“Hello Master i’m so glad to finally meet you in person”
“Master?..... Wait, who are you and how did you get past my words and into my home?”
“Hmmm yes of course you’d have questions. Well Harry I am Death and I am here because you called me.” was the short answer Harry received which okay let's be honest only led to more questions.
Pinching his nose and taking a deep resigned breath because it was going to be one of those conversations he asked his next question” And you call me Master why Death?”
“Because you fulfilled the necessary requirements”
“Which are?”
“Well you collected all of the hallows for starters”
Shaking his head in denial “That's not it please tell me that's not all because that mean that anybody could have become the master of death and been able to summon you. Fuck what if Voldemort had collected that's a fucking scary ass thought tell me that's not it Death!” Harry exclaimed a little pissed and completely baffled that an all powerful entity like Death could have been so stupid.
”No that's not it” Death huffed “ I am not an idiot okay you must also not seek to use any power you may gain in any way that would lead to the death of others unless in defence of oneself or others. You didn't even know you would be gaining the power and if you had known you would have probably said no so you were perfect in that way too.”
“Okay” Harry said relaxing at that “ That's good imagine if it had been voldemort and he had summoned you to help in the war we would all be fucked aha”
“Yes, which is why they are requirements and the final one is to greet me like an old friend. To be okay with dying and even if scared, accept it and not try to make yourself immortal or try to hide from me and you Harry greeted me with no fear and open arms every time you were close to entering my realm so you are now the Master of Death.”
“So what does being the Master of Death mean for me I mean I don't think you really need somebody telling you how to do your job you have been doing just fine by yourself for ever”
“Honestly Master, it's just a way for me to have a companion and friend. It is kind of lonely being by yourself for pretty much all of eternity. Plus I have always found mortals interesting and you give me a way to come to earth for visits outside of my job so I can experience what life on this planet is all about. In return you get a boost in your power and can’t die until I die which will be at the end of time itself.”
“And if I don't want to be immortal Death. If I want to move on and see my family?”
“You can’t die Harry. But you have the stone, you can call your family to you at any time and talk to them and interact as if they were alive. They just can’t eat or drink and only really interact with people you let them. Its not perfect I know but I tried to make the situation as best I can for you really I did.”
“I don't want to live forever though Death. Just look at how the wizarding world treats me. I can't live like that forever and the muggle world would be so much worse.”
“ So you’d be happy if you had somewhere you could live that wasn't the wizarding world that you could use your magic in and wouldn't stand out as much in Master?”
“Well yes, but that's not really possible is it?”
“ I am Death. I can do as I please . Of course it's possible, we'll just move you to a new world. Similar to this one i think so you have less to adjust to and well have to prepare so you have all or you money and properties with you. Yes, that could work. I'd say we should be able to relocate you in about a week. Would that be alright with you Master?”
