It's But A Small Detour To Incheon

They two stilled outside the small town they'd stumbled upon, on their journey to Incheon.

Wooyoung's grip tightened a little, furthering his hold on Yeosang's hand. Yeosang squeezed back softly. Sending love and reassurance to Wooyoung. He tore his gaze from the structures that looked as if they'd seen war, to Wooyoung. His pearl black omega mate stared ahead. His Adam's apple bobbing. A heavy swallow. Yeosang could tell Wooyoung was nervous. And at first, Yeosang could not fathom why. Wooyoung was a fucking fierce warrioress when it came to taking out zombies. A true badass bitch. So what had his omega nervous now?

But then, his gaze fell to their interlocked hands. And he too, swallowed thick. He understood well, Wooyoung's renewed hesitancy. Wooyoung could lose him. Or the reverse. And that, wasn't a comforting thought. But Yeosang swore, he would fight just as fiercely for his omega. And while he'd been caring more about his medicine practice and become a doctor and finding a cure, he knew how to fight as well. There had been times when Wooyoung was in heat, Yeosang took out zombies just to get him enough food and water to make it through his heat cycles.

Yeosang softly shuffled closer, and pressed a nuzzling soft kiss along his jawline, "I'm here, Woo. I'll always be here. Your alpha's not going so soon. I'll fight until my last breath beside you."

Wooyoung nodded, before he finally tore his gaze from the buildings to gaze into Yeosang's eyes, "I know."

Yeosang gazed back a moment. With a soft smile, he gently let Wooyoung's hand go. Before wrapping his arm around his waist, and pulling him closer. He leaned in, and softly nuzzled him, "Don't let it be a fear you have, Woo. Let me be your strength, as you are mine. Together, we can fight long and hard. We'll be okay. Trust in that. I have the cure."

Wooyoung spoke, "And if one of us has to be cured, it's you." He shook his head, "Don't be trying to deny it. You know how to make the stuff. So you need to survive."

Yeosang hummed, "I agree. But, I'm still not losing you." He tilted his head and leaned in, voice growing low and hoarse as he whispered, "Not after I finally have you as mine." Wooyoung hummed, eyes darkening even as his mouth watered. Yeosang whispered once more, "Should have fucked you at that military base last year."

Wooyoung smirked as he answered just as softly, "Wish you had, as well."

Yeosang hummed, before he caught Wooyoung in a tender yet greedy kiss. Wooyoung moaned softly, hands now gripping Yeosang's tank top in a death grip. Purring softly, as their kiss grew in intensity. Each eager and hungry for more. To taste, and to memorize one another's soft touch and taste. To softly mark their territory. Leaving no mistake Wooyoung was no innocent omega. Nor was Yeosang chaste. After softly breaking their kiss off, Yeosang gently rest his forehead on Wooyoung's. He smiled softly, staring into his eyes. Love and lust mixing well together in his dark gaze, "Gods above, I love you."

Wooyoung grinned, catching his breath, "I love you. And our missing mate."

Yeosang smirked, but didn't argue. Having soothed Wooyoung, they returned to head in to the small town. They were mostly here for supplies, if they could. Maybe a night, if necessary. But then, they had to press on. They had to get to Incheon. Yeosang wanted to make more cure serums, without anyone else really knowing. Plus, he wanted to see the virus mutate into its next variant. And study it.

Together, they entered the small town.

//

They remained very silent as they stepped into the town.

It wasn't a large town. Maybe a fraction of the size of a normal city. And certainly a very small version of the bigger metropolises like Busan, and Seoul. It had a large convenience store near the center. And that, was where they hoped to go. Now true, it was likely picked clean. But they had to hold out there was something. Just enough to get them the rest of the way to Incheon.

They remained slowly and cautious, checking around every corner. But the thing was, Wooyoung refused to let Yeosang's hand go. He was holding it with all his strength. And Yeosang, didn't mind. If it brought some reassurance and comfort to Wooyoung, then so be it. He probably would do the same, if their positions were reversed. The big question they had to ask at present, how many zombies were roaming the area? It wasn't large by any means. So they may have already migrated elsewhere. But, how many lingered? Locked away in homes and stores to try and survive alone, only to fail? Yeosang held the barrel of his rifle gun, ready to use it as a club. Both he and Wooyoung were not yet ready to use them for their intended purpose. After all, they didn't have much ammunition. And besides, they wanted to save them for the right occasion.

And this, wasn't that.

Wooyoung's ears moved, his gaze narrowed and determined. And Yeosang felt a smile come to his face. There was his gorgeous warrioress omega. Ready for a fight. Yeosang tried not to distract Wooyoung, but Yeosang wouldn't have minded letting his omega get some praise for it. Maybe later. After a few, Wooyoung spoke in a low tone. Indicating that he wasn't willing to attract the wrong kinds of attention, even if the threat was currently minimal, "I can hear them. Mostly hissing and snarling. Some groaning. But nothing major. I don't think they know we're here yet. And it's still the very early stages of spring." He looked up to the deep, and rather cold grey cloud cover overhead, "The air is still. So I don't think the scent of our being living breathing wolves, has reached them."

Yeosang nodded at this, voice equally low, "What do you suggest, babe?"

Wooyoung gave a face, before he turned to Yeosang, "You to never call me that again. I get it's a nickname and pet name for lovers like us, but I'm not sure it works. Keeping trying, though. We'll land on one I like." Yeosang smirked, appreciating Wooyoung's sass. Even as his omega pressed on, "We can relax a little. But keep our wits. And our guard up." He turned and gestured to the suitcase Wooyoung had procured him back in Anyang, "And you, keep that thing tight to your chest. You've got the cure. You're the only one who knows it. I even set everything on fire back at the old facility. I made sure only you know what it is. So you keep that thing tight to your chest. You cannot lose it."

Yeosang smirked, but nodded, "Of course. But, thank you for that love. I appreciate you ensuring no one else knows. We scrubbed that place clean of my research."

Wooyoung nodded, "Can't guarantee he won't go blabbing and get tested. But, you've got a head start. But then, who might believe him? And even, did he even make it out alive? There were zombies fairly close to the facility as we were leaving. They may have gotten him. He may not have turned, but he filled their bellies. We can't be certain." Wooyoung paused, and turned to look at Yeosang as he inquired, "Is it wrong of me to hope he was considered insane?"

Yeosang smiled softly, gently tucking one of Wooyoung's stands of hair from his face. He then gently cupped his cheek, and answered soft and sweet with him, "Of course not, love. It needs to be coveted. It's worth so much more than anyone can imagine." He leaned in and kissed Wooyoung softly once more, "We're not so lost we enjoy the death of others. But it doesn't mean we cannot hope it remains our little secret. Until we find the right pack we know we can trust with such valuable information. And the cure."

Wooyoung smiled softly, content and comforted from his thoughts. No, they were not yet dark enough. Nor were they not yet unafraid to do what they had to. That would not come without a proper captain at the helm.

Having decided the level of danger the area possessed, Wooyoung gently pulled Yeosang along to head for the convenience store. They could raid the homes later. And despite the clear threat of zombies in the area, Wooyoung felt relaxed enough. Yeosang smiled softly, as Wooyoung took to skipping a little. Swinging their hands together between them. If his omega was happy, Yeosang wasn't adverse to his shenanigans. It was harmless, really. And besides, it wasn't drawing anything to them as of yet.

Before long, they finally reached and entered the convenience store.

//

They stood in the entrance of the convenience store.

It was dark, almost a dark grey color gradient. If one had to describe the visual ambiance of the place. It was large, and slightly open. The cashiers and employees long gone. The shelves looking slightly ransacked, but not thoroughly. Yeosang's ear moved similar to Wooyoung's. Wooyoung turned to Yeosang, and whispered very softly, "There's one in here. But from what I can tell, locked somewhere."

Yeosang nodded, made sense to him. Slowly, they moved about the convenience store. Searching for any supplies they could. They did manage to find a few good food items worth bagging. And even new clothing. Not much, though. They both liked their military garb. They remained silent in their task. Unaware there were others in the store with them. And not just the zombie. But, they had yet to really cross one another.

After reaching the medicine section, Wooyoung leaned in and inquired softly so only Yeosang could hear, "Are medicines really good after they've gone past their expiration date?"

Yeosang sighed, "Technically speaking, no. It's very risky. It's basically putting poison in your system. But without them being mass produced anymore, we have few options. And since I was more inclined to make a cure, we're stuck with what we have. But thankfully, most medicines can be out a few years. So for now, we're safe to use these." Wooyoung nodded at that. Yeosang turned, and as he did he gently turned Wooyoung to face him. With a sultry smirk, Yeosang gently pinned Wooyoung against the shelving. Being careful not to make much noise. He then continued, whispering now hot on Wooyoung's throat. A throat he yearned to mark as his, "Why, think you're expecting already? I didn't lock you, you know."

Wooyoung smirked, arms around his neck. His fingers gently toying and tugging on Yeosang's loose hair. He replied, even as he hooked his legs on Yeosang's hips, "No. Just wanted to make sure we weren't getting poison."

Yeosang hummed, eyes dark with growing lust. His hands gripping the edge of the shelving behind Wooyoung as he pressed closer, ensuring not to accidentally drop his omega. And causing a scene, and sound. Enough to draw whatever attention may have been in the area. Yeosang spoke, mouth salivating once more. Eyes dark with growing lust, and sexual hunger. Now that he's had a taste, he was addicted, "I'm glad you're making sure."

Wooyoung smirked seductively, before Yeosang leaned in.

Wooyoung sighed softly, eyes closing as Yeosang caught him in a clearly hungry kiss. Fangs gently clamping down on his bottom lip. Ensuring Wooyoung knew just how much Yeosang was eager to fuck him. And perhaps, he would. Something kind of hot, fucking in an abandoned convenience store in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. Not exactly safe, but sometimes the body just wanted. Yeosang huffed softly, starting to grind a little. Showing a growing eagerness and desire for his omega. Perhaps now would be an excellent time to see if they could have silent sex. Well, quieter than before. While Yeosang would have loved to hear Wooyoung in full, he wasn't pressed for it.

Just as Yeosang moved to unleash his cock to get started on that desire, Wooyoung went stiff in his grip. The hair on the back of Yeosang's neck stood on end, and he softly broke his kiss with Wooyoung off. The cold metal of a knife point pressed into the back of his neck. Wooyoung saw but a flash of some rather peppery fiery reddish orange fur. But his focus was strictly on Yeosang. And his clear fear, without showing it much. Though Yeosang clearly saw it in his startling sapphire blue eyes. Yeosang did growl a little, angered by being stopped from enjoying their time alone. Ready to go off on this asshole. But, they were currently at their mercy. Even if Wooyoung could have grabbed their guns from where they were, loaded them, and fired. Yes, they kept their ammunition in their backpacks.

"What do we have here?"
