Prologue

Many people will learn about the war in their future History of Magic classes. But those kids will never be able to understand the ones who fought, loosing loved ones, sacrificing their homes, possessions, life to give a chance for others to live. And even if the main characters received a good ending, not all stories end well. Many families lost more than they won, and even if it was for the greater good, there were missing pieces that could never be replaced.

Children had to bare loosing their parents, siblings. Mothers and fathers had to witness their kids fall to the ground defeated, so much blood was spilled on that night that no spell could be able to cover it up.

Many suffered through ages of torture, most for something they couldn't even control. Something they could not do anything about. Madman and women killed too much just for their own good, people ended other people for the sake of their children, their family, their home.

Some couldn't win against the lurking demons inside their heads. Those fell into the endless spiral of pain without anyone to pull them out of the dark abyss about to consume them. Those have ended their lives. Those had no one attending their funeral. Those had no flowers on their graves. Not only the Wizard community lost their people, but for their mistakes, muggles had to pay the price. The Minister felt guilt, the Ministry was in ashes. No workers were willing to get back to work after the dictatorship of the Death Eaters. After they were tortured, starved, overworked, threatened, killed, misguided, and pained.

But the world still kept turning, people had to get themselves together and try to continue. They had to rebuild whatever they could but not everything was meant to be replaced. There were gashes and holes in the new system, and even if the new leaders tried to fix the broken, they didn't actually know what they were doing.

And that was it. Nothing more. Just many poor, wounded people trying to help each other. At times like such, teamwork is very valuable. Most Wizards learned to overcome their differences in such a situation and work together, trying to accomplish the perfect existence that was never meant to become real.

Families picked up where they left off. Everyone was glad to see each other alive. The spirit was back, all sins forgiven, all mistakes realized. For some, obviously. But does that mean that all secrets must be revealed? That is what some people searched the answer to.

A devoted help was William Weasley, a once amazing curse breaker at home from Egypt once again to pick up the pieces his people left. An incredible student, a smart, talented man. He undertook the situation alongside with Charlie Weasley, a wonderful Quidditch player with an odd leveled liking towards dragons.

Their parents, Molly and Arthur Weasley participated in multiple campaigns to help the ones that required it the most. Both of them were kind and loving with two open arms to embrace the people who needed support.

Ginevra and Ronald Weasley volunteered to work at hospitals and shelters. Both kids were scarred and hurt but still managed to bring a smile on people's faces. Ron was a very great keeper, a man made to be an auror, while Ginny was an excellent Quidditch player destined to be among the best.

George Weasley was a grieving survivor, still crying out the name of a man who'll never come back to him again. His other half, the one who swore to stay with him forever. A piece of him that could never be replaced.

Fred Weasley was an exceptional man. A boy who's mind was always full of mischief, and his top priority was to entertain. A brilliant, intelligent person with great ideas and awesome plans. He was meant to achieve his goals. Yet, faith had other plans for him. He inhaled his last breath at a loud, cold, dirty hall, still happy, with a smile on his face. Why was live so cruel?

Ever since then, George had to cope with the world's problems alone. Before the war he had his twin to support him but now every burden was placed on his shoulders. How could he possibly bear all this stress? He planned on reopening his shop but he found himself having no motivation at all. George only felt anger. A burning sensation gathering in his chest, in his throat, in his whole body waiting to be let out. He didn't understand why he felt like that. But he was mad. But at who? That was the question he was trying to find the answer to.

There were many words to describe Percy Weasley but joyful was never one of them. Not before, nor after the war. His face didn't mirror any emotions, not before his brother's corpse, nor at his funeral. When no one was watching he wept. Quietly. He was the only one who knew how it happened. No one forced him to speak about it, which made him mad. Didn't they think he was selfish for not telling them? He was tired of the pity. People around him thought he wasn't capable of doing anything anymore.

'Percy dear, do you need help with that?' Molly asked, looking over towards her son, her voice full of worry. Percy looked towards his mother, and stopped in his tracks. He forced a small smile on his face.

'No thank you mother since it is next to me, and my hands work perfectly fine,' he replied, grabbing the book from the table. He'd been very furious about this. But in the end, he knew it wasn't her fault.

It's been really hard on him. He had to learn all types of charms to carry himself around, bath, and supply himself, plus he was practically useless without his wand which made him even more angry. Why did it have to be this way? Why was he so difficult? Percy had a hard time adjusting, and his family's behavior towards him didn't help. Percy wanted to be happy, he craved joy and love. Something he wasn't sure he deserved anymore.
