First Impressions
He had a few reasons why he'd come to Seoul, South Korea.
The first, was that he wished to visit his last surviving grandmother. It was best he had this opportunity before she was gone. Why his sisters refused to come, he wasn't sure. Ungrateful, perhaps? They were both alphas. So that may have something to do with it? He'd be living with her. And in a way, taking care of her. He'd be alerting his parents when she ultimately passed. What he remembered of his grandmother, she was a sweet elderly omega. And she may have had a pension for spoiling him a little more than his sisters. Must be an omega bond thing.
The second reason, he wanted to get more in touch with his Korean roots. Australia was nice, but he wanted to reconnect with his ancestry. It was never a bad thing, nor idea to do so. Best he learned what he could before it was left too far in the past and forgotten. He almost pitied his future nephews and nieces for not even understanding their connection to Korea. If he stayed in Korea, they would possibly visit him now and again, and he could pass his knowledge down to them. Their history retained. Though knowing his sisters as he did, they may not send them too often. Only when they were older, and could make their own choices would they possibly come visit him.
Such a shame, really.
Such rich history and culture, left to him to keep a hold of for future generations of his family.
His third reason, he'd been accepted into Seoul University. He was hoping to get a formal Korean education. He wasn't sure what passion he'd pursue, but he knew it would be something suitable for omegas. Likely in fashion or makeup. Or cooking. That was an option. And he did love to bake. But he knew Korea had a lucrative beauty business that was widely popular. Known as K-beauty. But Korean fashion wasn't slouching either. While it wasn't the fashion capital of the world. It was the fashion capital of Asia. He had until the end of his university to determine what he'd pursue for a career. And with his very unique looks, he may just become a gem any brand of whatever he chose would be fighting to work with.
He stuck out like a sore thumb.
His fourth reason to come to Korea, to escape the alpha "predators" back in Australia. He has lost track of the number of times he'd been groped, and fondled without his permission. Cornered and nearly violated in any number of ways. The trouble was, they were all meaty muscular alphas. And he'd always had a weakness for large meaty alphas. With big compact rounded muscles, and deep lines. Powerful builds and taller than him. For his own sanity and safety, he took up the opportunity to study abroad. And if this meant reconnecting with his Korean heritage, then it was a bonus.
But it wouldn't be an easy transition.
For starts, he was a male omega. A rarity in itself from what he's researched on Korea. The second, was his unique coat color. Apparently, even in Korea white and blond colored coats were a rarity. Often the target of mostly harassment. But also for salivating business wolves, wanting to use such rarity to give them a massive boost in their respective industries. He had a lovely pale golden white colored coat. Not to mention his fair complexion. Add on his wings of freckles beneath his eyes, and it was clear how much he did not fit in to those around him on the plane.
Also, he had a hard time understanding Korean. Another excellent reason to return to Korea. To ensure he knew to be more fluent in the language, and be bilingual. He knew such a trait was essential for making sales abroad. So his reconnecting with his heritage, would have the added benefit of learning Korean better. Both linguistically, and in writing. Hopefully, his grandmother could help him.
He was eager to learn.

The plane landed with little issue.
And despite the severe language barrier, Felix merely followed the rest of the passengers to wherever it was they collected their luggage. He would have to rely on good old technology to help him navigate Korea. To get to his grandmother's place, and start to work on his language skills. Once he had a better grasp, he could lose the technology for a small spell. At least, when it came to translations. He'd still use it for other things. Such as checking in back at home. He'd have to look up the time difference, just so he didn't call at the worst possible time.
He tried not to draw too much attention with his looks. He was still shy and wanted to be left alone. He'd only open up once he was more comfortable, and could speak and understand the rest of Korea. After grabbing his luggage, he turned to head for the new world of Korea. He should really check to see if his grandmother was coming to pick him up. But he knew she no longer had a license. Mostly due to her old age. He could take a taxi. But that meant interacting with a Korean, and having a severe language barrier between them.
So, the subway it was.
With his things, he left the airport and made to head to the nearest subway. He'd have to determine which one to take, that would get him as close to his grandmother as possible. Like any major metropolis, Seoul was large. Stepping outside, he could detect the clear temperature difference between Australia, and Korea. He was glad he'd worn a jacket on the plane. The damn things were always cold. He knew he'd adjust to Korea's climate well enough. After looking at the map in his phone, he turned to head for the subway.
He'd just reached the top of the stairs leading down to the subway, when his phone began to go off. He frowned as he looked to it. He opened his messages to see it was from his parents. He had expected them to be checking in with him. What he got, confused and maybe even frightened him. Love and farewell. What was going on back home? He'd get his answer very shortly.
Deciding to address their odd messages later, he turned to head down the stairs. Only to have many wolves rushing up towards him. Panicked and screaming. Some looking behind them. And that's when it hit him. A most unpleasant odor. He scrunched his cute face.
He was the ideal omega wolf. Small face, icy blue eyes, and soft complexion. The right chest and pup bearing hips that had seen many an Australia alpha's unwanted touch. Heart shaped lips, and small hands.
He couldn't understand anything being shouted, nor could he inquire what was going on. He doubted they'd understand his Australian accent. Instead, he remained rooted in the spot. Watching with growing fear, before he finally saw what was causing the others to run screaming. He saw ghastly and ugly looking wolves tackle any stragglers, and take chunks of their flesh. Eating them. Their ears and tails gone, gaping wounds. It didn't take him much to realize, they were zombies.
He's watched plenty of movies and tv shows about them.
Deciding to follow the crowd, Lee Felix turned and ran away as well. Even with his luggage still in his grasp. He didn't know where to go. But he decided the best thing he could do, was break away from the feast. He turned and made a decision that would lead to his survival, and his future alpha mate. He entered a building that was currently vacant. Mostly due to the fact everyone was running for their lives. From what little he could gage, it was an airport hotel. Accommodations. A staple most of the world with an airport. With the staff clearly gone, Felix made for any room he could get to. He'd have to lock it and stay there until the first few days had passed.
He'd have to be observant.
//
Upon reaching a room that smelled like a relatively inexpensive hotel, Felix closed and locked the door.
He would stay as safe as he could. He sighed. So, that was what his parents had said. Was it just in Korea and they were sure of his death? Or was it global? Considering he'd just landed from a flight, he doubted it was isolated to just Korea. It never was. This meant the government was likely to take forever to respond. When that happened, he wondered how any and all survivors would handle such a moment. Would the government even really have much power? With over half the population dead from one thing or another, they really had no reason to be a government.
That's what he often took away from those movies and shows involving zombies.
It was truly, every wolf for themself.
After he managed to calm down and sat on the bed, he took the time to think of his new situation. There was no returning to Australia. Not any time soon. He likely had lost his family. He would heal in time. If given the chance. The only issue, most of the survivors he'd meet would speak Korean. That was the only issue. No survivor group would take him on with such a heavy language barrier between them. Damn, and he was looking forward to so much. With a sigh, Felix decided he'd first block light from the windows. Best make it so no zombie could see him at all. He then went ahead and decided he'd get some sleep. Jetlag was still a bitch, even in the apocalypse.
He'd strategize come morning.
As far as first impressions went, this was likely the worst. He didn't necessarily blame Korea. The government wasn't responsible. Unless it was. But he doubted it. Though they could have been prepared in the event. It never hurt to be overly cautious about what may seem impossible. Well, he had a new life to live. One on the run and struggling to survive. Struggling to learn the language that would remain, and find a pack to join. This wasn't normally how packs formed, but nature said new ways had to happen.
He wondered what her reason for this outbreak was.
And only hoped she'd be merciful enough to grant him life as a normal wolf.
As he got as comfortable as possible, he did his best to block out the screaming going on outside. With his jetlag and the adrenaline crash from running earlier hitting him, he was quick to fall into a rather restful and deep sleep.
The last one for a while.
