Don’t Leave Me
The final battle had ended.
Ambessa is dead
Jayce and Viktor are gone.
Ekko is nowhere to be seen yet
Jinx is “dead”
After Jinx sacrificed herself, Vi lies there screaming and crying. Eventually she picks herself up and gets out of the hexgate tower.
She runs to find Caitlyn.
As Vi is running all of a sudden she stops, she sees Mel in the distance, on her knees, with Caitlyn lying on her.
Without anymore hesitation Vi runs over to Mel and drops to her knees looking over Caitlyn.
Vi - “No, no, no, no, no! C-Caitlyn!”
Vi gets tears in her eyes, looking at Caitlyn, she holds each side of her face with her hand and caresses her cheek with her thumb.
Vi is looking at Caitlyn and notices her eye
Whilst looking at Caitlyn she talks to Mel
Vi - “What the fuck happened?!”
Mel - “It-it was my mother”
Mel looked down at Caitlyn with a worried expression
Mel - “W- we fought my mother and in the process Caitlyn sacrificed her eye so that I could capture her and end this”
Mel looked at Vi with concern and confusion
“She was awake after that, I saw her”
Vi didn’t take her eyes or hands off Caitlyn and said softly and sniffly whilst stroking her cheek with her thumb
Vi - “Hey Cait”
Vi grew more worried her voice becoming more concerned as Caitlyn didn’t open her eyes or answer back
“Caitlyn?!”
Vi looked at Mel tears rolling down her face. Her voice shaking
Vi - “W- why is she not waking up?!”
Mel looks at Vi with tears in her eyes
“I’m so sorry…”
Mel took a breath
“I don’t know what’s going on one minute she was fine the next…”
Mel stopped as she didn’t know what to say
Vi’s was looking down at Cait, her face above hers
Vi - “Caitlyn, please, please…”
Tears rolled down Vi’s face onto Caits cheek
Vi - “Please wake up!”
Vi’s tears kept rolling down her face and she put her head and hands on Caitlyn’s chest and starts crying her eyes out.
In a muffled voice Vi cried
Vi - “Please don’t leave me too”
When Vi said this, Mel looked around and saw that Jinx wasn’t with Vi.
Mel - “Vi, where’s your sister?”
Vi looked up at Mel wiping her tears, one of her hands held Caits hand.
Vi nodded at Mel telling her Jinx didn’t make it
Mel understood and looked down
“Vi?”
Vi heard this voice, and turned her head
“Oh my god…”
Vi was still crying but was relieved
Vi - “Ekko?”
Ekko comes over to Vi seeing Cait and kneels down
Ekko - “Vi- I- I’m so sorry”
Ekko puts his arms around Vi and hugs her
Vi let Ekko hug her but didn’t hug him back or take her eyes off Caitlyn
Vi sniffles, tears slowly forming in her eyes again and slowly rolling down her face
“Glad your okay Little Man”
Ekko still hugging Vi
“I’m glad you’re okay too”
Ekko let go of the hug
Ekko - “You stay here, I’ll go look for Jinx”
Ekko’s eyes lit up at the thought of jinx
Ekko looked around to see if she was around
Ekko - “She was with you last, you know where she is now?”
Vi looked at Ekko and cried even more
Ekko looked at Vi confused.
The thought of jinx not making it didn’t cross his mind as it was jinx and he knew she could survive anything
Mel knew Vi couldn’t tell him
Mel got up and put a friendly hand on Ekko’s shoulder
Mel - “I think we need to have a chat”
Ekko looked at Mel and got up taking his hands off Vi
Mel took Ekko away from Caitlyn and Vi and talked to him
Vi was still looking at Caitlyn crying.
Vi’s hand went back to Caitlyn’s cheek, stroking it with her thumb
After a moment
A group of medics came over to Cait and Vi.
They got Vi up and they were putting Caitlyn on a stretcher.
The medics were pulling Vi away from Cait
Vi with tears streaming down her face fought the medics off
Vi - “Get off me!”
Vi kept pushing them off and kept calling out Caitlyn’s name
“Caitlyn!” - Vi cried
The medics kept trying to pull Vi away splitting her and Caitlyn up.
Vi saw one of the other medics checking Caitlyn’s heartbeat with a stethoscope
The medic that was with Cait nodded to the medic that was with Vi
Vi saw this and kept fighting to get to Caitlyn
Medic to Vi - “Vi my names Alex, we have to take Caitlyn to see what’s going on and we need to get you checked out too”
The medic checking caits heartbeat came to medic Alex and whispered in his ear
Medic Alex nodded
And the other medic went back to Caitlyn
Alex looked at Vi putting a hand on her shoulder
Vi shoved his hand off
Medic Alex understood why she did that but explained what’s going on
Medic Alex - “I understand why you’re upset, I want you to know everything, and right now Caitlyn does have a heartbeat…”
Vi was relieved when she heard this
Medic Alex - “But it took a while to hear it, meaning it’s extremely weak, which is why we need to take her”
Vi grew more worried, she didn’t wanna be apart from Caitlyn ever again
Vi - “You’re not taking her away from me again!” “I’m staying with her!”
Mel heard what was going on and came over straight away she nodded to the medic telling him she’s got this
Medic Alex took a step back
Mel looks at Vi
Mel - “Vi, I will stay with Caitlyn and I will let you know everything that happens. In the mean time you need to get checked out”
Vi wasn’t convinced and Mel could see this
Mel - “You can trust me, I’ve known Caitlyn since she was a little girl”
Vi was relieved to hear this but didn’t say anything
Mel- “It’s the fact that I’ve known her since she was a little girl that I know she won’t give up without a fight. I promise to tell you everything that’s happening, okay?”
Vi nodded agreeing with Mel
Mel smiled softly
Mel - “Besides if-“
Mel stopped and sighed
Mel - “When… Caitlyn wakes up and finds out you didn’t get checked out she’s not gonna be too happy that the love of her life was so stupid to not look after herself”
This made Vi smile a little cause she knew Mel was right
Mel knew Vi needed comfort and so she hugged her
Mel- “She’ll be okay”
Vi with tears in her eyes hugged Mel back and said in a low tone
“Please look after her”
Vi pulled away from the hug and looked at Mel
Mel nodded
Vi saw Caitlyn getting taken away on a stretcher, Mel walking with her, and so she let the medics take her away to get herself checked out too
