Chapter 1
Regulus black is fifteen he has short curly black hair with a streak of white he is not very tall but not short he is also very skinny .he enjoys reading , his own company and studying in dark silence places .
Sirius black is sixteen he has wave black hair to just above his shoulders he is only a bit taller than his younger brother .he is the opposite from his brother he likes sports , going out with his friends and is very very loud .
Although the two boys are very similar in ways they are also very different one thing is regulus eyes are more gray were as sirius' are more blue. Regulus has a streak of white or blonde in his hair but sirius' is just black. Regulus likes to study sirius likes to go out. Sirius is in gryffindor but regulus is in slytherin. Sirius like to play pranks regulus hates them especially the ones they pull on the slytherins.
This is one of the many reasons why after Sirius left last year they didn't speak much . It's not like regulus doesn't like his brother I mean he loves him but sometimes he is just a bit much . Regulus can't decide if he is just mad that he left him or just annoyed that his brother was brave enough to leave and he wasn't.
Which is why when regulus saw his brother coming towards him after lunch one day he thought he was dreaming. He thought that the hate he had for his brother was mutual. But clearly not because his brother was walking towards his looking happy as ever which made regulus think this had to be one of their pranks right??
Why on earth would his brother who he hadn't talk to in almost a year want to talk to him and why? There wasn't much time to think about it before his brother had reached him and started to talk to him
"Hey reg I was wondering if I could talk to you"?
"What do you want sirius"?
"I just wanted to talk to you I mean I know it's been a while since we talked but I just wanted to ask how you are"
"I'm fine"
"You sure"?
"Yes now did you need something"??
"Yes I wanted to ask you about something"
"Well what is it"?regulus asks his brother impatiently
"Ok I know we haven't talked in a while but I wanted to invite you to come to the potters for Christmas "
"Why on earth would I do that"?regulus said scoffing
" I don't know we can spend time together"
"Fine i guess I'll think about it"
"Good" sirius said smiling even bigger than before then running away back to his friends.
As sirius stopped in front of his friends which is when regulus spotted him the most insufferable and annoying person on the planet James potter. james is sixteen he has short brown hair and tanned skin and is taller than sirius but not as tall as their friend remus . He is loud , sporty , like pulling pranks with his friends and in regulus's opinion the most annoying and obnoxious person ever.
Regulus did not like james potter one bit I mean why would he he's the one who stole his brother from him . He was one of the last people on earth regulus would ever want to spend him Christmas with . Regulus hated james but he also thought about how he could get his brother back.he remember how much he loved sirius and sighed . He did not like james one bit but this wasn't about him this is about becoming close with his brother again so maybe he would just have to deal with it I mean was james really that bad. Its a stupidquestionof coursehe is but maybehis isnt and regulus just needs to get to know him. As regulus thought about it he starts to laugh why on earth would he want to get to know let alone talk to james potter.
Regulus sat there and thought about it and before he could change his mind he ran after sirius calling after him as sirius turned around regulus saw james staring at him . Ignoring him he turns to his brother as he starts speaking to him.
"Sirius can I talk to you"
"Are you ok reggie"?
"I have thought about what you said"
"And what did you decide"??
"I've decided I'll go to the potters with you for Christmas"
"Really"??sirius said excited
"Yes"regulus said starting to smile at how happy his brother was
"That's great"
After that regulus walked away from his brother and his friends and could hear him talking excitingly to his recent boyfriend remus lupin . Remus also sixteen was the tallest out of the four boys and had short sandy blond hair. Remus was what regulus thought was the most sensible out of the four . He like studying in the library with lily evans and mary macdonald and reading. Very similar to regulus but not much because he also like their pranks which regulus didn't enjoy.
As regulus walked away back to his dorm he felt happy that he and his brother could finally become brothers again and he mite actually for once have a good Christmas or at least he hopes . Christmas in theirhouse was normal as to what it would be at James's. Sometimes regulus used to wonderwhat it would be like spending Christmas with a normal family as he thought about it he reminded himself that it was James's family and regulusdidnt like james Althoughhe has nothing against his parents because the two seem nice enough regulus can't think of anything worse right now than spendingtwo weeks at the potters but this wasnt about james this was about sirius and sirius wanting to spend time with him so he was just gonna have to deal with it.

Sirius was the happiest he had been in a while just an hour ago his brother had agreed to come to the potters for Christmas so they could spend more time together. Sirius really thought regulus was going to say no but this just makes Sirius even happier.
Sirius loves his brother and one of the hardest things he ever had to do was leave him in that house but the longer sirius stayed the more dangerous it got for him. He always wanted to protect his brother no matter what but with leaving his house not his home that place could never be a home he can't protect his little brother from the monsters he once called his parents. Sometimes it make sirius feel guilty that he left without his brother but his friends always reminded him that he needed to get out or he could have died but that doesn't stop him from feeling bad because although they were right regulus was his baby brother and it was his job to protect him.
He is really glad his brother said yes and has been thinking about it ever since his brother came running after him saying he would do it . He been thinking about it for so long that he doesn't even know what they are doing in class right now . He only snaps back into reality when james waves his hand in front of his face calling his name telling him that class had ended .
He packed up his stuff and started to think about how regulus acts around james. Sirius knew that his brother had a hatred for his friend but what he didn't realise is that james didn't feel the same. After all these years of sirius hearing regulus tell him how much he despise james he thought to himself that never once had he said anything bad about his brother not even last year when he left and told james how guilty he felt for leaving regulus behind. James never once said something bad about regulus.
sirius knew if the roles were revised regulus would certainly have something to say about james. Although he doesn't like it when his brother talks bad about jame he can see where he is coming from Although it doesn't seem like it sirius know that he and his friend can be a bit much at times so he understands but for once sirius just wants them to get along but maybe that won't be so hard ....
As they started walking back to their dorm together lily asks remus why sirius seemed extra happy today .lily is also sixteen like the boys and has long red hair she is just a little bit shorter than sirius. Lily enjoys studying in the library with mary and remus and hanging out with all their friends. Which remus then responded to her question telling her about how regulus had agreed to going to the potters for Christmas . Just thinking about it made sirius smile he was happy that he and his brother were finally going to be able to spend time together.
As they walk into their dorm sirius dumps his stuff on the floor and drops on his bed . Smiling at how dramatic he is remus picks up his stuff and puts it where it's sopost to go . Sitting on his own bed remus starts talking to Peter who is sat on the bottom of his bed . Peter who as like all of the other boys is also sixteen he has short blonde hair and is just a bit taller than sirius. Peter likes spending time in the greenhouse and playing chess and of course their pranks .They start to talk about homework which I when sirius loses all interest in the conversation turns to james who is taking off his tie before Sitting on his own bed .
"So how do you feel" james said smiling at sirius .
"About what" sirius said confused
"About regulus agreeing to stay at mine for Christmas"
"Great" sirius say smiling at his friend sirius knows that james knows how much regulus means to him . After sirius left last year he has been telling james about how much he wished he could have taken regulus with him and how much he miss him.
"Well I'm glad your happy"
"Thanks prongs"
James just smiled back
The two boy then started to talk about their upcoming pranks they planned to do and the homework that they planned not to do .Ever since their first day of school in first year james and sirius had been very close james has helped sirius through hard times in his life for example after he left he and he felt very guilty about leaving his brother behind. James was always there for sirius and he loves james like a brother something in sirius wants regulus to like him to . Its not news to anyone that regulus despises james which sirius doesn't understand why but he hopes that they can both get along. Then as the two boys finished discussing how much they didn't want to do the homework they got today remus said that it was nearly time for dinner so they got ready to go down for dinner and then made their way down to the great hall for dinner .

As regulus walked into his dorm he was is greeted with his two dorm mates evan rosier and barty crouch jr both sitting on their beds doing their homework as the boys had a free class. The three boys had all been friends since first year and were all very close .
Evan is 15 he has short blonde hair and is just about the same height as regulus. He likes messing with the younger years and spending time with the other two boys and their other friends. Barty is also 15 he has short brown hair with a few green streaks . He also likes messing with younger years fighting with the slytherin boy in the year above them and spending time with their friends. The two boy are always staringat each other laying on top of each other and flirting with each other but they both swear they are only friendsand they do not like each other like that but regulus thinks that they are both either dumb or in Denial about being queer. Regulus had come out in their 3rd year and his friends didn't really say much about it its not as if they are against it they are just to dumb to realise that they aren't straight.
As he walks in the two boys look up from their books and over at the door. Regulus say hi to the both of them they puts his bag beside his bed before Sitting down on it . The two boys who were sitting on their beds doing homework close their books to look up at regulus.
"Hi reg"
"Hey evan"
"Where did you go after lunch today"?
That's when regulus realised that after not even think and running after sirius he had forgotten to tell his friends where he was going or even if he was coimg back.
"Ohh ummm I wanted to talk to sirius but I realised that he was leaving so i ran after him"
"What did you need to ask he I thought you two had already talked before that" barty asked.
"Well he asked if I wanted to spend Christmas at the potters"
Just then evan and barty bursted out laughing at what regulus had just said .
"What's so funny"
"Sirius asked you to spend Christmas at james potters house"barty said hardlyforminga sentence laughing harder.
"Ok and what's so funny about that"
"Taken a liking to james potter have you reggie"evan asks laughing
"What no"
"Oh really then what did you say to him" barty asks
"I said yes but only to spend time with sirius"
The two boy started laughing again this time even harder than before. Regulus didn't understand why they found this so funny regulus then made it clear that he had no interest it spending time with james which made the other two laugh even harder.
"Honestly reg you can't expect to spend time with sirius without james being there" barty said laughing
"Yeah they are always together"evan stated
"Well I know that but james is just gonna have to fuck off"
Which made the two boys fall into a fit of laughter again. Regulus knew that you almost never saw sirius without james but maybe he was just a bit stupid to think that sirius would leave james out of them spending time together but regulus could only hope.
The thought of spending time with his brother makes him smile it had been so long since he and sirius talked that he had forgot what his voice sounded like . Regulus never hated his brother he thought he did but soon he realised that he was just jealous of him . Jealous that he was brave enough to leave jealous that he had the life regulus wanted . Evan after all that they've been through sirius still wanted to talk to his brother and that is when regulus knew he didn't hate him and he supposed he didn't hate him either.
After sitting with his thoughts for a bit regulus looked over and saw that his two friends had gone back to doing their homework and then regulus grabbed his own bag and started his own work too.
He knows more than anyone in the school how much sirius loves james . The first year after sirius came back from hogwarts all he could talk about was his new friends one he mentioned in more detail was a boy named james potter sirius talk about this boy as if he was a God. The way that sirius spoke about james made him think he was amazing but he later found out that it was not the case. Regulus knows sirius loves him but regulus also knows that sirius loves james sirius loves james as if he was his brother although regulus doesn't understand why probably because he's never really talked to james all he remembers is that a boy took his brother away and that he didn't like him. As much as regulus hated james he would do anything for sirius and if that means hanging out with james potter for the Christmas holidays than so be it he's sure it can't be that bad right ???

It had been an hour and a half since regulus had gotten to the dorm he had finished all of his homework and had started to get ready for dinner. Dinner had started about twenty minutes ago but the boys hadn't been bothered getting ready. When the had finally gotten to dinner they were thirty minutes late. Althoughthey didnt really care anyway.
As the walked into the great hall they saw their other two friends already sitting at the slytherin table together. When they got to the table they sat beside their two friends dorcas meadows and pandora rosier. Dorcas is fifteen she has her hair Braided with silver charms In them she is just a bit taller than evan . Dorcas likes playing sports studying with regulus and pandora and hanging out with the gryffindors which the three boys can never understand why . The other girl at the table is pandora she is also fifteen and had long blonde hair she is evans older twin sister . Pandora is in ravenclaw but likes the slytherins better.she enjoys studying and learning about the different magical creatures.
As the three boys sit down the two girls greet them and then dorcas tells them off for being late. They start to talk while eating their dinner that the other two girl kindly put onto plates for them. After talking for a while barty brings up regulus telling them about going to the potters for Christmas which catches the two girls attention.
"I'm sorry did you said regulus is going to the potters for Christmas" dorcas said confused
"Yes he did sirius ask me earlier today if I would and I said yes" regulus said annoyed
"You regulus black is going to the potters for Christmas the same regulus who swore he hated james potter"
"I'm not going to spend time with james I'm going to spend time with sirius"
"You do know how stupid you sound right going to james house and not spending time with james your joking right" she said laughing
"No I'm sure sirius can live not spending all his time james"
"Regulus are you even listening to what your saying you sound mad I'm sure you know by now that those two idiots are always attached at the hip"
Regulus of all people should know it was a stupid this to think that sirius would spend even five minutes without james with him he can't remember the longest they ever had apart from when sirius when home for the breaks althoughthat was hard for him to do. So maybe he did sound stupid but he can still hope that maybe he is right. But as he already knew, sirius loved james like james was his brother and as much as regulus hated him for stealing his brother he knew that james helped sirius though a lot and it would be cruel to force sirius not to spend time with his best friend at his best friends house at Christmas. But regulus can still wish that maybe just for a bit it would be possible.
