Three months. Three months where he will be stuck with Harry bloody Potter. It is true that he has a bad relationship with his student and that it is partly his fault. But in the name of Merlin. If he's going to be locked up, at least he shouldn't become a threat to the child. The room is completely sealed off from the outside world and only the people who imprisoned them would know about it. The cell houses all magical creatures in addition to wizards. It deprives them of their powers. Fortunately, this was an accident because they are allowed to use their magic without risk but without any effect on the cell. However, if you are cut off from the world, you have no food or water. Harry will not be able to survive 3 months here in his current state.
He sighs and leans against the wall, closes his eyes and crosses his arms. Snape didn't sleep, he had to for years. He was taking inventory of everything he had in his purse. The young Potter could last a month with his nutrient potions. He couldn't give him dreamless potions every time because they were addictive. He will not be able to stay in a magical coma either, there is a good chance that he will stay in one. He, on the other hand, has a rescue dose and can survive a month without it.
The professor opens his eyes and takes out the parchment describing the young man's condition. He pinches the bridge of his nose. How could this have happened under his nose? It would mean that he had not kept the promise he had made to Lily after her death. He was stupid enough to believe this manipulative old fool. I'm sure he'll excuse his actions by saying, and I quote, "It's for a greater good."
He just had to dig his claws into her chest and crush her heart with his hand. No, no, no this old fool deserves to suffer terribly. Slowly, slowly until there was no longer that sparkle in his eyes. On the other hand, Dumbledore was not at fault for not noticing. He was so engulfed in his hatred that he did not notice the different signs that the younger man had shown. Now that he thought about it, all the signs of child abuse were there. He, with his background, was disgusted with himself. He had fought so hard against it with his Slytherins. How could Minerva not see it? She's head of the Gryffindors' house. She had to look out for the welfare of her lions.
Severus searches his memory for all the times Mr. Potter's behavior should have tipped him off. He growls. He was in the wrong and he didn't like it. Not in the least.
It was now 15 hours since they were locked up and Harry had taken the potion without a dream. It must have been past 11:00 on the outside. The youngest begins to wake up little by little. It was for him the best night of all his life. He felt rested. When he opened his eyes a little confused it was dark and it didn't look like his dormitory in the Gryffindor tower. He frowned and then his mind cleared.
"Professor." Harry called. "Lumos. Yes, Mr Potter." Harry blinks a few times to get used to the light. He sat down with difficulty. He looks around the room for his teacher and finds him leaning against the wall. "Hm...thank you professor. It was the best sleep I have ever had." Snape simply nods. The young Potter feels his body still aching but less intense than yesterday. "Tempus." He says. He looks at the time with amazement. He had slept almost 15 hours. He never has such long hours of sleep. Then he frowns. Where did Professor Snape sleep if he gave me his cape? Don't tell me he slept on the floor. "No, Mr Potter, I didn't sleep on the floor." Harry looked at him incredulously. "And no, don't need to read your mind to know what you think." The youngest nods. "So where did you sleep, professor ?" Snape sighs. "I don't need to sleep, Mr Potter." Harry nods again. He was not used to his teacher being less surly. He had just had a conversation without him throwing jabs at his lack of intelligence, his arrogance or whatever.
"Professor, are you ill ?" Severus the reel from top to bottom. The-boy-who-lived swallows. It's as if he's being laid bare by the onyx eyes of his potions teacher. An agonizing silence settled between them making the young man uncomfortable. He began to fidget on the spot under the older man's gaze. "No, Mr Potter I am not ill." He finally says. Harry really didn't understand anything anymore. Until 16 hours ago, the Hogwarts potions master saw him as a bug that he would gladly crush. And now he was having a cordial conversation with him. Was he still sleeping? Was this all a figment of his imagination ? "Professor Snape, are there any escapees to this room ?" He aks shyly. "No." Severus Snape says with a growl. Then he looks at his green eyes and sighs. "We are stuck in an old prison cell for three months. No one from the outside can find us. Fortunately, as you have seen, we can use our magic." He explains. "I see. Not even the house elves can enter ?" He tries. "No, I already tried."
Harry sighs. He doesn't know if he'll be able to go three months without eating, maybe drinking with the aguamenti spell, and if he'll transfigure something into a drink. I think I could survive a month or more without eating. I'm used to going without food for a while.
"Will you be okay, professor ?" He asks worriedly. "I advise you to worry about your situation rather than mine." He declares in an icy tone. "I...I am sorry if I offend you, professor. I..." The young man stammers. "You didn't offend me, Mr Potter." How can he worry about me? He has no spirit of self-preservation.
Harry looks down and searches for one of the books Neville gave him for his birthday in his purse. Then he pulls out one of his shirts, or rather an old shirt of his cousin. He transforms it into a bench. This one appears just beside his professor of potions. The adult raises an eyebrow but sits on the bench anyway. "Thanks, Mr Potter." His lips curve in an indistinguishable smile. "You welcom, professor." Snape pinches the bridge of his nose. He had had enough time to think about how he was going to say it. "Mr Potter, no, Harry." The teenager observes him carefully. "There are some things I haven't said that you should know." Harry nods. "I am aware of your situation." The teenager looked at him afraid. "How ?" He had brought his knees closer to his chest and was starting to rock back and forth. "When you passed out, I noticed that you were swimming in your clothes and you were horribly thin. So I cast a diagnostic spell that made me recognize that I had you all wrong. I should never have taken the word of that old fool Dumbledore or let my hatred of your father blind me. I humbly apologize for my most abhorrent behavior. " Tears streamed down the young Potter's face. Severus sighs. He takes out a book on various rare plants from his purse and starts reading it while Harry calms down.
Harry calmed down after 10 minutes but continued to swing. "Are you ready to continue this conversation Harry ?" The respondent nods his head not trusting his voice. My first name sounds strange in Snape's mouth. But I prefer it to his "Potter!" with venom. "So as I told you we're trapped here for three months and I'm afraid it's going to make your health worse or even fatal. I can provide you with nutrient potions for a month. And I can go a month without my dose." The young Potter runs his hand through his hair trying to assimilate the information that his potion teacher has just given him. "I think I can make your potions last two months, professor. As you have seen I am used to being malnourished or even starving. And a man can survive a month without eating but not without drinking. So fortunately we have access to our magic to be able to use the aguamenti spell and transfigure a glass. But what do you mean by dose, professor ?" Severus looks him in the eye before sighing. "I wish you weren't used to being starved. I agree with you that a man can survive by drinking only water. And for your information Harry, I am a vampire."
