The Last of wizards.

The backlash of the Triwizard tournament went to every magical country in the world. Beauxbatons and Dumstrang also took a hit to their reputation a bit. Igor Karkarott was murdered in his home by the death eaters.

France had stopped all trade with England due to the endangerment of the ministers daughters and how they were treated during their stay for the tournament,

The MACUSA would for now keep their trade with England but one wrong move and their trade will rest of the world would follow suit but told England to stay out of their affairs and the same with them.

/Longbottom manor, lanchester, July 2nd, 2013/

Neville Longbottom wiped his brow of sweat from working in his greenhouse, it's been a few days since he got home from hogwarts. Right next to him is the daily prophet showing Sirius Black being cleared of all charges related to the death of the Potters and Pettigrew by the ICW.

The article underneath it read.

"BRITIAN KICKED OUT OF ICW."

"Due to the incompetence of Minister Fudge and the rest of magical Britian. The mistreatment of Harry Potter, magical creatures, Muggleborns, Halfbloods and Squbs, the ICW has decided to kick Britian out until we grows up as a society. As of now, Britain stands alone. If our problems spill over our borders, the rest of the world will take appropriate action. The French had ceased all trade with us due to the endangerment of the French ministers daughters suing the Tournament."

What made Neville even mad was the paper written by Skeeter showing Harry's bounty for the murder of Cedric when it was Voldemort who killed him. The ICW told Fudge that if he sends any aurors after Harry who has gone to the states. The Americans will see it as an act of war.

The Patil twins will be going to school in India close to their family. Most of the other schools rejected transfers. The replies would simply state that they didn't think their children were suitable to come to their schools. It was stated that their programs were built on mutual respect and tolerance to create a better learning environment. This was a trait the Hogwarts' students had proven they didn't possess. From what he heard from Ginny by letter is that Ron and her mother were banished from the house due to the thefts from Harry's vault.

Hermione's punishment was still to be decided from what he heard from Susan's aunt.

/at least Harry finally got away from Hogwarts…I wonder if Grandmother would approve of me getting trained by Alastor Moody./ thought Neville. A pop is heard and Nippy. The longbottom elf appeared

"Master Neville. Your grandmother wishes to see you in her study," said Nippy.

"Thanks nippy." Said Neville. He leaves the greenhouse and towards the longbottom ancestral home. The two story manor had a Norse style to it as the Longbottom family are descendants of Vikings from ancient Nordic which are now known as Denmark and Norway. Neville entered by the side entrance. The entrance hall was about the size of a house. Ancient Viking armor holding axes and swords stood tall near the wall, a dark red banner with a bear on it was on both walls. The bear is the most important symbol of their family due to their rich nordic history. Just like the Gryffin is for the Potter family.

Neville entered his grandmother's study to see her with Hannah and her father. Also present was Susan and her aunt Amelia with Sirius Black and Remus Lupin . No surprise Lord Abbott is here since Hannah and him are betrothed that was signed by his grandmother and him when they turned eleven.

"Lord Abbot and Black. Lady Bones…Professor" said Neville,

"I've not been your professor for about a year now Neville." Said Remus

"So. You were the best one besides the fake Moody, Quirrel and Lockhart." Said Susan.

"How the hell did Albus not know that Moody was a fake this whole time and the fact it was Crouch's son." Augustus said darkly,

"There are a lot of things that happened at Hogwarts that have come to light and us believing in Albus thay the issues were resolved. We were all fools to believe him" said Amelia.

"We all were Amy. I lost twelve years of my life due to that man," said Sirius.

"I agree.. Hogwarts is no longer the place we once thought it to be…the Sorcerer's stone, a Basilisk, Dementors and now this tournament, Amos son was murdered and lord potter is being blamed for it," said Augustus

"Is he okay?" Asked Neville.

"He's fine…he is with his Uncle Joel in Texas, Joel married James' little sister and her daughter Sarah is a spitting image of Chelsea. I just learned from a mirror call by Harry that she went through the Animagus transformation and has taken the form of a Gyrfalcon. Chelsea would be so proud." Said Sirius.

At the mention of Animagus did Neville look at his grandmother and she said, ", you can show them."

"Show us what?" Asked Remus.

Thankfully his grandmothers office was big enough for what he was about to do. Neville then morphed into a black grizzly bear .

"Holy shit!" Said Sirius seeing Neville's transformation. The bear then transformed back into Neville who grinned.

"I was surprised too by his transformation. He underwent his transformation in Hogsmeade." Said Augustus,

Susan and Hannah knew what she was talking about. It was only two weeks ago since the incident in Hogsmeade.

/Flashback/

Neville and Hannah were out on a small outing in hogsmeade. Dumbledore allowed the students to come here to get away after the news of the death of Cedric Diggory.

"So where is the first stop Nev?" Asked Hannah.

"Well, I promised Luna I'd pick her up some more parchment, ink and quills to replace that which was either damaged or stolen from her. And I need more, as well," Neville replied.

"Sounds good. That would be Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop at the other end of High Street," replied Hannah. "Let's go."

After picking up the required stationery needs for Luna, the two then headed for the hogs head to meet up with Susan. She was waiting for them inside the bar. The owner was nowhere to be found. Susan, like most of the Hufflepuffs, is still mourning the death of Cedric Diggory.

The two sat next to her in the booth and a bartender brought them a butterbeer. The three did a toast in memory of Cedric and took a drink.

"Poor Harry, he can never get a break" said Susan.

"I know…I think he went to hole himself up in the Chamber of Secrets." Said Neville. He didn't know that he had left the castle with the greengrass sisters.

"Think we should try again Neville?. He's completely cut all ties with Weasley and Granger " Asked Susan.

"Yeah, we'll wait till he comes out…Weasley knew of the Alliance but still chose to interfere." Said Neville.

"I know but he's got Dumbledore to protect him, auntie and Dowager Longbottom can't touch him for interfering in the Potter Alliance." Said Susan.

"You think he's really back?" Asked Neville,

"I know he's back…auntie is scared. She had been to the graveyard Harry mentioned. she and the head of the unspeakables had discovered the remains of a dark ritual." Said Susan.

"Shit." Said Hannah. The three of them after finishing their butterbeer see Ron and Hermoine walking together. Neville wanted to give Ron a good beating. Lately he has been so angry with how Harry was being treated by gryffindor he himself hates his house

"Don't Nev ... .its not worth it" said Hannah seeing him get angry, a crash is heard and a witch is seen running away with her child. "Run!"

"Run from what?" Wondered Hannah before she got her answer. A creature appeared before it smashed into honeydukes,It had a lion's head, a goat's body and a dragon's tail. Several wizards were chasing after it and were trying to contain it but backed away.

"Holy shit! Is that a Chimeara!" Said Hannah.

"It must have escaped from its cage. It was part of the third task." Said Susan remembering her aunt's list of the creatures that would be part of the final task.

The Chimeara then sees them standing there and it roars. Charging at them. "Run!" Said Neville pushing the girls away. The Triwizard committee tried to contain the monster with ropes and chains they conjured with their wands. The monster didn't stop as it broke through the chains with ease.

Neville shouted. "Split up! I'll get it to chase me!"

"What Neville, don't be crazy!" Said Hannah but Susan grabbed his hand and led her away. Neville pulled out his fathers wand and casted a couple of Stunners to get the beast's attention.

Neville then turns to the left which thankfully the beast followed after him. He thought if he could give the beast a slip. He can get back to the school but unfortunately fate had other plans when the beast was able to get ahead of him and roared in his face. He fell backward on his butt. He avoided the tail of the beast. Rolling away and he

Pulled for his fathers wand. The wand was knocked out of his hand by the beasts tail and it roared. It charged again at him and he dodged out of the way. It crashed into a building right behind him. He then went for his fathers wand but Malfoy beat him to the punch. "Nice knowing you Squib!" He darkly taunted. Neville watched as he snapped his fathers wand in half and tossed it to him.

Never had the boy felt so much anger build up in him. His fathers wand was snapped right in front of his face by Malfoy. Neville began to growl as he was unaware he was transforming. Malfoy paled as he watched the Squib transform into a large black grizzly bear. The bear stood over him and before he could run. The bear pins him down on the ground and lets out a big roar. Large sharp teeth are inches from his face and Malfoy could only do the right thing and scream like a little girl.

The Chimeara came back and it roared at the bear. The animal returned the roar back and the two clashed. The Chimeara tried to go for a bite but the bear pinned the beast down and bites down on the beasts throat. The bear also clawed the downed beast with fury until the beast stopped moving, the bear then turned his attention to Malfoy who was still on the ground . The bear roared ready to kill him when Hannah came and stood between him and malfoy.

"Neville stop!,"

The bear could only roar in her face but Hannah stayed still not even scared. Amelia and a few aurors had arrived and saw the dead Chimeara and the bear.

Susan went straight for Malfoy and she kicks him right in the stomach, "you fucking asshole."

"Susan!" Barked Amelia.

"This fucking wanker broke Neville's wand and almost let Neville get killed." Said Susan.

"Where is Neville" said Amelia before she saw the Bear and she casted "Homenum Revelio"

A glow came over the bear which confirmed it for Amelia. She then casted another spell which was the anti Animagus charm which then reverted the bear back to Neville who was now in nothing but his underwear. He glares at Malfoy and he goes to the downed heir and he picks him up by the collar of his neck. you ever do something like that to me again…I'll tear you apart…you got that?"

Malfoy, who was still scared by his transformation, could only nod and Neville smelled something raunchy coming from malfoy. He said dropping the idiot."You may also want to go change your clothes…I can smell it."

Malfoy runs away to the castle. He then sees the dead Chimeara and he said, "I claim right of conquest. Since I killed this beast, the carcass his mine…Madam Bones, can you have it taken to my Grandmother."

"Of course Neville. Also i will need you to fill out an Animagus registration form later" said Amelia before she and her three went back up to the castle."

/end flashback/

"The Chimeara carcass has been harvested by the same crew that took care of the Serpent of Slytherin. Neville sent some of the money from the dead beast to pay for the damage to honeydukes and other buildings" said Augustus.

"Even though Malfoy broke my wand. I knew better than to go after him since his dad has the Minister under his pocket." Said Neville pulling out his new wand his grandmother took him to get, "grandmother replace it with this one. cherry with a unicorn hair as a core, eight and a half inches."

"Boys and their wands" muttered Susan.

"Sirius..are you leaving for the states tonight?" Asked Amelia.

"Aye, catching a Portkey that will take me to the pup. Gonna take care of a few things while I am in new york." Said Sirius.

"Can you hand these to him. There are letters from the twins, Ginny and I. Hedwig hasn't been seen since they left" said Neville, handing Sirius the letters.

"Can do" said Sirius, taking the letters. "Neville, have you given your bear form a name?"

"no I haven't?" Said Neville.

"Merlin's sakes, you both are gonna make him a marauder aren't you" said Amelia.

"We are, I Padfoot and Moony. The last of the Marauders wish to welcome you Neville as one of us." Said Sirius. He pulled out his new wand and held it up high

Remus with his wand out replied . "We hear-by christened you as Bjorn,"

"Bjorn…..I like it" said Neville liking his Mauraders nickname. The two Marauders put away their wands.

Sirius looked at Remus before he asked…"shall we Moony"

The two former Marauders left, leaving Neville, Susan and Hannah with their guardians.

"Noe you three still wish to proceed with this training?" Asked Amelia.

"We do Auntie ... .if he really is back. We need to be ready if minister fudge ain't gonna do anything" said Susan,

"Very well…starting tomorrow, you three will begin your training with Alastor. I think he's still a bit mad at Albus for leaving him to rot inside that trunk of his for about a year" said Augustus. Neville, Susan and Hannah can only agree with her.
