Remus
I groaned as I heard someone use magic on my door. The full moon had barely ended only a few hours before and someone decided then was the perfect time to confront me. I had all my wounds patched up, and was left with nothing but my thoughts and pillows to aid me in getting any sort of sleep, so the unwelcome visitor wasn’t appreciated.
“Wakey wakey, you fucking asshole.” Regulus called out as my bedroom door was slammed shut. I groaned and lifted my head up to see a very angry looking Regulus. I shoved my face a bit further into my pillows.
“What do you want Reggie? Did something happen?” I grumbled. I felt a weight on my back and I hissed as I realized it was Reggie as a cat. I turned my head and saw his ice blue eyes staring at me only an inch from my face.
“Yes, actually. You were wrong! He noticed, and he was fucking hurt. You need to fix it, I know you won’t be in the right shape to see him tomorrow, but you should have told him before. He should have known before.” Regulus shifted back, sitting next to me on the bed.
“He noticed?” I turned my body and looked up at Regulus who was looking at his hands. “Reggie what happened last night? Please tell me, how was he?”
“He was heartbroken. Remus I watched him get to the top of those steps and look down, I watched his heart shatter. He tried to save face, but everyone had already seen his reaction. He wasn’t looking for James, Lily, Peter, or myself. He was looking for you.” He turned to look at me, tears running down his cheeks in the morning sun.
“I thought, I don’t know what I was thinking. I’ll fix it tomorrow, I promise. I’m in too much pain to attend tonight, apparently you and the wolf agree on something. I hurt Sirius and I knew it even before I did it. I left him on those stairs alone. Please when you see him tonight, after the ball. Tell him to come to my room?” I pleaded.
“I’ll tell him. Want to see Teddy, while you rest? Poor boy is sad and won’t stop asking for his Papa.” Regulus motioned something and the door creaked open. I heard the giggling of my son before I felt him be placed in my arms.
“Always wanna see my pup. O fy nghi bach, dwi wedi dy golli di.” I kissed the little boy's head. My son laughed happily as he wrapped his tiny arms around my neck. “I promise I’ll talk to him as soon as the ball is over and he wants to talk to me.”
“I’ll tell him, like I said. Get some rest, you look like shit and James here had already told me it was a bad night.” Regulus stood up, bidding me goodbye before James and him left to get ready for the last day of Sirius’s ball.
