A vampire! A bloody vampire! Severus Snape is a vampire and I don't really care. I mean, if he wanted to kill me he would have done it already. " I see. And what solution do you think to solve your dose problem without jumping on me in the third month ?" Snape looks at him dumbfounded. At last, all he had on his face was an impassive face that stared intently at the younger man in the hope of seeing his soul. But still did not answer.

The absence of Harry Potter and Severus Snape was felt when they did not appear at breakfast. Well, more Harry than Severus. The faculty figured he was still working on a potion. Except that the Slytherins were worried because normally their Head of House would spend some time with them in the common room to check their homework. And in the morning he would pop in with breakfast. But he hadn't done any of these things.

Minerva Mcgonagall, the head of the Gryffindor house had asked her fourth year lions after breakfast if he had their roommate. The answer she received was not at all pleasant. Neville Longbottom had said that Harry had not returned from the evening. Hermione Granger, who was passing by, added that he had a meeting with Headmaster Dumbledore last night after dinner. She sighs and lets them go to class. She decides to go to the principal's office on her break. Today she had a hole in her schedule.

The metamorphosis teacher knocked on the door of the Hogwarts principal's office. "Enter." He summons. "Oh Minerva what a good wind brings you." Albus Dumbledore greets her. "Albus..." She started. "Oh my where are my manners. Sit down, sit down. Lemon candy ?" He asks. She sits in the chair across from Albus' desk. "No thanks Albus. It's about Mr. Potter and Severus." He takes a lemon candy and puts it in his mouth. "Severus ?" He questions. "Yes, it was reported to me that he did not show up for his first class of the morning. And Mr. Potter not sleeping in the Gryffindor tower. Also Miss Granger informed me that Mr. Potter was in your office after supper. What's going on Albus ?" The principal sighs. "It is true that I summoned Harry and Severus last night. I wanted Severus to give him some Occlumancy lessons. After our discussion they both left my office. I have no idea where they went." He entrusts her with. "Two people can't just disappear without a trace. We have to find them, Albus." And with that she leaves his office to return to her classroom.

Once the shapeshifting teacher leaves the room, the director's face darkens. How could his pawns disappear under his nose? He hadn't spent so many years shaping them to have them in the palm of his hands and then overnight it all vanishes. None of the paintings he had diverted to be under his control had signaled the exit of anyone from the castle grounds. So that would mean they were still in Hogwarts but where. He couldn't feel their magical presence within the walls of Hogwarts either. Their disappearance was a mystery that was ruining the whole plan. And there was one thing he hated most about having his plans disrupted.

Hermione Granger frowned. The young witch believed she had absolute intelligence. Her grades were excellent and every teacher except the potions teacher congratulated her for her extraordinary IQ. She was even chosen by the great Albus Dumbledore to be the best friend of the savior of the magical world, The-boy-who-lived. Even though this task was starting to get on her nerves. She was graciously rewarded by the principal. To tell the truth, the splendid Harry Potter was not so brilliant in class, she found that he wasted her time when she tried to help him with Ronald. He too had the task of becoming Harry's best friend. Because together they formed the golden trio under the will of the principal of course. Nevertheless, today she was frustrated with the behavior of her best friend. How could he disappear and miss hours of class? Will the principal stop paying us if he's not here? Or could it be a plan by the powerful wizard for Harry and he hasn't told us about it yet. It should be that. The director never leaves anything to chance.

Ronald Weasley didn't care what happened to Harry. All he cared about was food and Quidditch. He was only paid to be his best friend, not his nanny. The savior could be dead or alive, all he cared about was the money the Headmaster gave him. But he didn't know how long he would last with Hermione. She is so behind them to do their duty. A real harpy. With Harry it was finally okay. He thinks he was not really conversing with them. Besides, he can't thank the principal enough for giving him the task of becoming Harry's best friend. Since Harry Potter came into his life, his family could afford to buy them new books, clothes, etc. He even received a Nimbus 2000 for his birthday. I wonder what's for lunch ?

They had been locked up in the cell for almost 24 hours. Each of them had found an occupation. Harry was reading one of the books Neville had given him and Severus had moved on to another book on potions. They read in quiet silence until the teenager spoke. "Professor?" He called out to him. The potions master looked up from his book to look him in the eye. He nods and motions for him to continue. "How did we get into this cell? I mean I stumbled down the stairs and you caught me and suddenly we were teleported here. And I know it's not because of a spell." He states. "There was a rune." Severus Snape reveals. "A rune ?" The youngest questions. The professor sighs. It is true that this subject has not been taught for years at Hogwarts. Dumbledore, when he became principal, removed it from the curriculum. "A rune is an ancient symbol into which you can insert magic and give it intent. The more powerful the wizard who writes the rune, the more powerful the rune. Also you need a special brush to draw them. Of course there have been wizards like Merlin who could draw them without a brush." The spy hits himself mentally. Now he's become the history teacher for the savior of the magical world. "I see. Thanks professor. But why..." Snape grunts. "Dumbledore." He cut Harry off. "Oh!"

There was a moment of silence when the young Potter returned to his thoughts. Severus thought he had found peace. But it was without taking into account a curious little lion who had a ton of questions. "Professor Snape ? I...hm...I" Harry hesitates. "Ask your question, Harry." He took a deep breath. "Why did you hate me, professor ?" Severus grunts mentally. "Harry, I don't hate you. It's just that your appearance reminds me of your bloody father." The student nods. "So if I understood correctly, you're hating me because I look like my father. You're telling me you're hating someone who didn't know his father. I don't know what my father did to you like that and still live in that memory. I'm sorry if I offend you or anything. But children have no responsibility for their parents' actions."

On this Harry returns to his book leaving a potion teacher frozen in his words.
