Intermission
The blurt of static meant that the speaker was back on.
“That was the end of Act 1, so feel free to take a quick little break! We’ll be back in about 10-15 minutes.” The group all nodded, though they didn’t know if the person on the speaker could even see them. Harry got up to use the bathroom. The rest sat in awkward silence for a moment.
“So. That’s around the end of our fourth year, right?” Ron asked. The group nodded.
“Yes. They skipped a few, though. I’m assuming they’ll be going in somewhat chronological order while glossing over some years,” Hermione explained, proud of herself for coming to that conclusion.
“I think it’s rather funny,” Dumbledore remarked, smiling.
“I dislike how they’ve twisted our personalities into comedic gags,” Draco protested.
“You’re just mad that you’re played by a girl,” Ginny teased. Draco huffed and looked away. Harry re-entered the room.
“Okay, awkward silence,” He said, sitting down.
“I guess Draco’s kind of right, they make Harry such a jerk in the musical,” Ginny sighed, looking at him. They held eye contact for what seemed a little too long. Ron grinned at his sister and poked her in the ribs.
“So, are we gonna discuss the major elephants in the room?” Draco said, smirking, looking between Harry and Ginny, then Ron and Hermione.
“NOPE,” The Weasleys both protested, scooting themselves away from everyone else. Hermione was trying to make herself smaller, and Harry was sitting very still.
“Well,” Harry started, slowly, “The musical will address those things. I’m sure.” Draco scoffed, and quickly realized his mistakes as everyone remembered his part in Granger Danger.
“Got something to admit, Draco?” Ginny teased. The boy crossed his arms.
“May we begin once more?” The static came in once more.
“Hell yeah!”
