Chapter 3

Sirius remembered calling for Remus that night, desperate to know where his husband was as he tried to get his seatbelt unbuckled. He managed to get the damn thing off, then tried turning in mis seat, waning to get a better look at his children.
“Dad!” He heard Teddy sobbing. “S-she’s dea-ad! Ellen’s d-dead!”
Sirius felt his own tears coming to his eyes. He managed to turn around with difficulty. There was a pain in his upper leg, but he ignored it.
“No!” Sirius said firmly, grabbing his daughter’s bloodied hand and trying to find a pulse. “She’s alive! She has to be!”
There was no pulse, but that didn’t stop Sirius from hoping. He turned to the front again and tried looking for his phone.
“Remus!” He called, still unsure as to where his husband was. That’s when he heard it.
“s-stop!”
It was quiet and slurred, but it was Remus. Sirius tried looking through the cracked windshield but he couldn’t see him.
“Dad!” Teddy said, his voice thick from crying. “There’s a man coming!”
Sirius looked up from where he was looking for his phone to see a tall broad man approaching the vehicle. Sirius opened his door.
“Do you have a phone?!” He asked as the man got closer. “Please! I need to call 911! My daughter-“
His voice died when the man got closer. His pants were open, his penis hard and hanging out. Sirius felt dread over come him. He tried backing away towards the car, but the man grabbed his hair, smashing his face into the side of the car. Teddy was screaming again.
“Don’t fucking move or I’ll kill your parents!” The man yelled at Teddy, then dragged Sirius over to the ditch. That’s when he saw Remus.
His pants were around his knees, exposing him. He saw sobbing and shaking as he tried to move off of his stomach. Sirius could see he was in pain. The man threw Sirius next to Remus, then pulled a gun out of his pocket, pointing it at them.
“I want to watch.” The man said. Sirius couldn’t process what the man was saying.
“W-what?”
The man chuckled. “I’m assuming you’re the bottom? By unprepared his ass was its most definitely you.”
Sirius still didn’t understand. He was too focused on his husband crawling towards his. Sirius grabbed his face, looking over him. Remus looked miserable, he looked in pain.
“Get on with it!” The man snapped, waving the gun again.
Sirius shook his head. “I-i don’t-“
“Do I have to spell it out for you?!” The man shouted, bending down and gripping Remus’s hair and turning his face towards him. “Fuck him before I put a bullet in both you and your kids!”
Sirius felt dread over take his body. He stared at Remus, seeing the same look in his eyes. This man was trying to ruin them, to stain the most private part of their relationship. Sirius didn’t want to, and neither did Remus, but their children’s lives were on the line.
Swallowing the lump in his throat, Sirius unbuckled his pants with shaking hands and pulled them off, exposing himself, and laying back in the cold wet grass. Remus climbed on top of him. He was shaking and crying. Sirius hated to see him like this.
Remus wasn’t hard. Sirius saw him trying to work himself up, but it wasn’t working. The man was growing impatient.
“B-baby,” Sirius whispered, bringing his hand up to Remus’s face. “You have to get hard.”
Remus shook his head, sobbing. “I c-cant!”
Sirius reached down and began stroking him.
“Pretend we’re not here,” Sirius whispered, tears falling from his eyes. “Pretend it’s just you and me.”
It took a second, but Remus was hard enough to push into Sirius. Sirius laid his head back and looked up at the night sky. His daughter was dead in the car, his son was there alone, crying and in pain. His husband had been raped and now was forced to have sex in front of this pervert while a gun was being pointed at them. Sirius cried as Remus thrusted into him. He knew Remus couldn’t, but he wished he’d stop. He kept reminding himself the Remus was being forced too, but it just hurt so bad, both mentally and physically. He could hear the perverted man panting as he jerked himself off. Sirius sobbed, breathing was becoming hard. Remus pressed his forehead to Sirius, panting and sobbing.
“‘M sorry!” He cried to his husband. “I’m so sorry, Sirius!”
Sirius shook his head. He couldn’t deal with Remus’s words at the moment. Remus groaned, giving one final thrust as he climaxed. He pulled out and pulled Sirius up to his chest, kissing the top on his head and sobbing.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I love you, I’m sorry,” he kept repeating. Sirius looked over Remus’s shoulder and saw that the man was gone.
Frightened that he might have gone to Teddy, Sirius quickly stood, pulling his pants up and running to the car, ignoring the pain.
“Sirius!” Remus called, trying to get up, but falling to his knees in pain.
Sirius got to the car, relieved to see the man nowhere in sight. Teddy had unbuckled and held his sister, sobbing into her neck. Sirius pushed everything out of his mind, grabbed his phone off the ground, and called 911

Sirius stared at the ceiling, laying on the couch in the dark, needing to sleep but not wanting the nightmares to come to him. His back aches from the uncomfortable cousions, and part of him missed his bad terribly. But the other part of his wouldn’t be able to stand Remus’s face if he asked if he could sleep in the bed alone because sleeping so close to him made his nightmares worse.
The door to the bedroom opened and Remus came out, going to the kitchen and turning a light on, making Sirius wince at the brightness.
“Sorry,” Remus mumbled, filling the tea kettle and putting it on the stove.
Sirius threw the blanket off of him and stood, going into the kitchen. Remus was grabbing himself a mug and picking out a tea. Sirius bit the inside of his cheek.
“Mind if I join you?” Sirius asked. “Can we have tea together?”
Remus didn’t look at him. He shrugged. “Do whatever you want.” He mumbled. Sirius hesitated, but then grabbed his own mug and picked out a tea bag. Remus picked up the kettle, pouring water in his cup, then Sirius’s. They both then went and sat at the table, across from one another. Neither said a word. Remus was looking down at his tea, blowing on it lightly. Sirius swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat.
“Remus,” he stared. “I don’t like this wall. I want things to go back. I want us to be happy with each other again.”
Remus didn’t look at him, but responded. “You put that wall there when you moved into the living room.”
Sirius shut his eyes. So, they were talking about it. “Remus, what happened that night was so traumatic,” he started, opening his eyes and looking at his husband, trying to choose his words carefully. “I never blamed you for what happened, but my body was violated that night, your body was violated. Us sleeping together in the same bed, especially after we tried to have sex again…. we both needed space to heal.”
Remus still wasn’t looking at him. He said nothing so Sirius went on.
“Regulus recommended us to a couples therapist. I said we’d go.”
That got Remus to look at him. “What?”
Sirius swallowed down his emotions. “Baby, we’re not doing good. We need to get batter for Teddy! We can barely look at one another! I just want us to be ourselves again and not flinch each time we touch!”
Remus was staring at him, his eyes full of emotions, good or bad, Sirius didn’t know.
Sirius sighed, tears falling from his eyes. “I miss you.” He whispered.
Remus looked down at his tea again. After a moment he stood and went back to the bedroom, leaving Sirius at the kitchen table, alone and missing his husband.
