Hogwarts

The beginning of the school year passed Carina by in a sickening haze. She constantly dreaded going to Hogwarts and she wished for hours every night that she could stay at school with the rest of her year, instead of for some unknown reason being forced to go to Hogwarts with the rest of the sixth years. The only glimmer of hope that she could find was that she would be reunited with two of her favourite people: Draco Malfoy and Luna Lovegood. The former was her cousin whom she often spent a significant amount of time with during the summer holidays, and who also always accompanied her to events in Pureblood high society, such as balls and dinners. The latter Carina considered her sister, Regulus was made by Luna's Godfather by Luna's mother Pandora who was a great friend to Regulus, and due to this the two of them frequently saw each other something that Carina thoroughly enjoyed, seeing a younger version of herself in the girl. The fact that she would see these two people and the desire to not be separated from Fleur were the only reasons that Carina did not refuse to go.

At last, the day had arrived, Carina fully packed her trunk and said goodbye to the stunning palace that she had grown to love. With a heavy heart she boarded the carrriages that would take them to Scotland. Immediately, she put on her Pureblood mask. She knew that her arrival would cause a stir with many of the students, specifically the Purebloods as their so called 'Princess' would be taking her first steps in Hogwarts. Throughout the whole journey, she sat in absolute silence, this slightly concerned Fleur however the Veela knew that there was nothing she could do make Carina feel better.

After several hours, the horses came to a halt and landed at Hogwarts. The air was decisively colder than that at Beauxbatons, and Carina despised this. She despised how her mind couldn't stop wandering to her father: would he recognise her or would he simply ignore her entire existence as he had done throughout her whole life. Stepping out of the carriage, she finally saw the castle for the first time properly and, merlin, her uncle had not done it justice. Though she would never admit this, Carina truly thought that the castle was perhaps the most beautiful thing that she had ever seen.

Then Madame Maxine got their attention, they all knew that it was time to show everyone the presentation they had prepared. Carina took her place at the back with Fleur, Gabrielle and Madame Maxine. The doors to the Great Hall opened widely, the Beauxbatons students started their presentation by making blue butterflies dance around the hall. Finally, Carina came out at the very end, her head held extremely high, looking down nose at everyone a mask of indifference on her stunning face, a collective gasp encoded throughout the hall specifically from the Slytherin table who were all shocked at seeing their Pureblood Princess at Hogwarts. Carina payed no notice to this though instead choosing to focus on the task at hand.

Harry watched with the rest of the school as Beauxbatons made their entrance, however one girl at the back specifically stuck out to him. She was the most beautiful girl that he had ever seen, with dark curly hair, flawless make up and striking grey eyes, that made her look uncannily similar to someone that Harry knew, but for the life of him could not quite place. He was then even more intrigued because when she entered the entire Slytherin table gasped and seemed to be following her every move. Harry looked at Draco who seemed to be staring in shock at her, and Harry hated this, despising that his arch nemesis, the man that he despised was starring at the peculiar girl.

Carina then took her seat at the Slytherin table next to Draco with Fleur sat at her other side while the rest of Beauxbatons went to sit with, as Dumbledore and Madame Maxine gave each other a warm welcome. She had a look around at the Great Hall, noticing how it seemed extremely divided between houses. She watched politely as Durmstrang entered the Great Hall, however she refused to clap as she was thoroughly unimpressed with all of them. After a few minutes, the hall drifted into silence.

Dumbledore then went to make an announcement, "Welcome all to the Triwizard Tournament, this tournament will consist of three tasks that will all be highly dangerous, due to this the Judges have enforced an age line, only students above 17 will be able to enter. Those who want to enter must place their name and school and enter it into the Goblet of Fire before this time tomorrow night. Have a wonderful feast."

Carina then looked at the food that appeared in front of her and decided to start eating.

Before she could do so she was interrupted by the sound of her cousin's voice, "So Carina, what reason are we blessed with the honour of your presence, if I am not mistaken you are not yet 17, why are you with us?"

"For once you are not mistaken dear cousin, and to answer your question I am here because Madame Maxine wanted me here, do you all understand?" she snarled in response, raising her voice at the last few words to make sure that everyone heard her, but Draco knew that she wasn't being rude, to him at least. "Anyway, allow me to introduce you both. Draco this is Fleur my best friend, Fleur this is Draco, my cousin."

"Ravi de vous rencontrer." ("Pleasure to meet you.") Fleur replied in response.

"Likewise." Draco said taking her hand and gently kissing it, in formal and proper Pureblood greeting.

While they were having this conversation, an entirely different one was taking place at the teacher's table. James Potter and Sirius Black, who were both aurors stationed at Hogwarts for the school year in order to help with the Triwizard Tournament, were staring at the three children seated at the Slytherin table.

"Who do you think that is?" James asked his best friend.

"I'm not sure."

"She looks a bit like you Padfoot."

"Yeah Prongs, I guess she does, we have the same eyes."
