time with sirius and maybe even remus and Peter but not james.
When he was done regulus made his way outside with evan and pandora to the train. As regulus got on the train he walk to the compartment that sirius and his friends always sit it and sitting there was remus and sirius on one side and Peter and james on the other.
Regulus walked into the compartment and as soon as sirius saw him he shot up from his seat to greet his brother. Regulus sat between sirius and remus with Peter opposite of him.
As he sat down sirius introduced him to remus and Peter although he already knew of then he never met them. Both the boys said hi to him and he said it back which is when they went back to their previous conversation from before regulus came in.
Sirius turned to regulus and started to tell him about james house and his parents. Sirius explained that they were wonderful people and that they are going to be happy to have him.which is when james started listening and then shared his own opinion.
"There's nothing to worry about they are going to love you"
"I wasn't worried"
"Reg be nice"
"I am being nice"
Sirius looked at regulus unhappy about the fight that regulus was clearly trying to start between him and james. Regulus didn't care about what sirius thought. If he thought for a even second that regulus was just going to sit there and be nice to the boy he has spent years hating then he was very wrong.
After that sirius just turned away and continued the conversation with his friends. If sirius thought for on minute that regulus was gonna be friends with james than he was very wrong. Regulus got put a book and started read because he was not interested in whatever those four idiots were talking about.
After awhile regulus looked up from his book and saw james staring at him. Regulus wasn't going to sit there and just let him stair at him so he questioned him.
"Why are you staring at me"
"What no I'm not james said panicked
"You clearly were"
"I don't know what your talking about I was looking at sirius"
"Yeah ok sure"regulus replied annoyed
After that regulus looked away and went back to reading his book. If it wasn't clear to james before regulus didn't like him and didn't plan on so he was just gonna have to leave him alone.

After that not much else happened they ignored the face that james was full on staring at regulus and went back to their conversation. Regulus just sat reading his book the whole time not paying much attention to them.
A bit after that they had made it to 9¾ and were started to get off the train. As he started to walk of the train regulus became a bit uneasy of what james parents mite think of him. As he started to walk of sirius saw this and told him he was gonna be fine and that they were gonna love him.
As the walked at bit further sirius spotted someone and dropped his stuff on the floor which remus picked up. Regulus turned to the direction he ran and saw them. Euphemia and fleamont potter standing there hugging sirius. Without even releasing regulus stopped where he was and just stood their staring. Just as he snapped back into reality james walked past and said "look who's staring now" before laughing and running to join sirius.
Although regulus wasn't very happy about it he ignored it and started to walk behind remus. Although he didn't think james parents were going to pay much attention to him he soon found out that it was quite the opposite. As soon as the two finished talking to sirius and james they turned to regulus.
"Well hello you must be regulus how lovely to meet you I'm euphemia James's mum but you can call my effie if you like"
"Ummm thanks its good to meet you too"
"Hello regulus I'm fleamont James's dad but you can call me monty if you'd like I am very happy that you are joining us this Christmas"
"Thanks" Regulus replied smiling
As they finished their conversation they told the boys that it was time for them to go back home. They went to the Apparating room. Fleamont told regulus that since he had never been to their house before he could tag along with him and with a loud *crack* they were standing outside the potters house.
The house was very big and very nice the walks were white with a red door. There was flowers planted in flower beds in front of the two front windows. The house was three stories tall. Overall the house looked very well and it was very nice.
Regulus looked at the house for a while thinking that maybe this Christmas wasn't going to be so bad.... before nearly laughing because of course it wasn't going to be as great as sirius say it is because if james was as enthusiastic about spending time with regulus as the looked when sirius told him. Then this was going to be a very long Christmas.
They walked inside the house and it looked as beautiful as the outside. There were pictures all over the walls the walks were a off-white colour similar to the outside walls. The were a big set of stairs just a bit from when you walk in the door and to the right was the living room which was all decorated with Christmas decorations the tree sitting in the middle of the room with lights that lit up the room.
Regulus thought that it was nicely decorated and it looked very well. Just as regulus finished looking at the tree sirius appeared in front of him.
"Come on reggie I'll show you to your room"
And with that he followed sirius up the set of stairs and down the hall to and stopped outside the door.
"Well here it is I'm gonna go to my room but you can go look around yours"
"Ok thanks"
After that sirius walked across the hall to his room. Regulus opened the door to the room and to his surprise it looked very similar to the slytherin dorms. Regulus thought the dorm was going to look like the gryffindors dorms but it look more like the slytherin ones. Which regulus thought was strange because sirius had never been in his dorm and from what he knows euphemia and fleamont were both gryffindors.
Just as regulus was about to close the door behind him james appeared there.
"What do you want potter"
"What do you think of your room"
It's fine"
"Just fine oh come on reggie I spent so much time on it"
"First of all don't call me reggie second of all what are you on about"
"Well who do you think did it"
"I don't know someone smart"
"I am smart I made it look like the slytherin dorms"
"Well yes I'm not blind potter"
"How do you even know what they look like"
"Because I'm smart"
" Debatable"
"So what do you think"
"Is nice I guess now will you leave me alone"
"I suppose I could do that"
"Good then leave"
With that james walk away. Of course it was james he was always trying to be nice to regulus as if it was going to make him like him. Well he was very wrong. Regulus still wondered how james knew was the slytherin dorms looked like but at this point he didn't care. He was never going to admit it to james but the room looked just as nice as the rest of the house. Regulus looked around for a bit them started to unpack maybe avoiding james was going to be harder than he thought. Regulus did not want to spend time with james but regulus did want to spend time with sirius. This was going to be the longest Christmas break ever if james was going to keep trying to be friends with regulus.
