A Daily Occurence
"The Boy Who Lived saved the whole world!" was the headline to every single article. Harry was getting tired of it. It was heartwarming at first but as time passed it became overly irritating. He was getting all the attention again even tho he didn't accomplish things alone (as always). No one complained about this expect him which angered him to no end. Were people that used to being overshadowed? He expected Ron or Hermione to be mad about it but neither of them were. They looked rather relieved. Was it from the war? He couldn't decide.
The Weasley household was unusually silent. However, they were used to this by then. It has been going on ever since the war. There wasn't really anyone who'd try to lighten up the mood anymore. Molly and Arthur tried at first but after they saw that it didn't help, they eventually stopped. What were they expecting? The family was still mourning. All mirrors and family pictures were covered, the grandfather clock was broken. George broke it after coming home from the funeral. He couldn't look at it anymore.
Arthur sat in the kitchen with coffee in hand. He was reading yet another article about the amazing Harry Potter, however he didn't seem bored or annoyed. He looked like he was reading about muggle technology which in his opinion was still the most awesome thing in the world.
Ginny was talking with Ron while preparing breakfast for themselves. They were discussing things about Quidditch and spoke some brief information about school too. Neither of them wanted to go back after this but they had to, so that they could take their finals.
Hermione read. She had been reading for at least a week now. She began a really long book-series and couldn't put it down after she began. No one bothered her about it. She tried sharing it with others multiple times but quickly noticed how no one was interested, so she eventually dropped it.
The peace was interrupted by some footsteps. They seemed hurried and angry. Then George appeared in the kitchen's doorway, and he looked furious. Arthur looked up from the newspaper. A hint of pity flashed on his face but it all disappeared and was replaced by a calm face.
'Good morning George. How did you sleep?' he asked, trying to sound casual. The Weasley twin shook his head, then furiously looked around.
'Where's Percy?' he growled, anger evident in his voice. Arthur raised his eyebrows but didn't question it. Instead, he looked around himself and shrugged.
'I don't know dear, why don't you ask your-'
'I'm here George. What seems to be the problem?' the mentioned Weasley appeared in the hallway, sitting on a set of drawers. George immediately turned around and grabbed his brother by his collar earning a surprised squeak.
'You... You bitch!' he shouted. Percy's face didn't mirror any fear but inside he was truly freaking out.
'W-what's wrong? What did I do?' by then, the people from the kitchen already gathered and were watching the scene fearfully.
'Where is his jumper?' he breathed out, looking like an animal. Percy slightly raised his eyebrows.
'Who-?'
'WHERE IS HIS JUMPER?!' oh. Percy understood what his brother was searching for but still had no clue on why he was searching it on him! He tried to stay calm and reply as nicely as possible.
'I don't know,' however, that seemed to make George even more angry.
'What do you mean you don't know?! You were the last one in my room yesterday! WHERE IS IT?!' his voice cracked. Was he about to cry? Percy didn't know.
'It's in the washing basket,' Ginny replied. Thank God... Percy let out a relieved breath as George finally dropped him.
'What?' the twin looked embarrassed.
'Mum collected clothing from around the house and folded it into the basket,' she slowly explained. George didn't even hesitate. He began to make his way towards the bathroom, not even muttering an apology.
Percy adjusted his collar, then put his back against the wall.
'You okay Perce?' Arthur asked with a little hint of worry in his tone. The younger Weasley nodded.
'Yes, I'm perfectly fine Father, thank you for asking,' he replied, not sounding too convincing. However, Arthur let it go and instead offered to carry Percy to the couch which he gladly accepted. After they left the hallway, Ginny looked over to Ronald who looked puzzled.
'What's wrong?' she muttered, not daring to raise her voice.
'We'll have to do something about these two,' Ron stated, 'Ever since they reunited they don't get along. George bashing out on Percy became a daily occurrence!' he groaned. Ginny nodded.
'Yea but what can we do?' she sighed sadly. Ronald furrowed his brows.
'I don't know, but we'll have to think of something as soon as possible, before George ends up strangling him,' a moment of silence passed between them and suddenly, Ginny snapped her fingers.
'I know!' she exclaimed. Her brother turned towards her curiously.
'What do you have in mind?' Ginny let a smirk on her face.
'This may not work but even if it won't, it'll still be very interesting...'
