Malfoy Family

You leaned on the shoulder of your older brother, who was holding a book that your mother had given her, he was reading you one of the parts in a low voice, avoiding that his parents could notice that you were still awake. Your legs were trembling, you had not behaved at dinner with your father's important friends as he expected, and he did not hesitate as soon as they left to take a leash to hit you hard, even though your brother begged for the blows to be given to him.

You were really just an 11 year old girl. You just wanted to play a little and it went wrong... your mother looked at you with that expression she looked at you with every day, as if she wanted to say something but never did. You shook your head to clear your mind and kept listening to your older brother's sweet voice.

“Soul mates are those people who are destined to be with each other for eternity. When you have them in front of you or near you, you will realize that the threads of fate will entangle them both, thus showing you who is the person that should be by your side.” Draco read.

“So... I'll have a soul mate too?” Draco laughed at your question and nodded.

“Sure, we both will. Then so we can go away from dad and have a family.” You snorted at his comment. “What's the matter, what's making you mad?”

“I wouldn't want to wait that long...I want to live a happy life with you, brother.” Draco stroked your cheek.

“I'd like that too...” You hugged him tightly and they stayed hugging for a while.

The next day, your brother was supposed to take the train to Hogwarts, the school of wizardry that you had longed to enter, but being a year younger, you had to wait another year to get in with your brother, which made you really depressed. You didn't think you could stand much time with him. But there you were, next to your parents saying goodbye to your brother, you hugged him a little.

“There.” Lucius growled. “That's enough, Draco won't die. Let go of him and let him go.”

“I'm sorry daddy.” You apologized with your voice cracking. You turned away from your brother who looked at you sadly and started to walk away to get on the train.

A few minutes later, you felt something inside you begin to stir and a feeling you couldn't describe came over you. You watched as what seemed to be the end of two threads wrapped around your pinky finger, while your other hand a thread went in a direction you couldn't see. Was this what Draco was talking about, a thread of destiny?

You looked excitedly in all directions before your father started calling you to leave. Somehow, you felt a sense of relief knowing that maybe, next year when you attended Hogwarts and entered that wagon, you might find your soul mate.
